Personal Description:
PhD in Psychology, I have taught young adults for 6 years and tutored in 1-to-1 for 3 years. My main interests are in cognition, and research methods and statistics.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught in many different settings and also participated to outreaching activities, providing me with a wide scope of teaching methods and the flexibility needed to teach a range of students with different levels and backgrounds.
Specifically, I have been teaching research methods and statistics extensively. I also have been marking research/lab reports and essays, and have supervised successfully 30 project students over the last 3 years. This experience will allow me to support you with your project of any kind (e.g., dissertation). Please note however that I have very little experience in qualitative research and typically cannot help with such projects.
Should you be a student in my own institution (a London university), I will not be able either to take your offer, due to conflicts of interest (please mention your university when messaging me).

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that you can teach and tutor at student level without dumbing down, by showing the relevance of the content to the student's interests.

I can provide support at any time if online, and face-to-face over weekends.

I am enthusiastic about helping other people with academic subjects, and enjoy teaching and explaining various topics in science and maths. I have a personal love for these subjects and I am always interested to learn more.

Teaching Experience:

I have been invited by Mosslands School to join their mentoring programme aimed at year 11 students to help them with maths and achieve the highest grade they can.

Highly intelligent and approachable individual with strong academic and professional achievements. I changed career from being a Chartered Surveyor to a Mathematics teacher because of my passion for teaching and my strong belief that a good teacher is crucial to a child's future. Teaching Experience:

I obtained my PGCE teaching qualification at the Birmingham City University and am now teaching mathematics at a secondary school (11-16) in the local area. I recently tutored a young lady who was on her last chance to pass her QTS numeracy test. After 6 hours tuition from me she was confident in her ability and passed.

Personal Description:
Hi, I am a student of Physics and astronomy at Cardiff University. I am 20 years old and I was born in Prague, Czech Republic. I have many hobbies (Astrophotography, RC models,) as well as interests in sports (rowing, skiing, diving, cycling).

Teaching Experience:

During my last year of college I was chosen by Maths academy of my college to tutor my year younger class mates. Although the offer was initially only for Maths, I soon also tutored Physics, Chemistry. During last 3 years I was an instructor at a summer camp. I was responsible for group of 10 boys(age 8-11). At this camp I also did presentation about astronomy and science generally as well as helping their struggles at school.

Tutoring Approach:

The only way be successful at science subjects, tutee must understand the topics instead just memorising the subject. Because of this I mainly emphasise on understanding and completing enough exercise. I also try to relate the question to the real life problem (or experience) to make it easier to imagine it.

Personal Description:
I live in central London where I also have a studio and work as an artist. My time is divided between developing and exhibiting my own work, working part time as a Studio Manger for a successful international artist and private tutoring.

In 2003 I completed a BA Honours in Fine Art at Northumbria University where I achieved a 1st. I went on to gain a research bursary from the Arts and Humanities Research Council and a place to study an MA at the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, London, which I completed in 2006. Following on from the Slade, I was awarded the Adrian Carruther's Prize which provided a studio in London for a year and a bursary.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience in tutoring Fine Art to all levels of learning from primary through to University. In addition, I give portfolio guidance for students working towards GCSEs, A Levels, and art school/university applications as well as portfolio and theoretical advice, guidance and mentoring to win art scholarships, bursary's and awards. I also provide help with writing personal statements and interview techniques.

Between my BA and MA I was invited to be a Fellow for a year at Northumbria University. During this placement I was responsible for; teaching the undergraduate life drawing class, taking technical workshops and assisting the tutors on their teaching programme. Previously, I have worked as a mentor on a creative development scheme at the University for Creative Arts; to develop students' art practice, professional development and portfolios.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in finding out the needs and requirements of each of my students and building a structured plan which will be achieved through clearly identifiable goals. My approach to tutoring is to create a positive and enjoyable teaching environment to increase confidence, knowledge, skills and provide students to work independently on their own initiative.

I provide tuition for all ages and abilities developing; knowledge of trends, history, and styles of the discipline, knowledge of key practitioners of the discipline, both historical and contemporary, and understanding of the creative process (e.g., inspiration, planning, developing an idea, using materials and techniques, expression).

Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic and patient teacher with a passion for Mathematics. I believe that life is a constant learning experience and get much satisfaction in helping students in achieving their goals. I am extremely flexible and am always happy to go the extra mile for my pupils. For many pupils I understand Maths can be a very boring subject to some pupils however I choose to engage them with real life application of Mathematics, in order so they can truly appreciate the importance and satisfaction Mathematics can bring.

Teaching Experience:

I have extensive experience in teaching people from a wide variety of backgrounds to include very young children, some with learning difficulties, to high achieving GCSE students. I have even spent some time tutoring prisoners, helping them to learn functional Mathematical skills.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe the key to teaching success lies in the ability to tailor learning styles to the individual. My style of teaching therefore changes from pupil to pupil, and I like to encourage a general curiosity in my students to enable them to learn more from the world around them. I teach not just what to learn but HOW to learn it, as this is an essential skill for future years of studying ( at University etc)
