Personal Description:
I am a Spanish native speaker who has been living and teaching languages (Spanish,German in London for the past fourteen years. I love travelling and meeting people from all over the world. In the past I lived in Germany for four years where I taught Spanish to students from all backgrounds, ages and levels.

Teaching Experience:

I am a native Spanish speaker and experienced language teacher with recognised QTS. I have been devoted to language teaching in secondary schools in London for the last eleven years. For the last three years I have been devoted to giving private tuition in the twho languages as well as intensive courses (4 to 8 hours a day) to adults (linguistic immersion).

Tutoring Approach:

As a vocational teacher I take a lot of pride in my work and strive to assure all pupils achieve their full potential. I am therefore used to identifying and meeting the needs of students of differing ability, levels, ages and backgrounds and planning accordingly adapting my methods to the student's needs.
I use the communicative approach trying to use the target language as much as possible as I strongly believe languages are tools of communication and therefore they must be spoken.

Personal Description:
I am a teacher at a GCSE and Sixth Form college in west London.
I have a podcast about education, Education Bookcast. I cover one book or article on education research per week, for the benefit of teachers, parents, and anybody else who is interested.
I have been tutoring since 2006.
I also write educational software.
I am a Chemical Engineering graduate from Trinity College, Cambridge.

Teaching Experience:

I started tutoring in 2006. My students have been of a variety of levels and backgrounds, ranging from Key Stage 3 Foundation level students to GCSE, A-level, and university students.

Here are some of the things my students have to say about me:

"Stas is an excellent tutor, I am studying Mechanical Engineering and his knowledge of Maths, Mechanics and Thermo Dynamics is extensive. He explained things in a clear and precise way and was always well prepared for the sessions. He was also punctual and reliable; it was a pleasure to learn from him."
Jack, Liverpool University

"I am currently studying Chemical Engineering, and Stas tutored me for Process Engineering, his teaching was nothing but the best, i understood the course in no time. He explains everything from the basics, something i wanted. Honestly, I will recommend him any day! He is a brilliant tutor."
Zahra, Manchester University

"Stas is an enthusiastic and patient Maths tutor. He has provided me with some very good examples, and has been a great help."
Jim, Manchester Metropolitan University, MA Bioinformatics

"Stas is a great tutor. I feel much more confident with Maths now then I did when we first started. It is evident in my grades that Stas has helped me improve in Maths. He is very good at explaining the material that I don't understand; he uses different scenarios to help explain them which enables me to apply Maths to real life situations. I enjoyed our tuition sessions, as Stas made Maths fun!"
Sehr, Manchester, A-level Maths

"This has been our first experience of using a tutor and it has been very good, thanks to Stas. Not only is he very reliable, but my son has enjoyed the sessions and learnt a great deal in terms of problem solving with his maths, Further Maths and Physics. Stas has also been able to help with some more complex Chemistry work. So far, they have worked through the more challenging sections of the Further Maths syllabus and past papers. Most importantly, my son finds their sessions extremely useful and Stas inspirational to work with."
Tamlyn, London

"My son, Alex was having problem with Biology, so far he had only few lessons with Stas but there's been a huge improvement in his grade already. We have been so impressed with Stas's teaching techniques, that we are taking on extra lessons in Maths and Physics with Stas. Stas is the most genuine teacher I've come across, there is no nonsense with him. I can see that Stas truly enjoys teaching and more importantly my son finds learning from Stas is so enjoyable."
Mel, Cheshire

"Stas has been extremely helpful. He has helped me with my math problems even though I am a mature Masters student. Stas was very patient with me and took the time to fully understand my math learning needs and difficulties. He took the time to understand the methods I had been previously taught but did not fully understand. He analyzed what my difficulties and issues were regarding math basics. Stas is a very professional and an effective teacher. I would highly recommend Stas to anyone who requires a math tutor."
Paola

Tutoring Approach:

Different people have different problems, so it would be somewhat inflexible to have a completely "catch-all" approach to how to teach people.

However, I tend to prefer a teaching style where the student is as active as possible. I usually acheive this by trying to get the student to reason through problems themselves, while helping them along the way. In my experience, this also helps me see where there are gaps in the student's knowledge, and helps me understand their thought process. (It is imperative to understand where the student is in their understanding.) It also helps approach a very common problem with students, which is fear, or lack of confidence - being encouraged to think through ideas and problems which they find difficult in a safe and non-judgmental environment can help them develop a better attitude to their subject.

I also try to offer connections with, and examples from, everyday life. I generally draw and use diagrams as much as possible, or even use props, as I find it to be the most expressive way of teaching.

I am also very enthusiastic about Science and Maths. I often find that this ends up rubbing off on some of my students!

Hello there!
I am a Mothertongue Italian teacher and actor. I have studied Linguistics and taught English and Spanish in Rome and Italian in the UK. I've also acted for many years on stage & cinema. Acting and teaching are surely what I enjoy the most in life.

Teaching Experience:

I have studied Linguistics at Tor Vergata University in Rome and I've been teaching English and Spanish in Italy and Italian in England for three years now.
Being also an actor and enjoying teaching, I am an acting coach and teacher as well.

Tutoring Approach:

First of all, I check my students' level and goals. Starting from there, I am an intense teacher and coach and I give the best that I can at all times, keeping the time we spend together useful and enjoyable for my students.
I have always been very satisfied at the general success of my students, that's probably because I am quite empathic and I always chose my teaching method basing it on my student's personality and will-to-learn.

Personal Description:
I am currently a First year student of the University of Nottingham studying Finance, Accounting and Management.

I am a very enthusiastic teacher who loves to share knowledge with other people and also love learning myself.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored both Maths and English to students in Manchester Academy, in both cases students made excellent progress.

I have also tutored all 3 sciences, Maths and English to 2 children between 2013 and 2015 as well as helping one of the students with her 11+ entrance exams.

Last year I tutored another 2 children, teaching GCSE maths and science.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe 1 to 1 teaching is the best form of teaching you can provide as the child can ask as many questions without fear and also you can work on a more personal level, compared with teaching around 30 children. I like this because I can then tailor the teaching to the child so they can learn in a way that suits them, for example, if the child learns through visuals I may draw many diagrams so explain points.

Personal Description:
Passionate about teaching and a native Chinese speaker, I`m also qualified with the Certificate of Proficiency in Putonghua (mandarin) by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority. In addition, I have various tutoring experiences regarding teaching Chinese language as a foreign language, with students from different age groups. `

For mandarin tutoring, I accept and have experiences teaching students from various backgrounds and levels, including both absolute beginners and students who are able to communicate but are seeking further improvement. In particular, I`d be helping with HSK exams preparation.

Currently, I'm also in charge of a language centre holding small groups for learning Mandarin on a weekly basis, which I always seek to explain Chinese to English speakers in a simple but clear way. Materials prepared by me are strictly designed, while I also encourage students to ask me questions anytime, even not within lessons.

Please don`t hesitate to drop me a message, if you`d like to explore any interest in having Chinese lessons with me, as a private tuition or small groups.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Teaching Experience:

Levels:
- absolute beginner
- HSK exams
- IB exams
- mandarin for business use

Age range:
- adults
- some experience with kids

Tutoring Approach:

Upon my tutoring, you`d expect to have a tailor-made teaching plan, learning various skills in Chinese, including the modules of pronunciation, speaking, writing, vocabulary and listening. Materials used in class would vary among individuals, but are aimed to provide the most effective and dynamic results. Also, to help improve the language application, elements, such as songs, short videos/films shall be employed.

Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic person who is always willing to help others. To me, teaching is inspiring. Good teachers are not who just can solve hard math problems, but they should be the most passionate and motivating person to their pupils.

Teaching Experience:

I have 4 years experience in teaching English and Math to several pupils from grade 3 to grade 12.
All of my grade 12 pupils got above 8.0/10.0 in English for University Entrance National Exam.
Besides, I have participated in Children International Summer Village (CISV), a volunteering organization which educates children to act and treat others in peace. In CISV, I am a leader of groups of 4-6 kids and my responsibility is to help them get involved in activities and improve their manner.

Tutoring Approach:

Encouraging and supporting children to finish the work themselves are my main methods to guide my trainee. I believe this way would be the best for children to enhance their independent skills because children would have much more chance to do and fail and learn from the failure all by themselves.
To make my methods be more realistic, I always try to discuss with parents before working with their children to make sure that I get parents' support with my approach. My method can not be successful without parents' care and co-operations.
All in all, through diverse experience, I believe I have a good understanding about children's psychology. I always design different syllabuses for each individual depends on children's hobbies or characteristics.
