Personal Description:
I am married with two young children. I enjoy all sports and travelling.

Teaching Experience:

I am Head of Chemistry at a large 14-18 Leicestershire Upper School. I have taught at this school for 20 years. I teach GCSE and A-Level Chemistry. I have about 18 years tutoring experience with much success. As well as teaching AQA A-level and GCSE Chemistry, I have tutored OCR, Salters and EDEXCEL. Indeed, one of my private students achieved 100% in an A-level Chemistry module last year and this year another student achieved 100% in an AQA GCSE Chemistry module. My students consistently achieve over 90% in examinations.
I do tutor all abilities and all my students reach their potential and beyond.
I am Principal Examiner for IGCSE Chemistry (Foundation) for Cambridge International Examinations. I also set GCSE Chemistry Questions and check question papers before they are sat.
Recently, I have been tutoring students in preparation for the Chemistry component of the GAMSAT Examination - used as a route into medicine by some students.
I also use Skype and email for online tutoring. Recently I have been tutoring a student using Skype. This has proved very successful and means that I can now offer tuition to students without any travelling involved or who live just too far away from me to travel. If you would like to try this as an option please get in touch with me. I can definitely recommend tutoring by Skype - try it if you live too far to travel.

Tutoring Approach:

I think the key to excellent examination results is confidence in being able to tackle the questions set. I, therefore, focus on passed papers alongside the teaching of the theory. I expect the students to ask about parts they do not understand and build on this whilst building up their understanding and knowledge.

Personal Description:
I'm an educational professional with over 20 years of teaching experience. I love teaching and learning and very much enjoy working with students.

I'm an avid reader and whilst I enjoy contemporary fiction, I have a real love of the classics and return to them again and again for both solace and inspiration.

My spare time is taken up with dancing and DJ'ing which I do on a semi-professional basis, organising classes, workshops and social dance events in the UK and continental Europe.

Teaching Experience:

I spent nine years co-owning and running a private language school in which I taught English both one-to-one and in small groups. I then continued to teach English freelance for two years, in the UK and in Italy. From 2002 to 2009, I worked on continued professional development for GPs and Primary Care team members, organising and delivering educational programmes and workshops. I currently tutor students and am also training in a new methodology to deliver fast-track intensive literacy programmes in secondary schools.

Tutoring Approach:

My main concern is that your confidence and belief in your own ability increases, so that what seemed difficult becomes easy and what seemed impossible becomes achievable. I like to work at your pace, in your preferred style and to build on your existing strengths. Of course the outcome is important, but my aim is that the process of working together will provide you with skills which you will be able to apply to all your future studies.

Personal Description:
I am currently a first year student at the University of Bedfordshire, studying Sport's Management, with a keen interest specifically in Sports Development.

Throughout my prior educational years I have had a strong passion for both Physical Education and History, and was able to learn a great deal under some fantastic teaching methods. Whilst in Primary School i was enrolled with a tutor and found the experience valuable and gave me a step ahead when taking exams.

Teaching Experience:

Although no current teaching experience, I have realised that eventually I would like to go into a full time teaching role, and with my previous experience would find an opportunity of tutoring and teaching extremely rewarding.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is that learning can be very easy given the correct manner in which taught.

I would be willing to listen to pupils and parents and engage in where they feel they need to improve as well as teaching the curriculum required to have a good understanding and knowledge of the subject in hand.

I would make the learning of the subject interesting but also with a proffesional approach allowing the pupil to deliver and fulfil there maximum potential.

Personal Description:
I was born in the Dominican Republic and my family moved to the USA as a young teen where I finished my High School and university education.
I have lived in many different places like Florida, Jamaica, Curacao, Suriname and now London.
I absolutely love to teach languages. It brings me great satisfaction to help my students learn to communicate in the language of their choice.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught EFL and Spanish for 12 years 1:1 and in groups at a corporate level. I have also taught High School Spanish and French in USA. I have tutored students in Spanish, English and French at all levels, for A levels, GCSE, business or pleasure with great success.

Tutoring Approach:

A teacher should be able to make his lessons dynamic and interactive, always engaging the student and learning about their learning style. In a group setting it is important to differentiate and in 1:1 lessons it is vital to tailor the lessons according to the needs of the student.

Personal Description:
I consider myself an enthusiastic and creative primary school and music teacher, full of innovative ideas and interdisciplinary approaches to education of children and adults . Personal Description:
Hello! If you're looking for intensive revision before an important exam, or long-term assistance throughout the academic year, then look no further. I graduated with first class honours in 2014 having studied Business Economics for 3 years at Nottingham Trent University. Since leaving University I have pursued a career in financial services, which has given me the perfect opportunity to apply many of the skills I developed throughout education to real-world situations. I have had a keen interest in maths and statistics since a young age, demonstrating my ability by achieving an A at GCSE in Maths and an A in Statistics. This was a contributing factor towards my study of economics given how the two subjects interlink, achieving a B at Economics at A level. All of these skills were brought together at University, with my degree heavily reliant on the use of statistics as well as algebra and other important maths concepts. I am keen to help you/your child achieve their maths goals, and I hope that I can use my use of maths in my every day work to show how important maths and economics skills are both academically and for the real world.

Teaching Experience:

Throughout my time at school, sixth form and university I was always keen to teach peers both as part of large groups in class and on an individual basis, something I enjoyed because it helped me to develop my own skills and also because of the reward of seeing someone else do well as a result of my help. This has included me teaching a fellow GCSE student at the time of my own studying, as well as more recently helping a colleague with her entrance exams for her PGCE teaching exams. I also completed a week of work experience at my local primary school, which was an opportunity for me to develop my coaching skills in the best environment.

Tutoring Approach:

Having personally varied my own learning techniques throughout education dependent on the subject and the learning environment, I understand that every individual learns in a different way; I will use the early stages of tutoring to gauge the needs and learning styles of the tutee, and alter my teaching to these needs. Whilst I am keen believer that each individual has their own learning style, I also believe it is important that everyone tries new styles to work out which is most effective for them. Personally I like the use of extensive notes when first learning to understand a concept or theory, and then more concise notes that can I can use to prompt myself later on. Finally, I think that encouraging someone to regularly sit previous exam papers can develop the skills in a more applied environment whilst also helping a student to be more relaxed when it comes to the real exam situation.

Personal Description:
Hello everyone! /Bonjour à tous !
My name is Sarah, I am an enthusiastic, patient and diplomatic young French native. I am willing to teach and help anyone with the beautiful French language.
What else about me? I am a music lover and enjoy going to gigs as much as I can, with a preference for the band Coldplay… I love long walks in nature (preferably with a cute dog by my side), and discovering new places.

I am currently unemployed and would relish the opportunity to gain experience in tutoring. I would love the opportunity to share my French skills with anyone needing help or willing to learn.

Teaching Experience:

I may not have the past of teaching but I firmly believe that my abilities are matching the role of Tutor. I am able to adapt to very different situations, and also well organised. Three years spent in the UK and translating articles from English to French for ColdplayCorner.com made me confident with the English language.
I proved my abilities with children by working temporarily in a primary school in France in 2012 and 2013. I was in charge of the supervision at lunch time and sometimes break time with kids from age 3 to 6.
I, later on in 2013, moved to London to learn English and the perks of the British culture. I was working as an Au-Pair/Nanny for 3 children (aged 7 to 12 when I started) in Camden from September 2013 to September 2016. I loved my job and being close to the children every day, the best positive experience of my life so far!

Tutoring Approach:

The idea of tutoring has held much fascination for me ever since I have a keen love for education and loved all my school years. I am convinced I have what it takes to develop and implement tutoring plans that best fit each individual student I could have. I could use my personal skills to always stay calm and positive with the students. I can work comfortably with people from diverse backgrounds and can exhibit patience and judgement, especially where the need for both is dire.
For example, for anyone who wants to learn a bit of French, I would start with the basics and go more and more deeply in the language. I can make the lesson enjoyable by talking about one the favourite subject of the student. In my opinion, this is a good way of teaching and learning a language as it encourages interaction and communication. I can also do basic lessons and help students with their homework.

Personal Description:
Semi-retired, experienced teacher who enjoys developing students as independent thinkers. Passionate about supporting people in reaching their goals. Patient and supportive. Current Enhanced DBS Certificate.

Teaching Experience:

I have over 15 years experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths and Science in secondary schools; returning to teaching after working in industry where I extended my experience and skills in developing people to attain their personal and professional goals. Passionate about developing students to reach their maximum potential - I have experience in teaching, mentoring and supporting students across all abilities. Previous experience tutoring students in maths at both primary and secondary level.

Tutoring Approach:

Whether pre-GSCE and wanting to increase skills and confidence in maths, or working towards a GCSE and wanting to secure a higher grade - my approach is to understand the student as a learner to identify potential barriers to their understanding, and then building skills through practice to embed learning. I focus this within the context of what the student wants to achieve - the reason why they have sought-out help from a maths tutor.
