Personal Description:
I am a qualified teacher who enjoys teaching languages and trying to make the process of learning as enjoyable as possible for my students. I offer French (all levels and preparation of A-levels, IB, GCSEs ), Spanish (beginner and intermediate level, up to GCSE), Romanian and English as a foreign language( for Romanian students, for example).

Teaching Experience:

I am qualified to teach both in England and Romania and I have been teaching children from nursery, primary school, secondary school, as well as adults. I am familiar with the National Curriculum and I have experience in preparing students for their GCSEs, A levels and IB examinations.

Tutoring Approach:

I try to structure my tutoring sessions in a tailored programme according to the individual needs. During the sessions I try to choose the best strategies that I find suitable for the age and ability of my students. My approach is always determined by a thorough assessment of my student's needs and then by agreeing upon several realistic targets to be achieved.
I hope that my sessions provide extra confidence and motivation in studying the subjects, the kind of positive learning experience that the student needs to improve their confidence and natural ability.

Personal Description:
My name is Haidee, I'm a 19 year old from Liverpool studying French at The University of Liverpool. (I often go to Kirkby and Fazackerly to work and see family so would often be available to tutor in that area too). I have thoroughly enjoyed learning French for 8 years and would love to pass on my knowledge so that you can enjoy learning French too! This is my first time tutoring but I have a genuine love and flair for languages and have enjoyed teaching friends in my own time, so please don't let this put you off as I would love to help!

In school I sat my GCSE early at the age of 14 (year 9), passing with a B. I then continued to study French for the final two years of school and passed again with an A*. I also started studying Spanish in the last two years and passed with an A. During college I studied French to A2 level, passing with a B. In my time in college I spent a week each year in Montpellier living with a French family and attending a French language school, which I really enjoyed and feel helped me with my learning.

In my free time I love to cook (although I'm not very good at it!), go out for meals (when my cooking goes wrong!), read and watch films. I also love to practise Tae Kwon Do, which I started at the age of 15, although I don't do this since I moved away to university.

Teaching Experience:

This is my first time trying tutoring, but I often helped my sister with her French to GCSE level. I also helped a friend of mine who struggled in school to pass her English and Maths GCSE by using imaginative teaching and memory techniques, to which she was very grateful. Due to having friends that also study languages I am used to being able to help others in areas in which they struggle. I have worked with children and young adults from age 2-18 part-time for the past 3 years and so would be comfortable teaching from all ages.

Tutoring Approach:

Throughout my learning experience I have found that it is best to learn the basic rules and grammar of a language from the start, as this has made it easier to build on this. I have lots of quirky ways of remembering things myself and would urge you to figure out how best you learn in order to develop your own style. I also enjoy to watch films/news, listen to music and read genuine French articles to enhance my own learning and would be using these to make your learning more interesting. As not every individual is the same I will adapt my teaching to suit your style and meet your individual needs and if there's something different you want to do please let me know so I can change!

Personal Description:
I have graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Master in Education and PGCE Secondary Mathematics, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics at Loughborough University. During the past six years, I have had the privilege to be involved in the senior leadership team within school context for the past two years, as well as being the Head of Mathematics Department for three years. I was an active member of University's badminton club where I played for the inner college leagues within the University of Cambridge and Loughborough University. I am a non-competitive table tennis player and I also enjoy playing tennis and camping. Travelling is one of my many passions, and I believe that the travelling experiences can broaden my views towards the world. I am keen to learn more about the cultural differences between countries, absorbed the positive energy and bring it back to my work environment. On the more quiet side, I like painting and drawing. Painting is my way of stress management and I am particularly interested in landscapes drawing. I am also a native Mandarin speaker.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught in a range of educational sectors including small class size style lessons. Currently teaching KS3 through to A-Level mathematics. Outside of my school teaching, I am an Edexcel and OCR examiner for GCSE and A-Levels Mathematics. This has provided me with an insight to address common misconceptions that students may have, which helps them to better understand the topics. This has also enabled me to share my knowledge and enhance exam techniques in preparation for exams.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to personal tuition encompasses a range of strategies, but above all I aim to provide you with a tailored programme that is best suited to your individual needs. I provide assistance across the full spectrum of age and ability, from those facing particular challenges with their learning to assisting gifted students seeking to extend their studies. My approach to tutoring is always determined by an assessment of the student's needs and establishing realistic targets for achievement. Through the process, I help students to gain a deep understanding of the subject matter - discussion in tutorials helps students to see the significance and implications of their knowledge so they can apply what they have learned in new contexts. I facilitate the development of students' ability to think and act like a professional mathematician, rather than like a student 'covering' a syllabus in maths.

Personal Description:
I am a recent Imperial College, London graduate with 8 years of tutoring experience. I have helped many students prosper in terms of education and personal development, and I appreciate the immeasurable impact tutoring has on the performance and development of their school lives.

Tutoring was initially just a rewarding experience for me however, it has now evolved into a passion. My main subject is Maths (up to A Level, incl Further Maths :C1-C4, M1-M3,S1,S2, FP1-3)

..

Teaching Experience:

I have more than 8 years experience in teaching Mathematics for Secondary to University level.

Tutoring Approach:

I offer discounted introductory sessions to new students, where we have the opportunity to introduce ourselves and become familiar with one another. This allows my students to open up to me and share their strengths and weaknesses. Once I have observed their level and pace, I plan my lessons entirely based upon the individual's personal progress. My methodology during the sessions consists of an interactive whiteboard, which I believe is very engaging for me and my students

Personal Description:
I have just recently graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in English Literature & Language. I am very passionate about literature and history outside of a teaching capacity. I have decided to begin tutoring since graduating as I would love to pass on my knowledge and teaching to students of all ability. I am also a mentor to students in my local community I have interests in football, quizzing, drama, and cinema.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring students for over four years in London and Oxford. I initially began tutoring friends and family for GCSE History, English Language and English Literature. Soon I decided to take it further and began tutoring people in my local area. In my time as a GCSE tutor I have managed to push students from C grades towards B's and above.

I also tutor in AS/A Level English Literature and History. For AS/A Levels I regularly focus on exam technique and try to improve on essay structure.

Tutoring Approach:

When I arrived at Oxford I began tutoring students taking their A-Levels and my tutoring proved successful as many of my students went on to achieve very top marks in their exams. By focusing on bad exam technique and trying to eliminate common mistakes in essay writing it allowed me to greatly improve ability. Encouragement is something I have always found to be a worthy asset in tutoring as it empowers the tutee and provides the comfortable atmosphere needed for the student to excel. I aim to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere that differs from the classroom so students can get to appreciate the texts and their various nuances without the pressures of a classroom.

Personal Description:
I specialise in giving children the confidence they need to succeed. The fast pace of the National Curriculum leaves no time for the child who needs longer to assimilate information, especially if they learn better with more concrete hands-on practical experience. This is not the fault of the child, but of the system.
I also help children with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADD, ADHD, deafness (BSL), depression, Downs Syndrome and other disabilities.

Teaching Experience:

I have 30 years experience teaching all ages of people from age 2 to adults, but mainly the primary years. I have taught in England, USA and Kuwait. In schools and alternative settings such as small family groups and individual tutoring sessions.
I am a qualified teacher of hearing impaired children with a knowledge of BSL.
I have taught English to adult learners in Kuwait and the USA. I have also taught children whose fist language is not English.

Tutoring Approach:

I teach using my student`s preferred learning style, which could be visual, auditory, or kinaesthetic (or more likely a combination of them). With parents permission I also use tools such as Brain Gym©, EFT tapping, therapeutic essential oils to help my students overcome their learning difficulties. These tools really get results in terms of confidence, concentration and overcoming blocks to learning.

I also watch carefully for full engagement and when that is waning will switch activities to continue the learning process in a different way. Learning does not take place without enjoyment.

I am patient, kind and cheerful and aim for each student to enjoy their sessions with me while gaining confidence and ability.

I also teach English as another language from aged 3 to adult.

Personal Description:
I am Dimitrios and I am a freelance musician/teacher/producer. My main musical discipline is drumming but I also play guitar and have basic knowledge of keyboards. I also possess a high level of musical theory and I am an intermediate percussion player.

I am 25 years old and I currently reside in South-West London. I am Greek but the last three years I've been living in UK.

I have studied in the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, graduating with a Bachelor Degree under the excellent guidance of Pete Riley (Guthrie Govan) and Frank Tontoh ( Amy Winehouse, George Michael). With them I have studied and played a wide variety of contemporary musical styles (funk, jazz, pop, hip-hop, r'n'b, rock, latin etc)

I am very approachable, friendly and open minded and I love to share my knowledge on music and everything else around this subject. I can also provide advise on career questions, hardware and general consultation.

Teaching Experience:

My teaching experience begins back in Greece where I used to help my private tutor ease his workload. I used to handle beginners and very young children. I have also spend a year on teaching before I moved in England to study as a mean of preparing my self for the path of the Freelance Musician I was aiming for.

During my days in ACM, I also used to help fellow students on lower levels of the school to better prepare for their Bachelor Course.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach depends largely on two factors. The age of my student and his experience.

I usually prefer to take my students back to the very basics. In case of drumming, I like to check their very body stance, their movement, the general understanding of time and rhythm and even their breathing while focusing on the instrument.

In general I tend to make everything sound fun and easy and approachable and I insist on connecting all the knowledge into practical concepts so the student can better understand what he is actually learning and why.

Overall, I focus on fun and relaxations but through discipline and organized learning and understanding.

Personal Description:
I have currently been in my teaching role for four years. I have worked with children from Nursery through to the end of Primary seven.
I studied at Edinburgh University after leaving High school at the end of sixth year with nine highers in a variety of subjects including Maths (A) and English (B). I also have higher qualifications in Biology, Geography, Modern Studies, History, Computing Studies, Art, French and Hospitality.
I am 26 years old and have recently just bought a house in East Lothian.
I am happy to travel as I have a car and I am also happy to work at my own home.
Being a teacher means I am extensively PVG checked and have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to tutoring and teaching.

Teaching Experience:

Primary School Teacher, East Lothian Council, Tranent August 2013 - Present

• The main duties in my role have included: delivering the curriculum to a primary four and seven class, assessing pupils and recording evidence then using this information to plan the next steps in teaching, working alongside other professionals and management for planning and behavior management and nurturing children's health and wellbeing whilst remaining professional at all times.
• I have been in charge of my own professional development and have attended a number of courses and training sessions.
• I have contributed to the wider life of the school by organising and running after school clubs. In my three years teaching at an upper and middle level in primary I have gained a wealth of experience and confidence. I have worked at many levels including my classroom, my school and cluster level and have been a part of cluster numeracy moderation which was invaluable to my own professional development.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a very calm and easy going approach to teaching whilst ensuring each child gets what they need out of our sessions. I believe building a relationship with the child is important; they need to be able to trust, respect and like me as an individual.
As I have worked with a variety of children in a variety of settings I feel comfortable working with every child that needs my support.
