Personal Description:
I am a Master of Arts graduate of Choreography and a Bachelor of Arts graduate of French language and literature. My mother tongue is greek but I am also a native speaker in english because I was born in Australia. I live in London and don't mind travelling within London. I am friendly, communicative and very outgoing so feel free to contact me for any tuitions :)

Teaching Experience:

Teaching is one of my favourite activities because it is a way to share my knowledge with young people and also with adults. I have been teaching various subjects since 2006 which include dance, french language, greek language and english language. I always have my classes organised to achieve the goals that my students have in a specific amount of time, not time-wasters please:) I am currently a Visiting Lecturer in Universities.

Tutoring Approach:

Tutoring for me must have a methodology and a structure. It always depends on the needs of the student, the goals and the time available. As long as you know your aim, we can work around it together.

Personal Description:
Hi, I'm Emma

Thanks for reading my profile and I would love to have the opportunity to help you improve your French.

I am a very motivated and organised person who has spent a lot of time in France and consequently I have a good level of French pronunciation. I enjoy teaching on an individual basis as well as to groups of children or adults who all share the same goal to learn or improve French!!

I am a 41 year old mum of two boys (6 & 12yrs) and I am able to empathise with different approaches t o learning as required to suit the student. Sometimes, a more light-hearted approach may be needed to re-ignite the interest in learning a language and my experience in teaching children of various abilities at KS2 level enables me to do this with ease.

Teaching Experience:

For the last 7 years, I have been teaching French at several different primary schools (KS2) in Chester during curriculum time.

I have also been running my own successful lunchtime and after-school clubs. These clubs cater for children 3-11years old.

At GCSE level, I have successfully raised the grades of many students and have a good knowledge of the AQA examination syllabus. I can offer assistance in the written assignments and can offer invaluable assistance in the preparation for oral examinations. I have a good understanding of French grammar which is an area I find many students struggle to understand.

At an adult level, I have taught complete beginners through to business people who need/want to learn or improve their French to assist with moving abroad. I find teaching adults to be especially enjoyable due to the enthusiasm shown which leads to fast results.

Tutoring Approach:

At our first meeting, I will assess your level and find out which areas in the French language (written, spoken, listening, reading) you find particularly challenging or especially want to improve in. I will also discuss with you ways that you particularly like to learn and the timescale you envisage our sessions to run for.

I am open and flexible in my approach and will make the sessions enjoyable for you. I will tailor my lessons each week according to your needs and prepare additional (home)work if requested to ensure continuity in our learning.

I hope I have shared with you enough information about my wide experience in teaching French at all levels to encourage you to contact me. I am passionate about learning French and would really like to share it with you too!

Personal Description:
I have returned to teaching 5 years ago preferring to work in the private tuition/coaching area because the personal satisfaction is higher.

I have a first class honours degree in chemistry from the University of Leicester, a DPhil from the University of Oxford and a PGCE [Chemistry] from Oxford.

I keep up to date with my subject through regular Continuing Professional Development activities including reading about the subject and attending seminars and courses.

I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, a Chartered Chemist and a Chartered Scientist.

Teaching Experience:

I was Head of Chemistry at Eton College [the famous public school] for four years and taught part time students chemistry at the University of Northampton.

Since 1989 I have been an Associate Lecturer in chemistry with The Open University teaching part-time students by distance learning and at Summer Schools. I currently teach an Open University chemistry course.

I have been coaching students in science and maths for over 30 years. Post-16 I have extensive specialist background in chemistry for Edexcel, OCR and AQA at AS and A2, including Salters, A-level plus I have experience of the International Baccalaureate, PreU and supporting vocational courses and home schooled students.

I have supported students in chemistry, biology, physics [as triple or double science, for the AQA, Edexcel and OCR syllabuses (including 21st Century science)] and maths at GCSE/IGCSE for many years and for helping with Independent School entrance. I have also supported students studying for equivalency testing for career development.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a patient, friendly and successful teacher specialising in chemistry at GCSE and A-level [and university level]. In addition I have extensive experience of tutoring science and mathematics to GCSE level. My experience covers helping students of all ages [from primary to adults] and from all backgrounds. I have a good sense of humour, am used to teaching on-line and in 1:1 situations. My approach is to boost a students` confidence in a relaxed environment resulting in greater success and self-belief which results in more enjoyment - and success - in the subjects being studied. Over the years I have successfully helped hundreds of students to achieve success.

In-between sessions students can contact me by email or telephone for support with exam questions or school work at no extra charge rather than waiting until the next meeting.

I am free to meet with students if the day time if this is more convenient. Alternatively I have a lot of experience of teaching via Skype if this is preferred. At the moment I am putting together my teaching timetable for Autumn 2017 and have several slots available for new students

Currently I am teaching:

3 A-level chemistry students
1 IB chemistry student
2 GCSE science students
3 IGCSE maths, chemistry, physics and biology student
2 GCSE maths students
1 Open University course in chemistry

Personal Description:
From my experience in the classroom I realise that many students benefit from much more individual help than school can provide. I enjoy being able to help students on a one-to-one basis as it is very rewarding being able to improve their achievement and confidence.I am very grateful to my students and their parents for the relationships we have struck up, many of which have continued through the years.

Teaching Experience:

I am an English teacher with over 20 years experience teaching to GCSE, A-level and Oxbridge entrance.I have taught in both the independent and state sectors, in a large comprehensive and a small independent school. I have also tutored in Oxford and London for students from 10 to 19.

Tutoring Approach:

One to one or small groups of 2 or 3.

I aim to develop confidence by supporting the students and understanding their needs as a priority. I then encourage them to explore and develop ideas, giving them support while they grow in this. The key is building an excellent relationship in which high expectations enable them to make progress while always supported.

Personal Description:
I am a divorcee with two teenagers and a rather loopy dog (all housetrained!) I discovered the joys of teaching as a parent helper at my children's Infant and Junior schools which inspired me to qualify as a Primary School teacher. Unfortunately I have developed arthritis in my knee which is why I am looking to continue my teaching in a non-school environment. My favourite academic subject is literacy because I love reading books by a wide range of authors, e.g. Austin and Dickens to J K Rowling and Jacqueline Wilson. I love creative crafts e.g. card making, cross stitch, scrapbooking etc. Music plays a big part in my life, including listening and making. I'm a bit of a diva on the recorder and can play the full range from Sopranino to Bass. I love to sing.

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified Primary School Teacher who has worked in a number of schools in Essex in permanent, temporary and supply posts across both KS1 and KS2 over the last four years. My PGCE was obtained through School Centred Initial Teacher Training (which comprised spending a lot of time working directly with children). Prior to that I was a parent helper and governor for 5 years at my children's Infant and Junior Schools. I was Music Leader at my last school for two years and ran the choir. I enjoy teaching all primary subjects. I am keen to also support adults in improving their maths and literacy skills.

Tutoring Approach:

I am familiar with the Primary Curriculum. Hands on learning is great fun and I enjoy practical activities. I love working on a one to one basis as you can build a rapport and really personalise the learning. I enjoy topic work as it gives the learning a context and shows that subjects do not stand alone without any connections/overlap with each other (just like life). I am keen to support both adults and children in mastering literacy and numeracy skills because they are fundamental life skills. Personalised learning means that any gaps can be filled so that an individual has a firm foundation on which to build.

Personal Description:
I am a primary school teacher who lives in Brighton. I love living in Sussex and exploring the countryside and the amazing opportunities that there are within the county.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching in Primary Schools for 10 years now. I have taught years 4,5 and 6 so have an enhanced understanding of the curriculum requirements for this age as well as the expectations for the end of Key Stage 2 SATs tests.
I am still in the teaching profession and have an up to date understanding of current educational change.
Last year I was a personal tutor to 4 children all of whom were Year 6 and all of whom achieved Level 4 or above in their Maths SATs paper.
I have just completed a maths specialism course at Brighton university which has really developed my understanding of misconceptions children have in mathematics. I have worked as a maths specialist teacher to support lower attaining groups within school as well.
I am currently completing a Masters in Childrens Literature in order to continue to enhance my understanding in this area.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a firm believer in identifying what it is that is acting as a barrier to children's learning, each child is an individual so I therefore believe that they will require highly personalised learning experiences in order to help them make progress. So the tutoring experience your child will receive will be highly tailored to their needs.

I also feel strongly that learning should be meaningful and multi-sensory so I ensure that my teaching style allows the children to recognise the applications of their learning in the real world and is represented in as many different styles as possible to ensure that the learning is embedded and meaningful.

Personal Description:
Teaching .. my true vocation in life. If someone was to ask me what is the best thing that I can do with my life, I would answer without any doubt "Teaching". I love teaching and learning at the same time, in fact, I usually say that I cannot remember a day in my life without studying or learning something new.

I consider myself reliable, methodical, punctual with friendly manners and empathic.

Teaching Experience:

Today I am teaching Spanish at Hinckley & Nuneaton College, collaborating with Sidney Stringer Academy (GCSE) and I have recently completed my Diploma in Education and Training at the University of Warwick, which has allowed me to apply for QTLs.

I have enjoyed teaching Spanish to people of all ages, the youngest being just 4 years old and the oldest being over 70. I teach all levels, from complete beginners, young learners, GCSE, A' Level or degree level as well as adults wishing to learn a few phrases for holidays or business trips, or people who plan to live in Spain.

I have a large experience in several Public High Schools in Spain and in private education as well.

I taught in an Adult Education Public Centre where I prepared the access exam to University (Literacy, Maths and Science).

In addition, I taught several modules of programming: J2EE, PHP, C++ POO, C, PL/SQL, MySQL and Oracle DDBB. I developed web applications including shopping cards, using Mode-View-Controller architecture pattern, PDO, Sql, Singleton pattern, OOP, CSS, Dreamweaver, Html, XML, Doxygen, UML …etc. I have a Master Degree in Java and I developed websites with Struts, Ibatis, Spring, JSP, JQuery ....

Furthermore, I taught Spanish language to Erasmus Students in my country.

Tutoring Approach:

I make my lessons as interactive and enjoyable as possible using all kind of activities, flashcards, games, music, art and stories. It is amazing how quickly children, teenager and adults pick up the language in a natural way, without stress. I try to teach not only a language but also the Spanish lifestyle, cuisine, customs and culture.

I have had experience working in both the public (5 years) and private sectors (6 years) of education and have taught students of different age groups which has enabled me to develop the skills and abilities required to be able to encourage and promote the students best potential. I am able to set priorities, identify problems and focus my attention and energy on resolving these issues. Most importantly, I like to find new and creative ways of teaching that motivate and encourage the students to learn in an enjoyable and challenging environment.

A good classroom session is never the result of improvisation or chance, so, I have made this my motto "90 percent of transpiration, 10 percent talent" for organizing, planning contents, goals, time, procedures and of course paying special care and attention to diversity in the class, adapting myself to the real needs of the pupils.

Spanish language is a beautiful and useful language because of the growing populations and economies of many Spanish-speaking countries and their growing international tourism as well. I love my mother language and I like to teach it to you. In person, with Skype ...everything is a good idea if you want to learn ... because, where there is a wish there is a way...

Personal Description:
I am a 56-year-old mathematics graduate, living near Frodsham & working full-time in the chemical industry. I am married with two grown-up children. I find the tuition of maths a fresh & interesting challenge away from my usual work & I believe that, because of this, my enthusiasm for the subject is transmitted to my students.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring, one-to-one, for 12 years & have also spent time working with small groups of students in a local comprehensive school in the run-up to national exams. I have worked with students of ages ranging from 10 years to 18 years & have also worked with adults on the mathematics units of their university degrees.

Tutoring Approach:

During the time I have been tutoring, I have received many cards & e-mails commenting, almost invariably, on my patience. I appreciate that meeting a tutor & starting to work one-to-one may be daunting for some students, especially if they are not confident with the subject. With this in mind, I try to encourage a relaxed informality from the outset, with occasional reminders, if necessary, of why I'm there! I realize that each student is an individual & try to deliver what they (& their parents) want from the sessions. I welcome parents' involvement & will address any particular concerns that they have.

Personal Description:
I'AM AAT QUALIFIED AND ACCA FINALIST. I do lecture on-line via Skype and also could meet you up for one to one basis

Teaching Experience:

I have taught on many aspects of accountancy subjects, these include F6 Taxation, F2 Management accounting, F3 Financial Accounting, F7 Financial Reporting and F8 Audit & Assurance, which are subjects on ACCA syllabus. I have also taught on AAT (to include all units) and ABE syllabus on similar subjects and I posses a profound understanding of my chosen subjects and capable of teaching them effectively.
My excellent understanding of double entry accounting procedures provide me with the basis of dealing with various aspects of reconciliations i.e.; control account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, VAT reconciliation and dealing all aspect of ledger accounts. I also have an excellent understanding of Sage line 50 and 100 and had also used many accounting packages. Recently I worked with East Surrey College on a contract basis teaching Financial Statements, Personal Tax, and Financial Performance (AAT Level 4).

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is to groom my students in a flexible manner towards passing their exams and ensuring that my lectures are carried out in a friendly and conductive environment that involves every student. I believed that teaching is a social institution as much as it is a profession, hence partnering with my students by becoming one of them provides me that yardstick to which a good relationship between us is established.

The emotional and social (pastoral) platform I created enable free communication between us and giving me that opportunity to gain their trust and their cooperation. The ramification of this is their countenance when they work in the morning and their readiness to discuss issues or their concerns with me.

My approach to teaching is methodical, resulting from the principle of hard working and professional discipline; my scheme of work and lesson plans are well prepared ahead of the start the course and handed over to my students at the very first day of every semester. Also the weekly lesson plans are given to my students one week in advance of the lectures. I always seek to start every topic within a syllabus with a tutorial question that provides student with that rudiment or fundamental principles in which that topic is enshrined.

I like the idea of interactive class, as a result I used questions as a means of communicating my lectures with my students and ensuring every student within the class is involved. I moved from one table to the other and where necessary I dealt with student on a one to one basis if I felt a particular student seemed to be lacking behind. Passing any paper within any accountancy professions require a lot of reading and treating many past questions by students.

Note that my rate is £40 flat rate if you are only requesting for one hour tuition . I DO NOT DO HOME VISIT. Please do not contact me for home visit please. Thanks!

Each Summer I taught English to children aged 7 - 12 from around the world. I lived on site (in a boarding school environment) and I was responsible for teaching, entertaining and caring for the children twenty four hours a day. Having worked for the company for several years I reached the level of Assistant Director and Head of TEFL for the residential course. I was responsible for a team of teaching staff and I ensured they were delivering suitable and stimulating English lessons throughout the course. I also taught a class of my own. As Assistant Director I was a senior part of the management team, ensuring all activity and teaching staff were working happily and correctly. In the absence of the Course Director it was my responsibility alone to ensure the smooth running of our course. I often had to deal with couriers and families and I know how to project a professional, caring, enthusiastic and genuine image. I developed my team work skills, learnt how to thrive under immense pressure and my communication skills were constantly used to their full potential.

Sept 2008 - April 2009 - Kent Youth Theatre - Drama Teacher

• Lesson Planning
• Solo Lesson Delivery
• Team Teaching

I taught children aged from 6 - 16 various theatrical disciplines and dramatic styles. I delivered a three hour workshop weekly. I ensured the children in my care were learning effectively and having a fun and enjoyable time.

March - April 2008 - Point Blank Theatre Company - Drama Facilitator

• Lesson Planning
• Team Teaching
• Behaviour Management
• PR

During a work placement with the Sheffield based theatre company Point Blank I worked with a partner to devise and deliver a cultural drama workshop. I worked as a mentor for two international students who had travelled to the UK to teach school children about their cultures. I taught the two international students how to deliver a successful drama workshop and I helped them shape their own ideas into an educational and enjoyable drama workshop for Primary School children. Alongside this project I also worked with an English partner to create a cultural workshop for deprived children in the city. I contacted The Sheffield Children's Centre and created a relationship with them enabling us to take our workshop to underprivileged children who had never had the chance to express themselves through drama.

June - September 2006 - The Funzone - Playworker

The Fun Zone provided after-school and summer holiday childcare play schemes for children, aged three to twelve. I would lead activities, play group games, prepare and cook the children's meals, clean the rooms, supervise children and be responsible for groups of children on various outings and trips throughout the summer. I learnt how to work with children and how to work effectively to carry out duties such as cooking and cleaning, while making sure the children in my care were both entertained and safe.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a friendly, fun and experienced tutor. I believe a healthy dose of humour and kindness is important when teaching and I am a very professional and hard working person.

Personal Description:
I have been studying a Product Desin course for the last 2 years, I am now transferring to do a BA in Secondary School Mathematics, and after 2 years of that I will be a qualified and working maths teacher.
I am currently taking a gap year to prepare for my studies, this has given me the oppertunity to get hands on with my teaching, and do as much maths tutoring as possible.
Mathematics has always been a passion of mine and as my ability has progressed, I've taken the oppertunity to teach Common Entrance, GCSE and A level students to prepare them for their upcoming exams. Over my years of providing maths tuition I have gained plenty of knowledge, experience, and fulfillment in what I do.
I am happy to provide tuition over skype and I will charge less for that.
Face to face will be a lot more progressive, I'm happy to travel but depending on the distance I may charge extra to cover the cost of fuel.

Teaching Experience:

Teaching became a passion of mine from a young age, I was involved with CCF (cadet force) for five years and teaching the younger cadets became an import role for me.
Since then I have been doing teaching observation in different schools and working with children aged 5 to 11 on holiday camps.
I have been providing one to one, or group tuition since the age of 17. At first I worked as an assistant for group tuition sessions during holiday periods. Now my role in these group sessions is to give 1 or 2 students extra attention, or cover for the leading tutor if he is not there. This year I have been able to carry out plenty of 1 to 1 tuition, as an indepent tutor. Every one of my students so far have achieved the grades they where hoping for, or better. Some students where predicted as low as an E at school, and achieved A grades in there exams after doing private tuition with me. From this, I truly believe that every student deseveres as much 1 to 1 attention that they can get.

Tutoring Approach:

As an experienced tutor, I have gained a range of personal teaching methods. My first aim is to understand the level and ability of my student, and figure out exactly where and what there learning difficulties are. Every student learns in there own way, especially for a subject like mathematics and therefore it is essential for me to find out how the student is progressing and to cater to there needs.
Throughout my sessions I challange my students with questions that they are likley to see in there upcoming exam. I encourage them to identify the problem infront of them, and then use there own method to overcome it. This may be a method I have taught them, but it must be a method that works for them.
If my students have little or no understanding of a certain topic, I have plenty of pre prepared lessons, and I will be very enthussiastic to teach them something new.
I often set homework based on the topics covered in the lesson. Usually 30 mins max of practice for them to do later that evening to refresh there memory on what they have learnt.
