Personal Description:
Qualified and experienced German tutor for 13 years working mainly with adults who need German for business and personal reasons.

Teaching Experience:

Have been teaching German as foreign language for 5 years in South Africa as part of a naval project in collaboration with the Bundeswehr. Furthermore have been tutoring individuals for the past 13 years (from child carers to tour operators). Have upgraded my skills with the Goethe Institute in Cape Town and also attended some teaching seminars of which one was with the German Defense Force at their language school in Cologne. Have a degree in languages as well as a national diploma in German teaching didactic.

Tutoring Approach:

I think that communication is a priority and that a course should be customized according to the specific client's need. I believe that learning a language should be fun and that even adults learn easier with games and topics that they are interested in. The grammar and writing skills should be integrated in the learning process without boring the learner. The other important aspect is to introduce German culture and and Germany to the client in order to get bigger picture of language and its context.

Personal Description:
A creative Qualified Languages Teacher and Proofreader, with a variegated working experience in different contexts and multicultural environments.

More than 11 years of study and work experience as a languages teacher and multilingual translator/interpreter/proofreader (Italian, Spanish, French, English and Romanian).

As a teacher I aim to enable my students to enjoy a first-hand experience of what exactly speaking, thinking and reacting in a new language means. Adopting a different mindset enriches their perspectives on life and broadens their horizons.
With excellent results, I fully exploit the potential of authentic materials (songs, short films, films, books, newspaper articles, literature) and drama techniques, which I had the opportunity to deeply research at the Institute of Education and subsequently put into practice in the London schools for which I worked.

My lessons are always student-centred, interactive, stimulating and related to real life, cultural situations and/or to exam requirements (GCSE, A-levels, International Baccalaureate, IELTS, TEFL), according to students' needs.

I place high value on mutual respect, cooperation and active participation, the use of humour and imagination. Since I am very ambitious, determined and have high expectations, my students and I always work arduously and achieve our objectives.

Offering tuition in Italian, Spanish, English and Romanian at any level (beginners - intermediate - advanced).

Key achievements:
1- Gained a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) from a top tier university (Institute of Education, University of London);

2- Won the National Competition of Romanesque Languages - Italian language section (in 2003 and 2004 with a 10/10 result);

3- Conceived and ran an English language Workshop project for Cranfield University's students, where all had the possibility to teach and learn, revise grammar, discuss and share opinions.

R. Williams, A-level student's parent
Subject: Spanish (GCSE) Outcome: Our daughter received A* in both oral and written exams
An excellent and conscientious tutor, Cerasala has provided excellent support for our daughter in preparation for her Spanish IGCSE. She always comes prepared with topics for her lessons and uses varied and interesting materials to build on the syllabus. She really helped develop confidence in both spoken and written language. She is always on time, reliable and charming.

Ana, Lower Sixth student, The Harrodian School:

"I have known Ms Cerasela since September this year, when she became my private tutor for Italian language.
Ms Cerasela is an extraordinary young teacher. As her pupil I have seen many examples of her talent in linguistics and her broad interests not only in the Italian culture and civilisation but also in British, French and Spanish as well. She communicates her ideas clearly, in a smooth and efficient manner. She is reliable, dynamic and intelligent person with a good sense of humour. It is a pleasure to spend some time with her every week and I benefit a lot from her knowledge.
I will always hold her in the highest esteem and I highly recommend Ms Cerasela as a talented teacher and a great person. "

Ms Agatha, MFL Teacher Elthorn Park High School, London.

"Cerasela assisted me with my IB Italian class, therefore I got to know her very well.
I was not only impressed by her total commitment and dedication to teaching but also by her great linguistic ability and multi - talent in all areas of teaching. She immediately felt at ease with pupils of all ages and quickly developed a warm, positive and trusting relationship in which students felt valued and encouraged to work hard.
Cerasela also was well liked by all members in the Language Faculty because of her ability to work well in a team and for making valuable contribution to the department.
Cerasela's punctuality and attendance record was outstanding because of the fact that she is a very reliable and conscientious person who would never want to let anyone down.
Cerasela would be an asset to anyone who is employing her. I therefore recommend her to you without any reservations."

Ms Gergana, Head of Spanish at Elthorn Park High School, London.

"During her time at Elthorn, Cerasela has demonstrated that she has high expectations of pupils and has been an excellent role model for them.
Cerasela has been a real asset to the department. She shows a clear capacity to evaluate different teaching approaches and to reflect upon her own practice. She has worked very effectively as part of the Modern Foreign Languages team and built rapport with learners.
I cannot comment highly enough her ability to independently plan and research her materials and evaluate her teaching."

Patrizia, Director at CeSPI (Centro Studi Problemi Internazionali) - NGO
" [] she has completely succeeded in organising her own lessons delineating a programme with clear objectives, which has completely brought to completion, proving a clear confidence and the right flexibility and pro-activity in dealing with a totally variegate and stimulating group of students. At the end of the course she has received the maximum of appreciation from both students and teachers for her commitment and professionalism."

Teaching Experience:

9 years of private tuition (Italian/English) to both children and adults in Italy and Romania;
5 years business Italian teacher, Translator and Proofreader;
4 years of Spanish, French and Romanian teacher/private tutor in Italy and UK.

Tutoring Approach:

Aiming to encourage students to develop to their full potential and enrich their linguistic and cultural heritage through the use of cutting-edge language teaching techniques.

With excellent results, I fully exploit the potential of authentic materials (music, short films, books, articles) and drama techniques, which I had the opportunity to deeply research at the Institute of Education (University of London) and then put into practice in the London schools I worked for. These techniques have proved to stimulate and engage students of all ages and language levels.

My lessons are always student-centred, interactive, stimulating and related to real life, cultural situations or to exam requirements, according to students' needs. I have prepared students for: GCSE (Edexcel and AQA boards), A-levels and International Baccalaureate.

"Absolutely brilliant for Italian tuition, saved my grammar! At first, I was as apprehensive as anyone would be when I thought about tuition over skype - but if anything, it`s more effective. Instead travelling to a tutor, getting tired, getting home and thinking `I`ll just relax with a bit of TV` and then never picking up a book - The lesson was on time and intense, and I wasn`t too tired afterwards to do other revision. Also, when learning grammar, I suddenly remember something I don`t understand - but Cerasela can send me the link to resources immediately rather than having to wait to print them off. Thank you so much Cerasela for everything!"
A-level student testimonial

This is an A-level student`s testimonial who has recently contacted me for face to face tuition. Since she did not live close to my house I suggested we had a trial lesson over Skype. She has been open minded enough to try it and, from her review, the outcome is quite obvious.

Although some students are initially biased towards online tuition, all those who have tried it once have found this money, energy and time-saving way of learning be as effective as face to face tuition, if not even better.

They have all very much appreciated:

- the extremely quick way of receiving resources and taking notes through instant message exchange used to clarify spelling
- the possibility to later retrieve the information
- the possibility to record the sessions and therefore be able to listen again for correct pronunciation and natural intonation
- the opportunity to have lessons at any time, in different places, whether at home or on holiday, without incurring extra travelling costs and waste energy.

I would therefore encourage students to give it a try and do not let themselves be conditioned by unfounded fears. After all, there is nothing to lose, but everything to gain.

Tutoring Approach:

Having taught for over 30 years I am extremely familiar with the exam specifications and the skills needed to achieve the highest grades. Personal Description:
Having always taken academic learning seriously myself, I am keen to help others do the same. My 12 A* GCSEs led to A* A* A* A grades at A Level, and now I'm studying towards a French degree at Oxford University. I am a very capable linguist, whose knowledge has a particular depth to it, having studied French, German, Latin and English Literature at A Level. This level of expertise stems from a natural love for these subjects, and this passion is a great asset for a tutor to have.

Teaching Experience:

I have assisted Key Stage 4 lessons at Chesterton Community College, taking small groups aside to help them with grammar and speaking tasks.

Tutoring Approach:

As I teach, I am able to focus on the exact components of the subject which it is necessary to know for the examination being taken, so that everything I teach is of the utmost relevance. Having been through the same exams I will be teaching, I will make it clear exactly how to excel. This practical approach is nonetheless accompanied by the natural enthusiasm which I have for these subjects.
As an Oxford University student, I am also well-equipped to shed light on the Oxbridge application process, as well as the application process for Hills Road Sixth Form College, which is where I took my A Levels.

Experienced Science Teacher (Physics, Chemistry and Biology). I am currently working in an secondary school in Feltham and have been teaching for 15 years.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught in both the independent and state sector as well as having taught in America. This has given me invaluable insights into honing my style of teaching to suit the tutees requirements. I have taught a wide range of pupils from those wishing to achieve a C grade pass at GCSE to Oxbridge applicants.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is completely dependent on the tutee. I have the potential to be a very patient teacher but also know when pupils require the motivation to focus their efforts on achieving the desired result. Personal Description:
I have recently retired from full-time teaching but remain very active in the field of education. Apart from private tuition, I work as a consultant for schools both locally and nationally; I am a highly rated examiner for AQA and I deliver courses on their behalf to schools and teachers.

Teaching Experience:

I taught both Economics and Business Studies at GCSE and A level with great success in terms of examination success; for most of that time I was head of a large department.

Tutoring Approach:

Students find that I am easy to relate to. I am very calm and friendly by nature, the vast experience I have of working with students aged 14-19 means that I feel very comfortable working with young people. This is something which appears not to diminish with age! The depth of knowledge I have means that I can recognize whether or not a student has full understanding of ideas and if they have not I am able to find alternative ways of explaining until the concept has been grasped. A particular strength lies in my careful and detailed analysis of past examination papers to ensure that I cover the things which are needed and avoid the things which are not.
For students who do not live in the Lincolnshire area I am able to provide on-line tuition.

Personal Description:
I am a teacher of science and chemistry. I have been a teacher since 2003 and I have taught all the exam syllabus, even with the most recent changes. I have tutored successfully for the past three year and I have been an exam marker for the past 5 year and still do mark now. I have a good idea of exactly what is required for the exam boards and I cater for all styles of learning.

I provide all resources and travel costs are included in my hourly fee. The reason for the increased charge for a level is the extra time it takes to prepare and also more printing and resources are usually required.

I have a Dbs from Nov 2015 and can provide tutoring references on request.

Teaching Experience:

Teaching 2003 to present
Tutoring from 2010 to present
exam marking 2008 to present
University tutor 2015 to present

Tutoring Approach:

varied depending on the needs of the tutee. I find that learning and practicing in the session works well. I will then leave similar questions for the tutee to complete before the next session. this helps me see if the student is making progress in the sessions and they can see the progress themselves. Other styles that work are going through exam questions, identifying key points and using revision techniques that can be taught in the sessions.

I do believe that tutoring is not a substitute for revision but in addition and it is important that tutees are committed to revision if they wish tutoring to be sucessful.

I would like to point out that I cannot garentee any grade but will always go above and beyond to help students achieve their best.

Personal Description:
I'm an Oxford physics student who enjoys teaching and learning maths and science. I am friendly, academic and approachable.
I achieved 4 A* grades at A level, in physics, chemistry, maths and further maths. At GCSE level, I achieved 11 A* grades, including maths, further maths, triple science and English.

Teaching Experience:

I tutored several different students for a number of years in maths and science whilst I was at school, all of whom subsequently saw improvements in their grades. I am also currently helping with a voluntary tutoring programme in Oxford for educationally disadvantaged children.

Tutoring Approach:

I mainly offer intensive end-of-term revision courses in maths and science.. My next available time will be after the 13th of March.

I like to agree goals with the tutee before starting, both long term and for each individual tutoring session, so that I can prepare to work precisely on these areas for improvement.

I would happily offer discounts for multiple tutees.

Personal Description:
I am a third-year medical student achieving Honours in Years One and Two. I can teach Biology, Chemistry and Maths at all levels up to, and including, GCSE level.
I also have three years experience helping students prepare for 7+, 11+, and 13+ school entrance exams.
I have a 100% success rate with all my students to date.

Teaching Experience:

For the last 3 years, I have tutored many young students for the 7+, 11+, 13+, school entrance exams, as well as students working towards GCSE exams. This experience has allowed me to develop my own tutoring style, and given me a great insight as to the most effective ways of teaching a range of different students.

Tutoring Approach:

My flexible teaching style is based around the specific learning needs of each individual student. My approach, however, is both methodical and systematic as I find this ensures that my student has a comprehensive understanding of each topic so that they can then independently find the answers to any questions without needing input from me. Specific topics will be worked through, worked solutions used then followed up by similar questions to establish that the concept has been fully understood and applied in an examination style format. Each lesson is carefully organised, with clear learning objectives. I am aware that students have pre-existing school and extracurricular workloads, so any homework set will be done with quality of work considered over quantity.
I aim to install enthusiasm and provide clarity while teaching.
