Personal Description:
I am a graduate from Bristol University with a Masters Degree in Mathematics, specialising in Applied Mathematics and in particular, Quantum Mechanics. I am patient and friendly, and keen to pass on my enthusiasm for the subject.
I am an avid musician and devote much of my spare time to playing piano and guitar, both of which I play in my band. I am also a big fan of going to gigs/festivals, barbeques, playing sport and hanging out with friends.

Teaching Experience:

I have been working as a private tutor since September 2011 and have had a great deal of success, the most recent of which (August 2013) including a student being accepted to study at Oxford and all of my A-Level students achieving A/A* grades.
I taught in a school in Bristol as part of my studies which included a lesson a week whereby I taught algebra to a group of students from Somalia with very limited English skills. I have also spent 3 weeks teaching and assisting in a local school in Guildford.
I have worked with students of all abilities and so am able to pitch my explanations at the appropriate level for the student, and have been praised for my ability to provide clear and concise explanations, and my friendly approach to teaching.

Tutoring Approach:

I prefer teaching Maths by explaining concepts at a fundamental level, following up with well-worked examples of the theory in action. This is because in my experience, to understand something properly you need to understand not only where it came from but how it's properly applied.
I normally draw up sheets with all the vital information about a topic for the student so that they have something they can refer to quickly to find what they need. In the past I have set a few problems for the student to do in between lessons and we would then look at them together the following week, and of course I am happy to go through problems together that the student is struggling with.

Personal Description:
I am currently studying Geophysics at Imperial College London, Royal School Of Mines. I am an active and friendly person, and truly wish to help students whilst studying the subjects that I use in my everyday life. I have 5 A Levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I am particularly qualified to teach the Core Mathematics modules at A level (C1, C2, C3, C4), as well as the Mechanics modules (M1, M2, M3).

Teaching Experience:

I have voluntarily tutored students in mathematics to ensure they pass their GCSE exams. However, on a day-to-day basis, I have consistently helped fellow classmates, giving explanations of the sciences and maths to help them understand the work at GCSE and A Level.

Tutoring Approach:

Students must have easy and reliable methods to ensure the best possible understanding of mathematics and sciences. Once specific examples of questions have been taught, it is important that the student tries the techniques his/herself with guidance. I am a firm believer of 'practice makes perfect', and so I prepare a range of questions that should challenge the student, whilst building their confidence in the subject. However, I understand that time is valuable and sometimes the student may just need help finishing their coursework, and so I will adjust my tutoring approach to suit the individual.

Personal Description:
I am a recent graduate from the university of Nottingham. I have always been passionate at learning and have consistently performed well academically. I'd like to be able to share this passion and enthusiasm for learning with young people and assist in the education of people who struggle with their studies, as I believe that everyone should have equal opportunities to make the most from their life. I have a high level of responsibility to others and thrive from the contributing to other people's happiness and being of service to them and so try to do a lot of rewarding voluntary work in my spare time. I also have continued studying as a hobby as I believe learning is a continuous and never ending process.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked occasionally in primary schools, assisting with activities or school trips. I also volunteered my time as a mentor for a young girl in a role with the nonprofit organisation Into University. This role involved organising and leading engaging activities in one to one sessions to boost my mentee's academic and social skills, which she felt greatly improved with my help.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring will be open and entirely subject to the tutee's individual needs since these are most important. Though I can most effectively tutor using the methods that have worked well for me, an example being, the creation of visual aids.
