I have a BSc in Math, and Masters of Business Administration (MBA). I am also a respiratory physiologist. I have good communication skills. I am very flexible--available as needed. I work hard. I am a dependable person.

Teaching Experience:

I have the ability of explaining mathematical concepts in a very simple way that even those who hate Math start to enjoy doing Maths. I also tutor Nursing (some topics), respiratory therapy, handwriting and cake decorating.

Tutoring Approach:

I try to find out where the problem is first for the person I am tutoring. Each person is different and I tutor according to the person's needs, so my approach varies, depending on the person I am tutoring.

Personal Description:
I am a bubbly, outgoing person who loves teaching.
I was made redundant from my role on the Crime and Disorder Partnership where I was challenged to proactively tackle crime in the area.
I then decided to persue my career as a private tutor and teacher, having done it as a hobby for 3 years and found I have a passion for this field, this is now my sixth year of tutoring and have had lots of successes and am proud of all my tutees; past and present.
I can sometimes travel to you if required but prefer if I can tutor from my home.
I am available evenings and daytime and will allow single lessons or block bookings.

Teaching Experience:

I currently teach maths in a secondary school and previously taught functional skills IT to level 1 and 2
I have 2 years experience in the Public Sector working with young people and adults tackling crime and disorder through engagement and educational projects.
I have previously tutored many children to GCSE Maths and can provide references if required

Tutoring Approach:

I treat each child as an individual and relish the challenge of helping each boy or girl achieve their targets. I have an excellent rapport with children and all those I teach feel that I am very approachable, easy to talk to, kind and caring. I try to make learning fun.
I can provide one off sessions to tackle problem areas or intense revision help.

Personal Description:
I'm a postgraduate student at the University of Edinburgh and hold a Double First in Modern Languages from the University of Cambridge. I'm always learning a new language, and am passionate about helping others get the same enjoyment as I do from making progress in language learning.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience of lesson planning, teaching and tutoring a range of ages from 5 to 65, all abilities and a number of subjects: I have tutored French and Russian to GCSE and A-level standard, and students have responded well and exceeded their own goals for exam results. I have also taught large classes of all ages and abilities and received strongly positive feedback.

I also have CELTA certification which has included both teaching theory and assessed teaching practice.

Tutoring Approach:

My aim is to create an informal and supportive study atmosphere which differs from traditional classroom teaching. During the first tutoring session I will discuss with the student (and if necessary with their parents) what they aim to achieve with my help, which will allow me to adjust my teaching methods to their needs and attitudes - whether they prefer creative tasks, games, challenging translation exercises or confidence-boosting activities.

From my teaching experience I have seen that it is vital to create relevant, fun and stimulating lessons and activities to engage with the pupil and turn learning from a chore into something interesting, as interest in a subject is by far the best way to improve.

I offer a taster lesson at a reduced price (only enough to cover my own cost to UK Tutors) so that you can see if I'm the right tutor for you.

If you think I might be able to help, feel free to get in touch with any questions you might have. I look forward to hearing from you!

Personal Description:
***FULLY BOOKED UNTIL END OF SUMMER EXAMS***
I am a qualified secondary school teacher and mother of 4 children living in Caldicot. I am able to teach both Physics and Mathematics up to GCSE and A Level Physics.

Teaching Experience:

*** FULLY BOOKED UNTIL END OF SUMMER EXAMS ***
I began teaching in 2001, qualified as a Science teacher who specialises in Physics. I have been successful in raising standards of attainment in both the key stage 3 and GCSE classes I have taught. As a tutor, I have successfully supported many pupils, with all previous tutees having achieved their expected grade or better, for both Science and Mathematics disciplines. I have also tutored primary school pupils and an adult returning to GCSE studies.
I have experience of teaching most specifications including AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC Maths and Science.

I have several years experience being contracted to mark exam papers for a major examination board and was later promoted to team leader, overseeing the exam marking for a number of examiners. This has provided me with a high level of expertise of the examination system and the demands of candidates, something that I am able to use effectively as a tutor. I have gained a great deal of experience of teaching pupils with SEN.

Tutoring Approach:

*** FULLY BOOKED UNTIL END OF SUMMER EXAMS ***
I set realistic targets for the students I tutor and am wholly committed to their success. I provide all resources including worksheets, text books, exercise books. I have an excellent relationship with students and have been asked to continue tutoring on to A Level for some students. I look to identify students weaknesses and focus on developing those areas, along with coaching on how to perform well in examinations.

Lessons can take place at my home Monday to Friday from 5:30pm. Weekend lessons available (please contact for availability and prices).
I am able to travel to the students home (Caldicot and surrounding areas). Additional charges may apply for travel expenses depending on distance.

Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic tutor simply because I love to share my knowledge with other people. I enjoy making comparison between subjects and connect the most various topic.

I am not only good at Math, Physics and Chemistry, but my best skill is the planning of the time and the manner of studying. That is something that no one teach at school and in my opinion is the real power every students need.

I don't have any problem to give one free trial lesson, because I am sure you will never regret. Also I can provide any certificate I achieved.

Teaching Experience:

I have being tutoring during the whole high school (scientific Diploma at Liceo Scientifico Enrico Fermi, Bologna) and Bachelor's degree (Energy Engineering, at Alma Mater Studiorum, Bologna).
My students were not only younger than me, but mostly they were my classmate.

Tutoring Approach:

It depends on the student actually. However I can sum it up, saying:

- careful planning to achieve the goals
- working day by day, every day
- focusing on the weakness to change into strong points

Personal Description:
Hi, I'm Sarah and I live in my home town of Newark, Nottinghamshire. I'm an experienced English, Spanish and ESOL teacher who creates challenging, rewarding and interesting classes for her students.

Classes take place in Newark. However, I available to teach in Nottingham city centre on Thursdays and in Lincoln on Wednesdays.

I have just started a Master's degree in English Language and Linguistics at the University of Sheffield (currently ranked 7th in the UK for Linguistics and 1st for student satisfaction) with the view to continuing onto PhD.

I enjoy cycling and swimming as well as reading and learning about the world we live in.

Teaching Experience:

I've taught ESOL in a variety of settings including Spain, Ukraine, Myanmar and England- in private institutions, government agencies and the state education system. I can also speak the languages of the countries I have lived in (to varying degrees) so I understand what it is like to be a language learner. This is also perfect for the current demand of grammar knowledge required by the National Curriculum; as a grammarian I certainly know my stuff!

I also tutor reluctant readers and those that either need extra support outside school or extra stimulation.

I'm currently studying for a postgraduate qualification in Linguistics and have recently written thematic courses for the British Council for teenagers based on famous authors.

I am also able to tutor for IELTS, which is the examination required by many institutions for further and higher education for students who don't have English as a first language.

Tutoring Approach:

Firstly, it is important that you enjoy the classes and that you are inspired and motivated to take your learning outside the classroom and apply it to your daily lives. I will give you language that is useful to you and skills to make your language learning more effective.

I tailor the classes to engage and challenge you- based on how you learn, what your level is and what your language goals are. We will use a variety of real materials as well as books to help you learn different aspects of language.

I understand that some of you may not be able to afford the price that I charge. It is possible to arrange something, for example, joining with another student to make the classes more affordable for you. Bear in mind though, that the hourly price is per contact hour, it doesn't take into account all the other learning you will do outside the classroom with tasks that I set you, so you can ask for as little or as much study for yourself as you want.

Hope to see you soon!

I can set you as much homework as you want. If you don't have time to do any, you don't have to, this is your class, or I can set you mini- tasks that you can complete as you go about your daily life.

Practice makes perfect!

As an experienced photography tutor and former Suffolk Wildlife Trust photographer, I am able to teach many aspects of photography with the emphasis being on creative landscape, seascape & nature photography.

Each of my workshops can be designed to meet each student`s own personal level of ability and prefered subject requirements.

I offer a selection of 1, 2 & 3 full 8-hours per day workshops, 4-hour half-day sessions or hourly tuition to suit each clients needs.

Unlike many other tuition providers, I can also offer free-of-charge a full range of camera equipment to enhance the quality of tuition.

No matter what make or model of camera you use or level of ability, I can quickly teach you how to become a more proficient photographer.

Teaching Experience:

With over 15 years of tutoring experience teaching photography to students of all levels of ability, I have become one of Suffolk`s leading photography tuition providers.

Apart from over 550 individual students, my photographs and photography skills have been widely used by Photography for Beginners magazine, Amateur Photography magazine, the BBC, Briar School of English, Royal Entomological Society, the Ford Motor Company, the Suffolk Wildlife Trust, Lowestoft U3A, Bungay camera club, Aldeburgh photographic society, the Southend-on-Sea photographic society, the Lowestoft blind and partially sighted bowling club, Chet Valley photography club, Archant Publishing, St Margaret`s church Lowestoft and Carousel calendar publishers.

Tutoring Approach:

Levels of Tuition

If you are new to photography or you have a keen passion to learn more about the art of digital photography, I can offer you a suitable level of tuition to suit your needs.

Basic Level Photography

Starting from scratch, I can teach you all need to know about using any make or model of digital camera. From selecting the correct camera settings such as ISO, shutter speed and aperture settings to suit any particular subject, I can teach you all you need to know about using your camera for basic level photography.

Intermediate Level Photography

Going beyond the basic settings on the camera, I can also teach you about composition, lead-in lines, depth-of-field, selective focusing and the use of close-up filters and ring-flash for close-up photography.

Advanced Tuition

Advanced tuition allows students to select a more specific style of tuition. This can include anything from using neutral density filters for motion-blur and zoom-burst photography to using your camera for creative landscape & nature photography with workshops held 'on-location' at a variety of internationally important nature reserves, including RSPB Minsmere.

Image Enhancement & Printing

If required, we can also demonstrate how to use your computer's software to fine-tune and enhance the quality of your images.
