| Personal Description: I am a perfectionist by nature. I achieved straight A*s at GCSE (including top five marks in the country for English Literature and 100% in my Mathematics' final exam). I constantly strive to obtain the best possible grades from students and, more importantly, help them to believe in themselves. I have also had experience within a school on several accounts, one of which is in an S.E.N. department which looks after students with special educational needs. I am a very gentle mannered person and experienced helping those with learning difficulties as well as those who are more academically able. |
Teaching Experience: -Private Tuition (2007-present) I have privately tutored around twenty or so children from the age of sixteen. This has been in a variety of subjects predominantly including Maths, English and Art. I have always seen amazing results with all of my pupils, despite weather they have learning difficulty or are particularly gifted. I am also up to date with technology and have had experience teaching via an online medium. This involves vocal communication with the student via skype or a phone land line, and visual communication via msn messenger. There I use a tablet (similar to a drawing pad) which is connected to messenger to draw out maths equations etc. - Trinity Catholic High School Woodford Green (2007) Working in the S.E.N. department assisting in administration as well as working with the children, Individual pupil support worker for children on S.E.N., classroom assistant, mainly In Mathematics (year groups 7-9-/Key stage 3), but also in any other subject of Key Stage 3. - Trinity Catholic High School Woodford Green (2009) Experience working as an Art teacher, assisting and managing classes up to A's level |
Tutoring Approach: My approach is that, every child should be given an equal opportunity to shine no matter what their background or circumstance. I believe that having a learning difficulty or any kind of impairment does not need to hinder them. I believe I have a unique method of teaching which can help improve any child's chance of success. |

| Personal Description: I am a 24 year-old chemistry student currently in my 2nd year of PhD in organic chemistry at UCL. I completed a masters degree in chemistry (also at UCL). I am a motivated person when it comes to learning and enjoy teaching other pupils in hope that they will gain the same motivation from understanding topics covered. |
Teaching Experience: I have experience in teaching activities which take place at my university, such as school open days and laboratory demonstrating. I also have taught physics at GCSE level and chemistry at A-level. |
Tutoring Approach: I believe that students should enjoy a lesson and leave feeling that they have progressed and learnt something. I aim to apply the material taught to exam questions to give students the confidence needed to answer an exam question correctly. I believe that I am an approachable person and that students should keep asking questions until they understand. |

| Personal Description: I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2007 and currently continuing my degree in Medicine at University College London. I speak 6 languages, have traveled extensively and am a published photograper. |
Teaching Experience: I have been tutoring in Math and Science for over 3 years. I have tutored dozens of students of various abilities and ages during that period and received overwhelmingly positive feedback . My students have gone on to do very well. I have also been advising students and supporting them through the UCAS application process with University Access Schemes. As part of this process I have spoken at and organised conferences around the country to support students applying to university. |
Tutoring Approach: Most students can benefit from a change in approach to the way they study rather than increase the amount of time studying. I aim to maintain the level of the supervision to ensure that the student is always pushed but not overwhelmed. I would encourage sessions to be a two way conversation in which we explore the topic in depth to achieve a clear understanding rather than just concentrate on past questions. I find this keeps the my students interested and ultimately leads to better results. After the first session, students often find subjects they might have found boring and difficult become a little more interesting and easier to tackle. |

| Personal Description: I have travelled and lived in different countries and I am lucky to have friends from all over the world. I love learning new languages and teaching other people what I know. I have studied English, Philosophy and Film and have taken a variety of jobs including teacher, bar tender, ambulance driver and cabin crew! I am currently studying French, German and Spanish and have made Bristol my home. |
Teaching Experience: I have taught English of all levels privately and in schools for over 12 years. I have a lot of experience teaching English to people who come from different backgrounds. Usually, most of my students plan to move to the UK in order to study or work and a lot of the times they have to take an exam (such as the IELTS, the TOEFL or Cambridge Certificate). I can also help people brush up on their old knowledge or teach them what they need to know to use English in a business environment. I have recently started teaching Greek (which is my native language), applying afresh all I have learnt about language teaching all these years I have been teaching English. |
Tutoring Approach: I approach each person in a different way and I always make sure they don't feel embarrassed even when asking the most silly question. I am flexible with my style and time and I always adjust lessons to meet the person's needs and moods. I have a lot of experience in identifying students' weak points and helping them turn them into strong ones, building their confidence. I tend to use real material like newspaper clippings or poems or material from their work and generally avoid coursebooks, but I am flexible. I have a deep understanding of the learning process, both from the teacher's and the learner's point of view and I truly enjoy teaching! |

| Personal Description: I am a graduate, just finishing my BA (Hons) in Applied Education Studies in University of Bedfordshire. During the 3 years of university and a year previous of being at university I have worked at a special needs school where my assignments where observation based and with me being observed by qualified teachers. I have a CRB which is in date and will be shown to students on first meet. My certificate in education is not able to be shown yet, but after graduation then this will be shown to. A reference upon request is available from the class teacher in my current setting by e-mail. I work part time so a variety of sessions are available to suit you. |
Teaching Experience: I have worked for 4 years in a special needs school, for children with moderate learning difficulties. The needs of the child ranges from down syndrome, ADHD, autism and speech & language difficulties. The school ranges from years 3-11, and the majority of my experience has been with years 3-7. |
Tutoring Approach: My approach to tutoring is based upon the information given to me before the session from the parent/guardian so that it is personalised to suit the need of the child. I will use differentiation for each and every child by using a variety of resources, including use of educational activities on the internet. Plans may be sent via e-mail to the parent before the tuition, or even sent if you are enquiring. Reports will also be sent via e-mail within 3/4 days after the session, including information on the strengths and areas of improvement of the students, as well as a recommended reading list which will suit the age and ability of the child. If travel to a student's home is needed I do add on an extra 4 to the listed price to cover petrol costs. |
