Personal Description:
I am a fully qualified experienced Spanish native teacher. I consider myself patient, honest, friendly, creative ,loving and responsible at work. I enjoy teaching Spanish and English language and at the same time my students enjoy learning the language.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching languages as a private tutor at home and at schools for 12 years so i have experience in the role.
Currently,i am living in UK and i work as a private language teacher-translator at home and at private homes.

Tutoring Approach:

My method is easy, direct, creative and fast. I focus on conversation and grammar-( how to create sentences to be able to speak and write faster and correctly -oral, listening, comprehension and repetition).

Every language is logic and as babies, the mechanism is to repeat sentences to understand them and memorize them . We can start speaking quick and without mistakes, once we understand the structure of the sentence: -verb tenses, how to create sentences, vocabulary, in writing and speaking , oral, listening and repetition-, in a funny way so the students ,enjoy learning the language and at the same time they learn it faster.

Try a free lesson and see how i work.

Personal Description:
I am a Japanese national who has completed three Japanese language beginners courses (10 weeks each) as a language instructor at colleges based in Liverpool and Manchester. In a formal course review exercise, I received excellent ratings from my college students with respect to the various teaching components of the course.

I am adept at recognising how best to target my teaching approach, particularly with respect to students who have little or no knowledge of the Japanese language using my fluency in verbal and written English and Japanese.

My teaching experience includes 18 months as a language instructor to college students in Japan, in one-to-one, and group teaching as an employee at a language school. In addition, I was employed in the Japan university sector as a translator of English to Japanese and vice versa, and as a business translator involving UK and Japanese companies. I therefore have language teaching experience acquired over several years in various settings.

My doctoral degree is sociology-based supporting the teacher-student interaction for making solid progress in learning.

Teaching Experience:

30 weeks in beginners Japanese at language colleges in Liverpool and Manchester
12 months providing English language instruction to college students in Japan
18 months English-Japanese language translator at a Japanese University
UK-Japanese business language interpreter and translator
Multiple students taught in private sessions from a wide background that includes the military, police, teachers, business professionals, university and college students, and other backgrounds.

Tutoring Approach:

I can provide personal tutoring and group tutoring as required in a large classroom specially set-up for teaching with an approachable and friendly style to engage students in fully comprehending an unfamiliar language. Tuition is provided in verbal and written Japanese using language props as an aid to understanding, with textbooks and specialist Hiragana teaching materials. I have excellent whiteboard writing skills and I am comfortable at teaching in both formal and less formal surroundings. Tuition can be arranged on a regular or irregular timetable according to the needs of the particular student(s).

Personal Description:
I am an outgoing, friendly and dedicated 21 year old fourth year medical student at Imperial College London, having completed my undergraduate Medical Sciences degree at St Catherine's College, Oxford University. I enjoy football, cricket and golf, and consider myself a sociable person; I think a good balance in life is important to education. I have previously found working with children very stimulating and know I would have a lot to offer as a tutor, helping children to enjoy and excel at their subject.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored school students throughout my time at university, teaching Chemistry, Maths and Biology especially. I also have other experience working with children. At school, I was a 'peermentor', meaning once a week I talked to children who may have been having problems at school, with work or otherwise. I also volunteered weekly at a local school's Arts and Crafts club. More recently, I have become involved with a volunteer-run charity that enables young children to enjoy outdoor activites, mainly teaching mountain skills to young leaders.

Tutoring Approach:

Though I never used a tutor myself at school, many of my friends did and they often said that they were enthused more by the relaxed and enjoyable environment than that found at school. I always found that learning from one's peers was very constructive, and feel I could offer students a lot of first-hand experience, having only relatively recently left school. Having studied both at Oxford University and Imperial College London I feel I can offer practical tips and advice about successfully navigating the university applications process. As enjoyment is so central to learning, I will go to great length to understand the needs and interests of individual students, so as to offer a refreshing approach to challenging subjects.

Personal Description:
My name is María. I´m a enthusiastic and motivated teacher willing to help you to learn everything you want to know about Spanish language and culture. I believe in a practice-based learning. I think every language is alive and we shouldn't learn it as a dead theory.

I'm a qualified teacher with a Spanish-teaching title recognized by University of Barcelona and International House World Organization. I also have a Masters in teaching secondary and languages education (PGCE) and a Bachelors in Fine Arts. I think Art and Language are very related, both of them play an important roll in the world's communication system and in the development of society. Art&Language are pure culture and a very important thing in the development of children too.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience teaching Spanish to different levels, ages and nationalities at intensive, extensive and private spanish courses and cultural activities.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that teaching Spanish is much more than teaching a bunch of grammar rules, it's teaching our art, gastronomy, our understanding of life… in short, our culture.

I use a communicative approach to the language, so grammar is always in context and at the service of real communication skills.

I focus on the objectives and needs of each student or small group. In the first lesson I will give you a level test and a content negotiation where you can tell me what grammar and cultural topics you are more interested in and how you prefer to learn them. You are the protagonist of your own education!

To teach in the best possible way I use a wide range of activities that I prepare to fit you.

Personal Description:
I am a university student currently studying at the university of St Andrews for a Honours program in Zoology. I am a native French speaker ( I actually am French) and was awarded the distinction of best French A-level results in East Africa in 2011, with a score of 499/500. I performed well both at IGCSE'S and A-levels ( IGCSE 6 A*'s and 4 A's, geography, Chemistry and Biology were among the A*'s, and are the subjects I took at A level, in which I achieved A* AA in the same order).
Last year, after a long and complicated admission process, I was offered a place to go study at Oxford University, but unfortunately had to decline it due to financial hardship.
I have lived in Kenya for now 7 years, and have a genuine interest in animal behaviour and conservation.

Teaching Experience:

I do not have much experience when it comes to teaching to be perfectly honest, although I often volunteered to be a student helper for those who had difficulties with certains subjects in my whole school. I am very familiar with the A-level syllabus by CIE, and the exam techniques required at this particular exam board.
I can offer advice and assistance with university application process too, as I was tutored to match Oxford requirements in terms of personal statements and interviews, I can also give you some tips about the Oxford interview processes.

Tutoring Approach:

I will first ask the person to tell me by email what their difficulties are, and what they would like us to go through together so that I can get together the information and any details necessary before meeting and discussing it. I am fairly flexible, everyone learns in a different manner and I will try my best to match my tutoring to the person's learning habits.

Personal Description:
I am a 19 year old undergraduate student studying Chemistry at the University of Sheffield. I have always had a passion for maths and science and would love to continue studying to a postgraduate level after completing my degree. I am sure that tutoring whilst being in the midst of studying advanced cutting edge science will be highly beneficial to any students that require help with concepts which I use daily in my work.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience in tutoring GCSE level maths, doing so for a year and a half. This consistently helped the student to achieve grades which would have otherwise been out of their reach. I also spent the last year of my A Levels helping in a class of AS Level students, and helped to run a science club aimed at gifted and talented key stage 3 students.

Tutoring Approach:

Before each session I would ask which topic the student would like to cover so that I can do some preparation to ensure that the student gains as much as possible from the hour. I believe that every student learns in a different way and finding out the best method of revision for the student is essential. I would engineer how the session would take place around how the student feels they learn best. A certain amount of time in each session would be committed to going through the fundamentals of the topic to ensure a fully rounded understanding, and to answering questions from past papers as I feel this is possibly the most important thing that can be done at a GCSE to A Level standard.

Personal Description:
I'm in my final year at The Judd School in Tonbridge, Kent. In October I will be attending the University of Oxford to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics. My subjects for A Level which I will be completing in June are Maths, Geography, Economics and Government and Politics, at which I am predicted to obtain 2 A*s and 2 As. I have also done an additional AS Level in English Language and Literature. I am a specialist in A Level Politics, Economics and Maths and as someone who has gone through the education system in Kent from doing the 11 Plus selection test to GCSEs and now A Levels I am familiar with up to date course requirements and the skills required to obtain the highest marks. I also offer the service of Oxbridge interview technique and entrance exam tutoring for the PPE course, having recently gone through the process.

Teaching Experience:

I have helped a group of around 5 students through their AS and A2 Level Economics at my school.
I have helped a group of 5 students also with the Core 1 and Core 2 components of their Maths AS Level at my school.
I run a weekly society at my school aimed at AS and A2 Politics and Economics students that looks to expand their knowledge beyond the syllabus and aims to infuse their studies with real life examples that they can apply in exams to maximise marks and aim for the A* grade.

Tutoring Approach:

I focus on using examples in Economics and Geography to understand theory, and developing the ability of students to apply their knowledge to real world examples in order to obtain the best marks. My teaching style is personable and relaxed: I believe the best environment to learn in is one which removes stress and focuses on improving problem areas in tutoring. I know that different people learn in different ways and I tailor my teaching style to ensure that the student gets the most out of tuition, hopefully learning to enjoy the subject and to remove worries about exam preparation.

Teaching Experience:

2011-2013 University Bible Fellowship Website Committee Member: Correction of English for posting to international church website. Translation of Bible study material into English. Offered a weekly English as a foreign language class entitled American Accent Training.

Tutoring Approach:

Relationship is the most important part of tutoring. As a native English speaker I am mentoring a person to feel comfortable functioning in my language. Sensitivity to the culture of the student is important for the sake of effective communication and enabling the student the comfortable zone to stretch their bounds. Once I understand the student's weaknesses, I have prepared lessons to further train the student.
