Tutoring Approach: I believe it is important to establish my student's requirements and identify what is achievable as early as possible. I would build up an understanding of his/her existing knowledge,experience, learning styles and skills and then with the student and in same cases with the parent/s, agree a study schedule and learning plan specifying dates times for the student to attend tutorials and work in their own time. A lot will depend on the student who will be expected to do a lot of the work on their own. Tutorials will be regular and include elements of telephone and if possible online support . The emphasis will be on support and guidance and management of achievable targets. |
