Personal Description:
I am a teacher of exceptional qualifications and experience, acquired in both Bulgaria and the UK. My 5-year MA degree (English Philology, comprising of English and American Studies, Applied Linguistics and Theory and Practice of Translation, Grade 2:1) has provided me with a thorough and solid theoretical basis in all aspects of English. It includes a teaching qualification up to Level 7/8, validated as a full UK QTS by the GTC for England. I have also completed a second degree (with 1st class Hon.) and obtained a Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults.

I am qualified and experienced to teach pupils from primary school to university (post-graduate) level as following:

- 11+ EXTRANCE EXAM FOR GRAMMAR AND INDEPENDENT SCHOOL EXAM PREPARATION - READING COMPREHENSION, MATHEMATICS, VERBAL REASONING AND NON-VERBAL REASONING, ESSAY COMPOSITION AND LITERARY TEXT ANALYSIS - FROM AGE 7+
- primary school: English, Maths, basic literacy and numeracy skills - KS1 and 2 Maths and English
- secondary school: English Language, English Literature, GCSE English Language and Literature, KS3 and 4
- A-level English Language and Literature - KS 5
- ESOL - all levels
- Citizenship - Life in the UK test
- IELTS - all levels
- English for Academic Purposes and proofreading FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS (academic writing skills, essays, reports, dissertations, projects) - undergraduates and post-graduates
- proofreading of academic assignments (essays, reports, dissertations, projects) - foundation, undergraduates and post-graduates
- help with writing academic assignments (essays, reports, dissertations, projects) - foundation, undergraduates and post-graduates
- Bulgarian language - all levels
- Russian language - basic level

Teaching Experience:

I have been employed as a PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHER (ENGLISH), 11+ GRAMMAR SCHOOL EXAMS TUTOR AND ASSESSOR, MATHS TUTOR (PRIMARY SCHOOL, KS 1 AND 2), EAP, Business, IELTS, ESOL and English Language and Literature teacher and have worked at universities, colleges and schools across two countries. My experience teaching at four universities, and supporting children in schools and adults has helped me become an exceptionally versatile teacher.

I HAVE A VERY FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING APPROACH, SHOWING UNDERSTANDING TO EACH STUDENT'S INDIVIDUAL NEEDS AND PREFERENCES AND TRY TO PERSONALISE LEARNING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. STUDENTS WARM TO ME QUICKLY AND ESTABLISH A GOOD RAPPORT FOR EFFECTIVE COOPERATION.

I have a proven record of tutoring students for a successful performance at the 11+ ENTRANCE EXAMINATION AND SUCCESSFUL ADMISSION AT GRAMMAR OR INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS.

All my primary school tutees have achieved their individual targets (whether improving basic literacy skills, or advancing in their level of reading or writing). The same success has been achieved in Mathematics.

My GCSE and A-level English pupils achieved 100% A-grades in their exams (both English Language and Literature).

I have tutored successfully for the Citizenship/Life in the UK test. I have the latest information of the test changes (from 2014). All my tutees have passed the Life in the UK test.

With university students I have expertise teaching the following academic skills:

structuring academic essays, implementing skills of cohesion and coherence and using the appropriate subject-related style
paraphrasing and summarising texts and applying correct grammar and suitable register in writing
using quotations and in-text citations and referencing them accordingly
delivering a presentation on a subject-specific topic, using Microsoft Powerpoint for effect
demonstrating understanding of key concepts and inferring the meaning of unfamiliar words from the context
developing speaking and seminar skills, useful for active participation in discussions and debates in the classroom and outside
interpreting numerical, statistical and financial data orally and in writing
demonstrating a clear understanding of what constitutes plagiarism and how to use the Harvard Referencing system for citation and the production of Reference Lists

At the academic skills pre-sessional courses at the University of Birmingham in 2012-2016 I gained even deeper experience supporting individual students with writing within very constrained time-limits. I guided all to success at their final assessments. I have had very positive feedback and comments of appreciation.

I have taught in various set-ups - whole class, pair work, group work, or one-to-one sessions. I am deeply interested in each student's individual learning needs and progress and one of my major strengths is differentiation. I sometimes prepare material at 4 levels of differentiation for a single class or small group. I use supportive strategies to boost students' confidence, at the same time challenging learners to achieve beyond their own expectations. I approach intense 1-to-1 sessions with the appropriate dynamics.

I am prepared to go beyond my 'job description' duties to help students with 'special needs'. I am interested in their individual circumstances and take them into account, where appropriate. I prepare resources to address their personal needs and interests. I review their progress and involve them in self-assessment towards autonomy of learning. I am familiar with the 'Assessment for Learning' policy and competent with implementing it widely.

I have worked successfully with students with dyslexia. At secondary school, one of my 'high-ability' dyslexic students scored an 'A' grade at her English GCSE, while another participated in a poetry competition. I have had success teaching students with autism and Asperger's as well.

I invest all of myself in my teaching. I am a highly trusted professional and have an exceptional rapport with my students. I am often quoted as a preferred tutor, who 'has the best way of explaining things' and 'is very patient, friendly and cheerful'. All students of mine - regardless whether at school, college or university - progressed by at least one level (even at short-term courses). A student with a debilitating illness on the BME, predicted to fail the course, not only passed it under my guidance, but achieved grades higher than his required level. In my 15-year teaching career I have never failed a student. I have achieved outstanding results at OFSTED observations. My latest annual lesson observation at BMETC was graded 'OUTSTANDING' and so was my performance at NAVITAS earlier this year. Another observation at BCU was unofficially deemed as 'the best on the course'. I have been invited to share exceptional ideas at training events and have also participated in numerous training activities at schools, colleges and universities. I often opt to peer-observe colleagues, to learn from their teaching styles.

Some more examples from my practice: a class of illiterate Yemeni housewives at BMETC, 2011, achieved a 100% pass at their ESOL exams, while 'advanced' international students at the BME, 2012 achieved some of the highest grades on the course. I have been successful dealing with pupils with behavioural problems at Harborne Hill School. Many reported an increasingly positive attitude to learning. I am a creative teacher and try to interest and enthuse students, so that they enjoy learning and celebrate their achievements.

Tutoring Approach:

First I negotiate the times and modes of tutoring with the parents of my potential pupil and agree on fees.
Then I organise a free initial meeting with the pupil and their parents, where I try to establish raport with the pupil. It is important, especially for children, to 'get a feel' of the new tutor and see if they can feel comfortable with her.
Then I try to access as much information as possible from the parents and the child about their progress at school and their attitude to school. If possible, I wish to see samples of the child's school work, or hear anything teachers have said/written about their progress.
During the first lesson I conduct an informal assessment of the pupil's skills - give them a piece of text to read, or free writing or short composition, or a selection of Maths problems to solve. When I get a clear picture of where my pupil stands with a certain skill, I create a short-term plan of work with them. I normally bring materials with me and do not ask parents to buy additional materials. If the parent wishes me to follow a certain self- help book, I am happy to oblige.
I update parents regularly of their child's progress - I try to do it after every lesson. I normally leave homework, designed to consolidate the material covered in the lesson, or develop their skills further. I wish parents to be involved as much as possible with helping or monitoring the completion of the homework.
I try to show my pupils as much respect as possible and affirm them as individuals. I acknowledge their birthdays, Christmas, or other family celebrations.
The parents can terminate the service at any time, with only one week notice.
I OFFER LESSONS VIA SKYPE AS WELL.

Personal Description:
A highly experienced teacher with relevant qualifications. I hold a masters in business studies and also a bachelors degree in civil engineering. I have an enhanced CRB disclosure.

GCE June 2012 update - Business studies student's confirm A level results. Fantastic! Student references available.

Maths Update!! Year 8 & 10 students moved up to higher set maths at school
March Update!! Private tutoring Business studies students achieved A grade in Unit 2 and Unit 3!!

Teaching Experience:

I teach business studies (GCSE, AS/A2) at an independent school in Cambridge. I also do private tutoring in business studies and maths (KS3, GCSE). I have huge resources and materials available from my teaching experience and I know how to prepare candidates for exams.
My maths students are always being moved up a set to a higher level.

Tutoring Approach:

I ensure the students understand the topics and check this by using lots of question and answer materials. We go through exam techniques and how to answer questions i.e. what the examiner is looking for. I provide case studies which we discuss and pull out the relevant information required to answer the question. I get the students to do lots of practice in application, analysing and evaluating case studies.

For maths I work on moving the student up a level. I first assess what level the students are at (level 5, 6, 7, 8). If they are at level 5 we work on moving them to Level 6 and above. I always work on moving them up another level

Personal Description:
I'm a native, qualified - South American - Spanish tutor. I've worked and lived in the UK and South America for several years and I have studied up to degree level in the UK. I'm completely bilingual, this allows me to explain language issues to my pupils from both the English and Spanish angles.

Teaching Experience:

I'm a qualified Adult Education Tutor.
I passed my City and Guilds course for the Teaching diploma in adult education in 1999 and have been teaching in the corporate sector, in the public sector and to private pupils since then.
Clients have included Volkswagen, Gmac, O2, Transence and Inspire Change. In the government sector I have taught for MK Council, Surrey County Council, The Foreign Office, and the Police.

Tutoring Approach:

I concentrate on speaking and listening with some reading in class. Writing tasks are set for homework. I always find out what it is that the pupil wants to concentrate on: it could be just listening with comprehension tasks or just grammar with gap fills. That way the courses may meet individual needs. I usually agree a course plan at the start so that the pupil knows what's coming next for each lesson and we can change it if necessary as we go along. I explain what we're going to do, we do some role plays, some listening tasks. We use material from Pasos A First Course in Spanish. For the listening there is box ticking or answers to comprehension questions. At the end of a 20 hour course the learner should be able to get by in a Spanish speaking country, as a visitor, in the topics covered.
I charge the basic rate per hour below plus a 1 surcharge per mile travelled.

Personal Description:
I am a twenty-seven year-old graduate, currently studying for a PhD in History at Queen Mary University of London.

I am young, enthusiastic, and have excellent communication skills. I have lived in London for two years, and in my spare time I enjoy football, playing the guitar and reading about history.

Teaching Experience:

Throughout my academic career I have engaged in mentoring and tutoring schemes. During my A levels I tutored a number of pupils through their History GCSEs, and at university I was a volunteer mentor for first year students, helping them to structure their studies and get through exams during a particularly challenging time.

As part of my PhD programme, I teach three seminars with first-year undergraduates on a weekly basis on a course about the Anglo-American "special relationship" in the twentieth century.

I have worked as a private tutor for six years. I have lots of experience in tutoring students at GCSE and A Level, and have worked with students with a range of capabilities.

My long-term goal is a career as a lecturer or teacher. I have enjoyed the process immensely whenever I have engaged with students, and want to broaden my experience as much as possible.

Tutoring Approach:

I feel that my young age, and the fact I took my A levels and GCSEs relatively recently, gives me a strong advantage in tutoring. All the difficulties and emotions students encounter when taking these exams are fresh in my memory, and I am confident that with encouragement, patience and a friendly understanding, I can make a huge difference to students' prospects. My strong academic record is testament to my ability to approach exams efficiently and with enthusiasm, and my experience in tutoring has developed my skills in approaching a range of student issues, from last-minute revision to long-term guidance.

Personal Description:
I am a 25 year old PhD student in Spanish Literature at the University of Cambridge. I have a first class-degree in Spanish and German language and literature as well as an MPhil in Spanish literature which I completed in 2014. I have a range of experience that would make me ideal for teaching young people and adults from beginner up to A-Level standard.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored Spanish to school pupils with learning difficulties at both beginner and GCSE level and helped them to significantly improve their performances.

I was also a group leader at the Villiers Park Educational Trust in Cambridgeshire, aimed at language applicants from less advantaged backgrounds. Throughout the week-long programme I was responsible for delivering a series of seminars as well as one-to-one tuition on subjects as varied as Spanish vocabulary and grammar, to cinema, literature and history. The programme was such a success that I have been invited back as a tutor this year.

Tutoring Approach:

I am available to give online tutoring to young people and adults in Spanish and German from beginner to A-Level standard. I can work you through the basics of the language or the more complex material for advanced students. I'm happy to teach any aspect of the language or culture you need. I am also available to teach in Cambridge city centre, where possible.

Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic tutor simply because I love to share my knowledge with other people. I enjoy making comparison between subjects and connect the most various topic.

I am not only good at Math, Physics and Chemistry, but my best skill is the planning of the time and the manner of studying. That is something that no one teach at school and in my opinion is the real power every students need.

I don't have any problem to give one free trial lesson, because I am sure you will never regret. Also I can provide any certificate I achieved.

Teaching Experience:

I have being tutoring during the whole high school (scientific Diploma at Liceo Scientifico Enrico Fermi, Bologna) and Bachelor's degree (Energy Engineering, at Alma Mater Studiorum, Bologna).
My students were not only younger than me, but mostly they were my classmate.

Tutoring Approach:

It depends on the student actually. However I can sum it up, saying:

- careful planning to achieve the goals
- working day by day, every day
- focusing on the weakness to change into strong points

Personal Description:
Hi,
I am doing my Ph.D. in computer Science, which involve analysis of cyber attacks originating from social media. I also have bachelor's and masters degree in computer science. I have taught programming languages like C++ , C and python during my bachelor and masters program. In addition to that i have taught cryptography, cyber security and security techniques. I also have 8 years experience working as a currency trader with a financial institution.

Teaching Experience:

I have 2 years teaching experience teaching python programming languages to Adults, undergrads and master students. I have also taught data mining techniques using Microsoft excel , and tool such as Weka . Also i have taught introduction to Microsoft office

Tutoring Approach:

One to One - focussing on parts of the curriculum where the student is having difficulty in understanding
Create a deep understanding and confidence in answering exam questions and being able to tackle new and unfamiliar problems. The student is encouraged to think and make new connections for themselves. One-to-one personal tuition has a unique value to students because of the ability to resolve the students' personal barriers to learning in a way that lays the foundations for a deep and lasting understanding of the subject.

Depending on the student's needs and learning style I encourage students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. I start from topics the students are comfortable with and move gradually towards more complex areas as their confidence builds. I use questions and examples to check understanding continually. I don't lecture to students or ask them to memorise things. Nor do I do the students' homework for them!

With programming language my approach is first to make the student using various simple approaches like an algorithm or with a flow chart to solve it then once the confidence if built up to go to the syntax of the programming language. This approach not only will help you master any programming language quickly but improve ones analytical skills as well.

Personal Description:
Hi, my name is Bridie and I would love to be your tutor. I am outgoing, approachable, friendly, flexible, and punctual and have a good sense of humour. I can offer fun and enthusiastic sessions that are tailored to suit your learning needs. I have a first class honours masters degree in chemistry and I am very passionate about science. I can help you to feel comfortable with difficult topics and build up your confidence to answer those longer questions you would often panic about. I want to remove this panic from you onto me and help you with your study skills and most importantly, improve your grade. So please pick me and we can work together for you to achieve your goals.

Teaching Experience:

I am an outstanding practitioner and I have been teaching for 4 years. During this time I have taught A-level chemistry, GCSE science and BTEC applied science level 3. I have taught in secondary schools and colleges where I have run extra sessions during breaks, afterschool and during the holidays. This involves group sessions to tackle difficult topic concepts and 1-to-1 appointments to develop exam technique, giving a clearer picture of individual needs. This has really helped to achieve results. Alongside teaching, I have been a science technician which has enabled me to possess a wider knowledge of the practical activities. A strong practical knowledge is crucial for the new A-level specifications.

Tutoring Approach:

As your tutor I will ensure:
A calm and supportive environment in which to learn.
You will feel comfortable with learning
I am approachable so no need to feel nervous.
You are not confronted but instead helped to understand the topic.
High level of respect.
Strong subject knowledge.
I give constructive feedback.
Assess the starting point of your learning using a red, amber, green system of a topic checklist.
A cooperative approach to learning-we will work together to solve a problem.
Marking of questions answered with a grade so that you have instant feedback, which is then compared to your target grade.
I give praise and non-forceful encouragement to build your confidence.
It is ok to make mistakes, you only learn from them and feel comfortable to question a topic idea.
You will develop to be in control of your own learning.

I have access to many resources such as full notes, revision notes, revision checklists, video tutorials, good website links, topic-based questions, exam papers with mark schemes and examiners reports, stretch and challenge questions, quizzes and multiple-choice questions. All resources will be suited to your individual needs.

Thank you for reading my information and I hope you will consider me to be your tutor.

Personal Description:
Hello!
I am from Burgundy in France, I spent five years in an International boarding school (France) and came to London right after my Baccalaureat, I have been here for eight years.
I have a vast knowledge regarding art practice as I have been working in a studio for years as an artist. However, I have chosen to write rather than practice. I have specialised in Contemporary Art Theory because it is for me primordial to consider art within its context. I have studied sociology, philosophy and geopolitics during my Master.
I am highly curious and passionate about Art. My favourite periods are the Renaissance and the 20th century to nowadays. I tend not to be Eurocentric.
My last role was Gallery Manager for an art collector who was hosting private salons and exhibitions. Likewise, I have worked in many galleries in London and Paris.
I aim to work in the education or programming departments of art and cultural institution. I am currently working as a consultant for community centres (from 5 years old to adults) and collaborate with a collective.

Teaching Experience:

I have been working in the education department of galleries (Paris and London), and I have been assisting other artists or curating and sometimes facilitating my own participatory projects. In some ways, those projects and workshops are a different type of art classes. I usually work with a maximum of five children and ten adults. I am looking forward to focusing on one single person.

Tutoring Approach:

I would like to meet you a first time (for which the fee would be reduced to 15 because this would not be a teaching session) we would discuss your needs and how I can adapt to them. I am happy to support you in your research or practice, introduce you to art, help you deepen your knowledge or assist you with school projects and exams.
I would create a structure that empowers you, I would not impose anything unless agreed with the parents, and if this the case we will try different approaches until we get an encouraging response.
If preferred, we can skip the first introductory class and jump right into it.
