Personal Description:
I live in Cheshire and have two children. I enjoy camping, the outdoors & the countryside in general. We like to travel around the UK, especially Scotland & Southern Ireland. I have enjoyed being successful professionally & in my academic career & I am always looking for new opportunities to make the best use of the skills I've developed over the years. I enjoy working out and train most days. I have an interest in numismatics (coins and paper money).

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching in Further & Higher education for the past 17 years & I am Head of Subject & Senior Lecturer at a College with Beacon status in the North West. My results are 10% above national benchmark & I am an examiner with a leading examination board. Last year, I carried out some regular private tuition & was able to turn E grades into A grades at A2 level. This was very satisfying for me & the student concerned was able to go on & take a degree in Law, something he wouldn't have been able to do otherwise.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to treat every student as an individual & seek to respond to their individual learning needs. I offer a very reliable, high standard of service & see us as working together to achieve a common objective, that of success in the summative examinations. Being an examiner for sociology is also a real advantage for my tutees too. More recently, I have been working with Nelson Thornes and AQA to provide 50 online Sociology learning resources for publication in support of their new A2 student book. I now also offer online tuition via Skype voice and video call at a discounted hourly rate for block bookings, hence the £30 rate.

Personal Description:
I was born into a French-speaking family and have spoken French my entire life. I have a BA from the London School of Economics in French and Linguistics. I have also lived in France for several years. I have taught French privately for over 20 years and many of my students achieve very high standards. I am very dedicated to my students and try and get the best out of them and build their confidence. One mother with five children of differing ages from 6 years old to 18, where the children were attending Harrodian in Barnes said that her children told her I "was the best French teacher they ever had" - that works for me! I can turn the most hopeless student in French into a budding linguist.

Teaching Experience:

Teaching privately French for over 20 years from beginners to University students as well as adults has given me a great deal of experience across different goals and varying levels. I teach spoken French for those who only want to simply speak the language as well as grammar for those who need to take exams. I work with University students to achieve top grades in dissertations and essays or oral exams. One of my recent students was told by her lecturers she would get a 3rd in her degree ended up getting a 2:1 - not bad eh? I love French literature so if you are studying a piece of literature, I will be able to guide you through the book. I sing with some of my students as I find singing is a wonderful way of learning a language especially where vocabulary is limited. Other students need to listen to French radio in order to accustom the ear to current spoken language and we work together to understand what is being said. I will be the best French teacher you will ever have. Try me!

Tutoring Approach:

I begin by assessing the pupils strengths and weaknesses and then plan lessons to suit the individuals needs. The most important aspect is for the pupil to enjoy the lesson so learning French is a pleasure and not a chore. I also spend time teaching exam techniques as these are as important as studying the language itself. I move away from parrot fashion teaching and ensure that the individual has the rudiments of French and is able to create sentences and has the confidence to put pen to paper.

Personal Description:
I am a motivated, organised and friendly young woman. I love working with children and I am passionate about sport. I want to become a teacher and I am currently working as a classroom assistant at a high school. I am mainly in maths supporting foundation and higher curriculum at key stage 3 and 4 . I received an A at maths at GCSE and understand the curriculum fully. I studied Sport Science with Coaching at Northumbria University. I have had substantial experience in numerous schools and with a range of departments. I am very capable of working one on one with children and also with groups of children.

Teaching Experience:

I have had work placements at Haydon Bridge High School teaching P.E to ages 13-18 for a period of 6 weeks, then assisting various classes for 75 hours over 4 months. I undertook several roles; teacher, clasroom assistant, organiser of fixtures and one on one tutor. I also returned to Haydon Bridge High school as a volunteer, assisting in P.E lessons.
I am currently emplyed as a classroom assistant at Queen Elizabeth High school. My main role is to work with one or two children with Special Educational Needs within the classroom supporting their learning. I may also have to work with a whole class, supporting all the children. It is vital for my role that I understand and can teach the curriculum, as I may have to work outside the classroom with the child and will need to tutor them in that subject area. The majority of the students I am currently working with have made progress since I have been put with them and other students are asking to be placed with me or for me to put on revision sessions for them.

Tutoring Approach:

Every child is unique. They each have their own way of learning and have different abilities in a variety of areas. This can not always be addressed within a school environment, as it can be difficult to differentiate the topic which is being taught to a large number of pupils. I understand that each child will work at a different rate therefore my rate and style of teaching will alter to suit the student. I believe that tutoring is about guiding a child to find their own way towards an answer and not making them follow your way as they may not understand the process which you have followed. I can also comprehend the amount of work which students are having to complete weekly, thus I would not supply them with a large workload alongside their normal studies.

Personal Description:
Upon leaving the Royal Air Force after an eleven year long career serving as an engineer both at home and overseas, I followed a busy career in Hospitality Management. I'm lucky, because through teaching, I get to live my passion. I love working with kids. I love inspiring learning. And I love the results .There's no better feeling than seeing one of your students finally "get it". Creative lesson plans and boundless energy are what I consider to be my hallmarks. I had the privilege of launching an entirely new curriculum at Shapala Primary School, bishop chancellor school. It was certainly a challenge, but with all new course materials, an all-school play and a trip to an English language theatre group, I knew the students were doing so much more than just going through the motions. i have been working as a tutor in uk for past 2years for maths, science for all levels .Personal tutors and Tutor fair agency.

Personal Description:
I am a student at the University of Birmingham School and, as a young tutor, I thoroughly understand the difficulties students face in achieving the top grades and how to improve revision strategies which will help with each specification. I have achieved 8A*/A grades at GCSE level.
I look for innovative ways in which I can teach and am driven by my capability of being able to instill confidence in students after two years of experience.
I am highly motivated and passionate about education, and work hard to show progress in my students. I use a wide range of resources with students and, as such, am familiar with the different exam boards.
My strongest area of teaching is Chemistry and Mathematics.

Teaching Experience:

GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths

Tutoring Approach:

My aim is to create a friendly, non-pressured approach to learning. I realise that it is vital to build the self confidence of each of my students and to ensure a clear understanding of basic skills. I assess the children carefully through questioning and discussion to identify each child's misconceptions, strengths and weaknesses. I then use a range of strategies and explanations appropriate to that child's abilities. I ensure that the student works at his/her own pace This structured approach leads to growing understanding and confidence enabling the student to make good and often very rapid progres
