Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic qualified teacher, who is passionate about making Psychology come to life. I would consider myself to be a conscientious and approachable person, who has a genuine desire to see all my tutees achieve their full potential.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching since 2006, initially working in Japan for the JET Programme. For the past five years I have been teaching GCSE, AS, and A2 level Psychology at a comprehensive school in Hertfordshire. I have experience teaching with the AQA and Edexcel specification. I frequently attend conferences on A level Psychology to keep up to date with the examiner expectations and specification updates.

Tutoring Approach:

As no individual is the same, on the first session we will go through the specification and decide which areas the tutee is comfortable, and less comfortable with. After which, I will engage the tutee in conversation with the material, encouraging them to apply that knowledge to a number of situations to consolidate their knowledge. I will also advise on good revision strategies, and good exam techniques for the tutee to maximise their grade. During sessions, I will provide activities such as worksheets, card sorts or past papers for the tutee to work through. Between sessions I will often give past papers or essays, which I will mark and offer advice.

Personal Description:
Hola, I am a University Educated Native Spanish Speaker residing permanently in the UK. I am a professional translator with years of experience in translating documents from English into Spanish and I have experience as a Spanish teacher as well.
I find it very rewarding and I enjoy helping others to learn a new language or improve their knowledge and skills they have already got.

Teaching Experience:

Before coming to England I worked as an English Teacher at a Secondary School in my native country for 1 year and taught the Spanish Language to English speaking adults who visited the country as tourists. Since I started tutoring in England I have been teaching the language to adults and children which have given me more practical experience and ideas for using new and different ways to teach according to their personal skills and aims. I have good rapport with my students and I encourage them to review at home what they have already learned in my lessons for them to be able to reach their goals quicker and move a step forward. I also use a good and useful activity book which helps the students to do practical exercises during the lessons and for homework if they wish.

Tutoring Approach:

I design my lessons specifically for you, working at your speed and focusing on what you prefer the most, speaking, pronunciation, reading, listening, writing, vocabulary, grammar, conversation or other. I will develop a learning plan to suit each person's needs, goals and abilities. I enjoy teaching people of all ages and levels, beginners or more advanced.

Personal Description:
I'm a recent graduate with both a BA and an MPhil in Philosophy from Cambridge University. I've taken A Levels in English, Mathematics, and History as well, and am very comfortable teaching all these subjects.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutoring experience at both A-Level and University level, in addition to experience with small group teaching at Cambridge University, where I taught first year undergraduates in classes of 10. At the other end of the spectrum, I have an 11 year old sister and am very used to helping her out with homework, and know the challenges involved in teaching young kids too.

Tutoring Approach:

I place a big focus on being friendly and approachable to students, to help make sure they feel relaxed, which I believe is very important for effective leaning. I like to make sure I understand where they are finding things challenging, and why, but also where they are succeeding, to build confidence by emphasising achievements as well as areas for improvement.

Personal Description:
Hi all (and apologies for awful hair in profile picture). I am currently a Oxford University reading mathematics (after studying at Dr Challoners, meaning that I am only available for tutoring outside of term times (although keep in mind Oxford vacations are very long! Feel free to contact me through the site and I can give you more specific information for when I am available). After trying to teach my family bits of maths for a while they have eventually tired of it so hopefully I might have more joy sharing my enthusiasm with a willing student!

Teaching Experience:

Aside from helping my younger sibling and kids I babysit with their homework, I also volunteered in a school run scheme where older students tutor struggling KS3 students once a week, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also have some experience tutoring other students through this site.

Tutoring Approach:

When studying maths, I have often found that a sound understanding of the basic underlying principles to be key, so this is what I would hope to instill in a any students. I would also focus on developing passion and enthusiasm for the subject as this is also incredibly useful, as it encourages students to spend more time to engage with material, in a more rigorous fashion.

I am very bubbly and happy, I am very enthusiastic towards learning and am looking forward to passing on my knowledge. I have a A* in Maths, and I am currently studying AS level Maths and Futher Maths.
