Teaching Experience:

I was a tutor at a saturday supplementary school ( Future Generation Youth Club) at bethnal green in London. I teach people from primary to secondary level.

Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic and committed teacher and enjoy teaching all subjects, in particular maths and literacy. I strive to make learning interactive and fun for children and get a lot of satisfaction from helping children to achieve their potential.

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified primary school teacher and work mainly with 7-11 year olds. Prior to qualifying I worked for several years as a teaching assistant, often working on a one-to-one basis with children. I have a good range of teaching methods which I use to help children develop their knowledge and learning skills. I am able to build strong relationships with children, encouraging and leading them to become confident, independent learners. In addition to primary teaching I also have experience of teaching GCSE maths and level 2 adult maths.

Tutoring Approach:

All children are individuals and learn in different ways. I would undertake an initial assessment for your child and tailor lessons accordingly. I will always look at what children can do and work with them to discover the gaps in their knowledge and any misconceptions they may have. I feel it is important to set achievable targets and build up children's confidence in their own abilities. Linking the teaching of literacy and maths to other subjects and real life situations makes learning more meaningful to children.

Personal Description:
I am an OCR Chemistry A Level examiner (specification A) and a teacher in a sixth form college. I have a PhD in Biochemistry (Distinction) and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Distinction). Currently, I am only taking tutees studying the above mentioned specification, in order to provide highly specialised support. I offer tuition in person as well as online.

I have a PhD in Biochemistry (Distinction) and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Distinction). My hobbies are varied, but I would mention football and chess.

Teaching Experience:

I have been an A Level Chemistry classroom teacher for four years. The knowledge and skills gained from delivering this specification allows me to tailor lessons to my tutee's needs. My resources and worksheets range from introduction of topics to activities that challenge students to the A* grade. I am aware of typical problem areas where students struggle as well as common misconceptions, and I tackle them in ways that students feel comfortable with. In addition to A Level Chemistry, my classroom teaching experience also includes GCSE Chemistry and HND in Applied Chemistry Level 4 and 5 (equivalent to first and second year of a chemistry degree).

My experience as an A Level Chemistry examiner enables me to guide students on how to maximise their performance in exams. I work with my students through mark schemes, helping them to interpret them, and revise independently. I emphasise the need for accurate terminology in explanations and clear working out of calculations. Also, I help students understand the structure of standard exam questions as well as approaches to unfamiliar ones.

As a private tutor, my teaching approach varies depending on the needs of the tutee. I have experience in helping students starting A2 , resitting AS, students aiming for A*, and students with special needs.

Tutoring Approach:

In the first lesson I show original documentation for identity, proof of qualifications and DBS (previously known as CRB) to my students and their parents.

I offer the first lesson as a free no obligation lesson, which is only charged if students decide to continue to have further lessons with me. Therefore if after the first lesson you are not fully satisfied and decide not to come back, then you would not have to pay for it.

My approach to teaching students consists of the following steps:
-To establish a good atmosphere between the student and myself.
-To identify the student's current level and the difficulties they are experiencing in the topic we are going to start working on.
-To define the learning objectives for the session so that students have a clear idea of what they need to learn.
-To keep a continuous interaction with the student during the whole lesson though questioning and different activities in order to keep the student engaged whilst I can check if learning is taking place.
-To evaluate the session in terms of what the student has mastered and what needs further work.
-To set homework so that the student consolidates the acquisition of new concepts and skills.

Personal Description:
I am a qualified IT specialist and taught Computing and IT at secondary school. I am currently working as a tutor within schools and privately teaching English, Maths, Physics and IT. I am very patient, and approachable. I have years of experience working with both young people and adults, as in the past I was responsible for the training and development of 30 staff. I have carried out training needs analysis and recognized training and development resulting from the gaps identified. I helped the organisation to achieve both Investors In People and Charter Mark awards.

Teaching Experience:

I have over 15 years experience training and development of employees in an organisation, working with consultants to develop training courses and workshops for the staff. I have taught very successfully for over 5 years in schools and have got really good feedback from students and parents. I am passionate about teaching and committed to helping students make real academic progress. I take a holistic view, I am supportive and sensitive to the students/tutees needs. I am able to work with tutees with special educational needs as I will differentiate resources accordingly. I generally agree and set targets, which are regularly checked to ensure progress towards the learning outcome. In tutoring, resources are tailored to meet the learner's needs. I have been developing my pedagogy and teaching skills by working in schools that provide education for students with special needs in particular those on the Autism Spectrum.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring sessions are interactive, fun and stimulating as I believe it is important to help students explore and understand their skills and knowledge base. I support each student in all aspects of learning, including homework support, speaking, listening, reading, writing, practical and functional skills, students undertake assessments to improve both their subject knowledge and examination results. I love this profession because you never stop learning; every new part requires research into a historical epoch or subject creating an expansive remit which no course I can imagine could afford.

Personal Description:
My name is Gordon age 49 I am certified in Computer Applications and Networks (CAN). Self taught casual programmer of 20 years. I currently offer tutoring services online via Internet-using text E-Mail, Video E-Mail and **Contact Detail Removed**. I can tutor anyone at my local public library.

Teaching Experience:

My portfolio includes my own self published training materials on PC CD-ROM. recently completed a KIOSK program last year. I currently publish my own training materials on PC CD-ROM as part of my tutoring package. I can introduce, and tutor several software packages help you develop your own applications in a very short time. Student should be computer literate and have the background knowledge of the subject matter they are writing. For example, if you are writing a PC CD-ROM driving course are you a driving instructor/Training Provider?

Software packages I tutor can include:

Building executable files
HTML WYSIWYG
Web Browser Plug-Ins
Flip Book Documents
Introduction to computer Games
Creating CD Graphic Arts
I can work:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday nights online as a guide rates of pay are 10 per hour minimum. Rates of pay are may be discussed on an individual basis. Student will need a computer using Windows and Internet Access to get started.

Tutoring Approach:

As a self taught casual computer program developer learning at my own pace has become very important. Computer programming is a very deep and broad subject. Under my guidance students can work at their own pace and challenge themselves as little or as much as they want. The good news is that a student can learn to write a computer application in a very short time and without four years of college. Students are not graded and no testing is required. More productive levels can be reached if the student has a good idea for a computer application. This idea could come from the work place or a hobby they may have.

I use my own screen captured videos and hand-outs to help students achieve what they want. Everyone has their own learning style some of us learn best by reading, others like to be shown and the rest of us want hands-on training.

I am not the foremost expert on anything, if I don't know the answer to a students question I simply tell them and help them find the answer.

Knowing how to write your own applications is just another feather in a cap for private instructors, business owners, B&B's, human resources, government, and book publishers. These are referred to as 'Vertical Markets' in the software industry (search 'wikipedia vertical markets'). Private computer owners are welcome.

Personal Description:
I have been teaching full time for some years preferring to work in the private tutition/coaching area because the personal satisfaction is higher.

I have a first class honours degree in chemistry from the University of Leicester, a DPhil from the University of Oxford and a PGCE [Chemistry] from Oxford.

Over the years I have successfully helped hundreds of students to achieve success.

In-between sessions students can contact me by email or telephone for support with exam questions or school work at no extra charge rather than waiting until the next meeting.

I am free to meet with students if the day time if this is more convenient. Alternatively I have a lot of experience of teaching via Skype if this is preferred. At the moment I only have one slot free on a Tuesday and one on a Wednesday

Currently I am teaching:

4 A-level chemistry students, 2 via Skype

Personal Description:
From my experience in the classroom I realise that many students benefit from much more individual help than school can provide. I enjoy being able to help students on a one-to-one basis as it is very rewarding being able to improve their achievement and confidence.I am very grateful to my students and their parents for the relationships we have struck up, many of which have continued through the years.

Teaching Experience:

I am an English teacher with over 20 years experience teaching to GCSE, A-level and Oxbridge entrance.I have taught in both the independent and state sectors, in a large comprehensive and a small independent school. I have also tutored in Oxford and London for students from 10 to 19.

Tutoring Approach:

One to one or small groups of 2 or 3.

I aim to develop confidence by supporting the students and understanding their needs as a priority. I then encourage them to explore and develop ideas, giving them support while they grow in this. The key is building an excellent relationship in which high expectations enable them to make progress while always supported.

Personal Description:
After finishing my A level in Weymouth, Dorset, I then went to Essex University in Colchester to study Science. Ater getting my first degree, I then decided to do a masters Degree in Chemistry and passed. In my University days, I have always loved Maths and Science and in my first year at University, I did Physics, Chemistry and Maths. I have a very high understanding of Maths because of my passion for Maths and I have solve several problems in Maths, Physics and Chemistry up to A level. I am very passionate about numbers and anything that has numbers in it, I will solve. My chemical knowledge is absolutely unbelievable. I have been taeching Chemistry and Maths longer than A level Physics but I teach A level Physics in my current School. If you really want to be tutored by someone who understand and know how to teach, then, contact me and I will get you the best possible grade in Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Teaching Experience:

I actually started teaching as soon as I left University in 1993. In those days, I did not have teaching qualification. I then decided to get some experience outside education. After gaining experience in Industries, I decided to get back into teaching and took my teaching qualification. I am now a fully qualified teacher and then started teaching again in September 2007. My strength in teaching has always been on a one to one basis. I do teach in a Grammar School at the moment but I always prefer to teach on a one to one basis because I enjoy helping individual student's as each student's requirement is different and you can't properly help individual student's in a class of 30 students. I am very passionate about teaching and devote a lot of my time teaching.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring style is quite unique. Being a school teacher myself, I now understand why it is so difficult for students to understand the subjects that I teach. I do not believe in pressurising students to learn. I prefer a much more relaxed atmosphere whereby the students needs and requirement is the absolute paramount. Style of teaching is also important and how you come across to the students is also very important. Investing into new ways and new ideas in order to aid students understanding is also very important. When you come to me for tutoring, I will not move unto another topic until I am fully satisfied that you have understood the topic that we are doing at the moment and that you can answer questions on those topics that we have done comfortable and confidently.

Personal Description:
I am a successful local tutor and teacher with an MA in Education from Oxford Brookes University (2016), a Postgraduate Diploma in English and Language in Education from the University of Reading (2012). I also have a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Secondary - English) from Oxford Brookes University (2007) and a BA Hons in English Literature (2006). I am passionate about my subject and enthusiastic about improving both my pedagogical and subject knowledge. With A Level clients, I often re-read the key exam texts and exam specifications in order to deliver a successful tutorial. For GCSE, I am confident with multiple exam boards but, again, I take a sincere interest in changes to qualifications and specifications. I have recently led a team of ten teachers in our delivery of the GCSE English qualification through WJEC. Part of my role included observing good teaching practice and documenting this for staff appraisals.

Teaching Experience:

I have ten years experience of working in the state secondary sector as a Qualified English Teacher; teaching anything from Key Stage 3 (11 years - 14 years) up to Key Stage 5 (A Level) including GCSE. I currently teach GCSE and iGCSE English at a popular FE college for adults, returning to education, and for full-time learners aged 16+. In addition, I have previously worked as a Learning Support Assistant, at a Catholic primary school in Reading. I have also taught American children how to use movie editing packages, such as iMovie, in Maine, USA.

Tutoring Approach:

The rapport with the parent is as just as important as the tutee. In order to make a success of the tuition, it's paramount to have a good professional relationship with both. I use feedback from the tutee's parent (via a school report) and informal feedback from the tutee to create an Individual Tuition Plan which includes setting three clear targets. Depending on the key stage and ability of the tutee, this can range anything from parenthetic comma use to translating Chaucerian poetry!

Personal Description:
I am 33 years old and married. I am a Science teacher at a well known state school in Hackney.

Teaching Experience:

I started teaching whilst living in Asia. I taught English for over 5 years and predominantly through tutoring. I then began teaching I.B Biology at British International school in Shanghai for two years. I have now been teaching in the UK for 4 years and have taught OCR, AQA and Edexcel GCSE science as well as OCR AS/A2 Biology.

Tutoring Approach:

I consider myself to be extremely friendly and personable and think its very important to make sessions fun and enjoyable whilst really pushing students to achieve above and beyond their expected grades. Developing a strong bond with the students so that they are comfortable is extremely important to me. However, I also feel that students must be able to feel that they are making progress at school. As such I like to make sure that I am teaching on top of what they are learning at school. I proactively teach materials before they are taught at school so they are more able to engage and excel in the classroom. I also like to help prep students for exams by going over past papers together and building exam techniques/strategies. I like to show presentations through my computer and work though activity sheets and past papers.

Personal Description:
A warm welcome to students and parents,

Teaching has always been my passion and now I am very delighted that I can use my teaching ability to help children achieve their full potential on an everyday basis.

I have been tutoring children over the last four years from Nursery to GCSE level within the Coventry area. I have also worked in a number of schools as a full time qualified teacher. I always receive positive feedback from clients with my most memorable being "Miss J always goes that extra mile to help bridge the gaps in one's academic learning journey". Having moved from secondary school, straight to completing my A-levels and then onto university, I have developed a wide range of knowledge in helping children tackle their weaknesses, embrace their strengths and take pride in their learning achievements.

Teaching Experience:

Tutoring children is my full time profession, which has enabled me through time to develop carefully chosen activities to maximise every child's learning potential. After graduating with a teaching degree from university, I decided to go straight into teaching in schools. I really enjoyed this and developed many skills within the teaching world. After sometime, I decided I wanted to help children on a 1:1 basis as this method was so effective for those children that would not show their potential in school, or for those who were shy… or where teachers would not be able to pay attention to specific children because of the thirty in the class. Now, I teach children at diverse levels and I really enjoy it.

Within this four year period, I have taught and excelled over 200 students at different times. This has been really rewarding for me, as I am a natural teacher at heart and I really do take my work seriously.

Consequently, I have also had 3 years of university experience in the world of teaching, covering all aspects of the national curriculum, assessments and independent learning strategies to challenge children.

Every term, I give children mock term assessments as integral preparation to help consolidate their learning. This enables me to know how much they have learnt from my sessions and what areas they still need to improve on. This method is also the key for exam success.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is very systematic, however at the same time I adapt to the specific child's needs. Every child I have tutored so far, I have built a bond with. I hold a fair, firm and fun attitude towards learning.

The key services I offer on a regular basis within the tuition fee: block spelling tests, reading books every week depending on ability, phonics practice for the younger children to prepare for their year 1 phonics tests and finally, previous exam practice materials in all core subjects for KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE.

In addition, children are rewarded for their hard work through different motivational techniques and prizes through a tally chart system.

Every session entails 2-3 pieces of homework and I also give full written or verbal feedback to parents depending on their requirements.

I usually travel to clients residence or sometimes they come to my residence.

My aim is to not only teach children but to also help them enjoy their learning - by creating a safe, fun and secure learning environment.

Thank you for taking out the time to read my profile.

Kind regards,

Jay

I look for innovative ways in which I can teach and am driven by my capability of being able to instill confidence in students after two years of experience.

Tutoring Approach:

My aim is to create a friendly, non-pressured approach to learning. I realise that it is vital to build the self confidence of each of my students and to ensure a clear understanding of basic skills. I assess the children carefully through questioning and discussion to identify each child's misconceptions, strengths and weaknesses. I then use a range of strategies and explanations appropriate to that child's abilities. I ensure that the student works at his/her own pace This structured approach leads to growing understanding and confidence enabling the student to make good and often very rapid progres
