Personal Description:
Hi,
I enjoy teaching and researching. Currently, I am working as a researcher at the university.
My area of expertise includes, Biology, Maths, Chemistry and Pharmacology.
In my quest of higher education currently I am working as a research Scientist in molecular pharmacology, and cell biology. My project is associated with Lister Hospital, Stevenage, UK.

Visiting Lecturer at the university level From last 3 years. Teaching students at the university level theoretically as well as wet lab experiments. I had 6 Nuffield bursary students to teach in the university in last 2 years. All of them are very competent and few of them went to imperial collage, cambridge, oxford and kings for the graduation.

Tutoring Approach:

If a student is not have an interest and intellectual in to the subject, I take it as a challenge. I prefer to correlate the tedious concept of science with the normal day to day life and give a flavor of importance or demand of a particular subject.

Personal Description:
I am an extremely enthusiastic and determined individual, with a deep interest in mathematics and the allied sciences. To this end, I have participated in many Olympiads and have attended several maths and physics masterclasses in London, as well as two summer schools.

I'd enjoy the opportunity of tutoring at GCSE and A-level as I am not only confident at these stages, but enjoy breaking down concepts into their simplest forms, a skill I initially found challenging when I first started tutoring.

I am currently studying maths at Christ`s College, Cambridge. I therefore have a solid grounding in both maths and physics, which is constantly being refreshed and challenged!

Teaching Experience:

Tutored both A-level and GCSE maths over a period of 6 months last year.

Tutored my cousins in GCSE physics and chemistry 2 years ago.

Ran economics 'help sessions' for my school's economics society

Tutoring Approach:

Tutoring must be adapted for different styles and levels. I have tutored a range of students previously, and understand that different people learn at different rates, and in very different ways. I would look firstly to cement the basic concepts so that students have a firm grasp of each topic area. I then try to challenge the students as much as possible, to allow the tutee to gain confidence whilst constantly recapping on the basics.

Maths and science subjects must be tackled with significant practice - multiple questions on similar topics allows students to consolidate their learning and see the links between topics.

Personal Description:
Everyone calls me Olu, I am young, friendly but strict (I don't know where that came from). I am a doctorate degree student of Nuclear Robotics. I bagged a distinction in my Masters degree and a first class in my Bachelor's program all thanks to those I have taught during revision. You know I have noticed that you study harder when you study to teach others.

So yes, in the area of academics, I have come a long way, learning and teaching, the cycle never ends. I enjoy meeting new people and sharing knowledge, this is one thing I do with passion..<< don't tell anyone >>.

I do not only consider teaching as a Job, but also as a hobby as it is fun making people understand what they had thought was confusing.

Teaching Experience:

My Teaching Experience dates back to my days as an A'Level student preparing for the GCE Cambridge A'Levels Exam in 2005. I made sure I carried all my colleagues along by conducting regular free tutorials.

When I got into the University, I continued. Every other evenings and every weekend, I would take part in tutorial sessions for my colleagues and sometimes for junior colleagues. This I did from 2006 to 2011.

In 2012, I registered as an Online-Tutor and have engaged a number of students in America and UK on mathematics and engineering related subjects. Not to mention that I have been involved in peer revision meetings all through my post graduate days at the University of Manchester where I took charge of conducting Mock Examinations.

To me, this has been fun.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is very very simple:

Step 1: Ask you what area you have problems with.
Step 2: Tell you to go on and teach me the aspects you know and even the aspects you do not know.
Step 3: I will take note of your strengths and weaknesses.
Step 4: Leave the rest to me, the tutorials would be worth the time and pay.

PS: Many times, from experience, students think they have problems with a topic, but all they have is just "no confidence about what they know". That is where we come in, to restore your confidence in the things you know and add to it. Hence, my best approach is to keep the interaction "both-ways".

Personal Description:
Hello! My name is Giacomo, I come from Italy and I am a third year PhD student in Roman Archaeology at the University of Leicester.I have a strong experience in tutoring and teaching at high school and university level and I'm happy to help with Latin, Ancient Greek and Italian.

Teaching Experience:

During the last two years I have been teaching different courses at the University of Leicester, acquiring a strong experience in dealing with students. In particular during this and last year I have been teaching Latin and Ancient Greek to first year students. In the last two months I also have been teaching Latin to the children of the Overdale Infant and Jr. School, as part of the Outreach Program of the School of Archaeology and Ancient History. Furthermore, since last year I have been working as one to one study mentor in The AccessAbility Centre of the University where I support students with learning disabilities. Finally, when I was still in Italy I have been giving private lessons of Latin, Ancient Greek and Italian literature to high school and university students for three years.

Tutoring Approach:

I will have a different approach according to the language I will be teaching. For Italian, I will use a communicative approach. This means that I will deliver just a minimum of grammar and I will use the target language as much as possible so that the student will learn the grammar implicitly. On the other side, since Latin and Ancient Greek are extinct languages I will use a more traditional approach. Nevertheless, also in this case I will try to alternate grammar with literature in order to help the student to get a broader perception of the ancient world.

Personal Description:
My name is Marese, I'm a CELTA qualified English Language Teacher and I live in Glasgow, Scotland. I'm a friendly and outgoing person who loves meeting people from different cultures and from around the world. I love music, photography, architecture, art, cinema, hiking and cycling. I've worked in Germany, England, Ireland and more recently studied and taught English in Korea and Thailand. I am interested in technology and social media and like to keep these skills up to date, especially my online teaching skills. All of my lessons are tailor made to each individuals needs and learning goals, and are really enjoyable too as I like to build a good relationship with my students.

Teaching Experience:

I am a CELTA qualified English language teacher and have worked as a teacher of English in public schools in South Korea for two years. I've also taught English to adults in Germany and to students online (all levels). In addition, I hold a TEFL Certificate in 'Teaching English Online' (2013).

I've previously worked as a tutor with Spanish people on work placements in Scotland. I've organised successful Glasgow based English Language 'Meet Up' Groups. When studying in Thailand, I tutored adults as part of my CELTA teacher training and when I was at Napier University, Scotland, I tutored part time supporting lecturers to teach computer technology and animation.

Tutoring Approach:

I'm enthusiastic and passionate in my approach to teaching, which is reflected in my relationships with students and colleagues, and in the positive feedback I've received from both. I encourage student centred learning and coach and facilitate students to reach their language goals with lessons that are interesting and well planned.

I have a variety of experience working in national and international public and private sector organisations, and this experience would especially benefit teaching teenagers and adults, especially people who are interested in business English, academic English or in professional development. However, I'm delighted to teach students of all levels, backgrounds and age, as I can relate and engage well in online teaching sessions.

During my professional and academic life, I have always followed a rather simple rule: We all have different needs, abilities and aspirations, but they are not necessarily the same shape, size and colour. This way of looking at the world is crucial and is the approach I take when teaching English - students have different language needs and my aim is to meet those needs in a fun and engaging way.

Personal Description:
I started tutoring by accident and fell in love with the profession. I began teaching a few A Level chemistry students and I now have several students of all ages and of all backgrounds.

I have a strong passion for Chemistry; all of the Sciences in fact. There's not really a word to describe the way I feel about Chemistry but I get a sense of accomplishment when I get a good grasp of a new concept or get a set of similar results in an experiment.

I realised, after searching for potential careers, that no job was going to nurture my joy of relaying my knowledge and love for the subject. That was until I began tutoring a good friend of mine.

Since then, I knew what I wanted to do.

I provide individualised 1:1 tuition services that charges substantially less than others, and I also offer discounts when lessons are paid for in bulk.

Every child is different and has a different way of learning. I ensure that every student has a learning plan that is unique to their personality, and approach to their studies.

I believe that everyone should be able to afford a tutor without paying unreasonable prices.

I could go on forever about myself, but I probably shouldn't.

So, please get in touch and let me see what I can do for you.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring small classes and individuals for almost a year.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to begin by establishing what type of learner my student is. Everyone learns in different ways and benefit from different teaching styles, which is why I am flexible in the way I teach each and every student.

Some students enjoy building molecules to easily visualise the types of bonds and atoms present, while others enjoy taking notes from a documentary.

Whatever your child's way of learning, I have an approach for them,

I constantly check my students' progress in the forms of mini-tests, quick-fire questions and past-paper questions. In addition to this, homework is assigned after every session, to further ensure that concepts in class have been understood.

I also provide weekly and monthly feedback on how your child is progressing and ways they could improve their performance.
