Personal Description:
I have obtained my first degree in the field of engineering and since sep 2003 i am teaching students of different age groups.

Teaching Experience:

I have been preparing students to appear for their GCSE exams since Seo 2003. I have also taught in schools from year 6 to GCSE. So teaching kids also is not a big thing for me.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe teaching should be fun. Until and unless the teacher makes it fun the student wont be able to understand anything at all. Making it interesting is not an easy task but only someone who really wants to teach can do it.

Personal Description:
I am currently an undergraduate studying Philosophy at UCL.
I studied the International Baccalaureate in my final two years at school, and so understand the difficulties of balancing all your subjects- particularly when it comes to tackling the tricky bits.

Teaching Experience:

I've tutored younger children in the past, and even though I do not have extensive experience of official tutoring, I have played the 'tutor-role' to my younger sibling through his 11+ entrance exams and now into his GCSE's.
I am currently tutoring two children in maths and english.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that good teaching is integral to students' learning. As a student, I am all too familiar with being in the situation where a teacher may be intelligent and passionate about their subject, but are not able to communicate and engage with students. I beleive that engaging with the student and their method of learning is key to the student understanding the work.

I also put great importance upon boosting confidence and reassuring students that they have the abilities within them.

I am based in north London at the moment. As a lecturer in engineering chemistry, I taught as well as conducted experiments & tutorials related to applications of chemistry in engineering & technology, consisting of 50-60 students , facilitating their learning of the practical skills fundamental to applied chemistry, in a safe environment. Helped to reproduce experiments and taught associated theoretical concepts of the applied chemistry to engineering students, topics of which include spectroscopy, fuels, lubricants, electrochemistry, chemical bonding, chemical equilibrium, phase equilibrium, polymers, chemical kinetics, basic organic chemistry, stereochemistry etc, Helped in conducting advanced practical labs which included the volumetric titrations i.e. redox complexometric, iodometric, iodimetric, preparation of polymers like Bakelite and urea-formaldehyde resin, determination of surface tension, viscosity by various viscometers, verification of Beer Lambert's law etc.

I am also motivated to teach as I enjoy the honesty and genuineness that children posses and I love to be around them; the children are a huge motivator in my desire to become an educator. An additional idea which motivates me is that I believe in knowledge grows with teaching.I use my technical skills in order to give best lessons to my students as it can be seen from their previous results. I am very patient and don't my teaching the students from scratch or basics.I am highly positive and optimistic and give my 100% attention to poor students.

Personal Description:
I have just finished an undergraduate degree in French at Oxford University (Queen's College, First Class Honours) and I am taking a year out to earn money for further study. The degree not only gave me a comprehensive knowledge of French literature but also allowed me to spend 7 months in France during which I became fluent in the language. I also spent a month in French-speaking Guadeloupe where I studied on an intensive language course and researched the Creole spoken there.

Teaching Experience:

I spent 7 months in France teaching secondary school students English. This involved teaching a wide range of ages and abilities in a class and on a one-to-one basis. I have also done voluntary work at a local youth centre and I am part of the Oxford university Target Schools program which works with secondary school students looking to apply for higher education. I am therefore confident working with young people from a variety of backgrounds.

Tutoring Approach:

I begin tutoring by arranging a trial session where I assess the tutee's level of French language and discuss the specific areas they would like to focus on. Lessons would then be an hour or two hours, depending on what the tutee prefers, and structured around ten minute blocks of learning and small sections of application to allow the tutee to test their understanding of each topic.

Personal Description:
I have chosen a career in teaching because I want young people to develop not just academically but also socially, morally and culturally, through dynamic, passionate and effective teaching. I believe that I am a good role model for young people and can inspire them to reach high targets and goals.

Teaching Experience:

I graduated with a an 2.2 Honours Degree in Aeronautical Engineering after studying for Four years at the University of Limerick, which I believe gives me a solid understanding of the subject. The advanced mathematics I studied allow me to challenge students to think outside the box and to always question before accepting in mathematics. I have good knowledge of KS3 and KS4 Mathematics which I want to teach to young people in a fun and energetic way. I finished the 1-year PGCE in 2007 attaining all the QTS standards. I have just recently passed my induction year as an NQT. I have spent approximately 3 years teaching in secondary schools around the Greater Manchester Borough which includes primary and sixth form experience.

Tutoring Approach:

The subject is often misunderstood and unreasonably feared, yet I believe it to be simpler and more logical than any language. I believe in building a solid foundation in understanding before moving onto more difficult concepts. My teaching methods are also tailored to the needs and abilities of each individual student where each student can be assessed on these grounds. I try to make the tutoring process as interesting and fun as possible but students are reminded that work is required on their part, to gain maximum benefits form each session.

Personal Description:
I'm currently studying a mathematics degree at Queen Mary University. I am very passionate about mathematics as I think it's one of the most fundamental of all subjects and that proficiency in it is essential for everyone. I'm also a qualified first aider for a charity, and am multilingual.

Teaching Experience:

I've been tutoring part time on and off for the last year.

Tutoring Approach:

Hi,

I'm currently studying a mathematics degree at Queen Mary University and am offering tuition in maths for pupils doing their 11-14, GCSEs or A Levels. During the first tutorial I will determine your child's current level by giving them questions from past papers / books from their age group and all tuition will be tailored to match and improve your child's proficiency. I set homework every lesson, and will report to you on the student's progress.

- Having gone through the UCAS university admissions process myself, having helped other students with their personal statements and generally UCAS applications, I am knowledgable with the process and can give sound advice on how to have the highest chance of success with getting a place on the course you want, especially with mathematical and science courses. I am familiar with the interview processes for mathematics courses, especially at top universities which means that I can provide very valuable guidance for your child.

- Having been an A Level student only 2 years ago, and with one of my parents being a full time teacher, I am familiar with the current curriculum, requirements, exam structure etc, and have a lot of learning material available. Exam success is about subject knowledge and test technique in equal measure and your child will benefit from my help with both.

- Preparing for the 2010/11 academic year before it begins will give your child a great boost from the beginning, both in terms of attainment as well as confidence. If your child is in secondary school, improving now will mean that you could place your child in a higher set at school, and if your child is about to start A Levels it will take out a lot of initial confusion and stress about the subject and will mean that the student will feel confident and achieve better results in class.

- I can travel to anywhere in London - please give me a call and let me know what your requirements are.

- I have had a recent enhanced CRB done.

If you feel that you would like to make use of my services, please give me a call or email and we will discuss the various options.

Regards,

Michael
