Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic Italian teacher and a language professional seeking a position in a challenging school environment. I recently graduated in Italian Studies and I have a true passion for the Italian language and literature. My studies and my travels all around Italy gave me the chance to widen my knowledge about all aspects of the Italian culture from the linguistic to the historical point of view. My professional ambition is to contribute to the diffusion and promotion of the Italian culture: teaching my native language is the way that helps me better reach this goal. I have had different kinds of teaching experiences over years from one-to-one tuition to children and mature students in Italy, to Italian lessons to adults in England. I have wide experiences in lesson planning and schemes of work, preparing teaching materials and activities, taking care of students needs and designing new methods to keep their studies always interesting and interactive. I plan my lessons using the communicative methods in a creative way, using books, handouts, audio and video materials, games, newspaper articles and even literary texts.

QUALITIES

• I am a goal oriented and a motivated individual
• I have excellent interpersonal skills
• I am good communicator

2013/2017 freelance tutor in Bristol for 6 students and I'm teaching in private school "ISLE"
Every March I organize a trip in Rome for 4 days ONLY for my Italian students

Tutoring Approach:

I am an Italian national who has been living in Bristol since September 2012 and having had a long time experience as an Italian teacher for students who have participated in the AFS Intercultural Program, it has not been difficult to insert myself here as a private Italian teacher.
I have a deep understanding of the GCSE program since I am tutoring three English secondary school students who are having difficulties with the Italian language. They lack interest and enthusiasm thus each lesson becomes more difficult but a challenge for me. I am looking for lessons that give them the enthusiasm they are missing and I must say that I am succeeding; sometime I see that the textbook is very dry and for this reason, my personal teaching materials often replaces the book.
My method is based a lot on grammar induction, stimulating conversations with the student, based on body movements for understand the action of the various stages of the exploration of the basic construction of the verb tense. A few years ago I enrolled in a workshop offered at the university about the use and choice of scene Italian films for understand better the Italian style-life and that has been quite useful to my teaching of Italian culture.
In Italy I have had own bookshop where I held my Italian lesson, therefore I know very well many documentaries and lectures mostly (or particularly) on Ancient Rome. Furthermore, I have been a guide in the city of Rome and I'm perfectly capable of organizing a cultural trips.
I look forward to being given an opportunity to work with your school: it is the type of environment I thrive in and to transmit my passion and love for my country and for my mother tongue is my main goal. This position will allow me to utilize my many skills and knowledge to support the language teacher's teaching and improve together the student's knowledge.
I would appreciate the opportunity to meet and discuss my qualifications as well as to answer any questions you may have.

Personal Description:
In 2013, graduated from King's College London and Humboldt University in Berlin, where I studied English law and German law, LLB an LLM, in English and German. After working for a year in admin-related jobs, I did another masters, in EU International Relations, at College of Europe in Bruges, studying in English and French. I spent the last half a year in Brussels, doing a traineeship in the European Commission and now I am back in London, looking for a job and would love to do some tutoring as well, as I have some experience as a teacher and really enjoy doing it!

As far as my knowledge of German is concerned, I spent a year in Berlin (Humboldt University in Berlin) doing my masters in German and European Law and Legal practice. It included writing and defending a masters thesis in German as well as passing exams in German. I learnt German at school (passed it with the best grade at my IB final exams - A-levels equivalent, I also passed the test DaF, proving the knowledge of this language at the C1 level) and at university, where I had legal German courses. I have experience teaching German as I was tutoring German during my last year at KCL to fellow stundents within the framework of the KCL Language Society. I was also teaching German through this website a couple of years ago and very recently, during the traineeship in Brussels I was teaching intermediate German to a group of fellow trainees on a weekly basis.

As for Polish - I come from Poland originally, so Polish is my mother tongue. I went to school in Poland and only left the country at the age of 19. During my last year at KCL, I was also giving individual Polish lessons part time to English people.

Teaching Experience:

I was teaching English to children in kindergarten in my home country when I was at secondary school. The children were aged 4-6 and I was teaching basic vocabulary and expressions to them. I was preparing various games and songs in order to make the teaching experience easier for them.
While at university, I was an active member of the language society and so I taught German to fellow students, at the beginners and intermediate levels. I taught them grammar rules but also made them practice speaking and listening. I was giving individual Polish lessons during my last year at university as well. Recently, I was a German tutor teaching intermediate level German to the trainees in Brussels.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe tutors must be very patient and answer every question as carefully and as exactly as they can. They should know what their tutees' motivation for learning new languages is and try and set goals that would be suitable to the tutees' needs. This means, tutors should approach each tutee individually and find out what is most important for them in the learning process.
I also believe that learning a new language requires a lot of work to be done by the tutees at home. This is why I give homework as I believe students need to have motivation to study also outside the classes. I set a specific number of vocabulary they need to learn for the next class and check if they have done that. Moreover, I believe learning a language is not just about the grammar rules and for this reason I not only give my students grammar exercises but also encourage them to listen to the radio/news/tv etc. in the language they learn and try to speak as much as possible.

Personal Description:
I am a young qualified Latin and Ancient Greek teacher living in Colchester, Essex. I have moved away from full-time teaching, preferring to explore business interests while continuing with my passion for Classics through tutoring and in my own time.
I have a First Class BA in Classics from Cambridge, where I also studied for and received my teaching qualification (PGCE). I then taught Latin and Greek at a private school (Years 7-13) in London for two years before moving back to Colchester (where I grew up) in August 2016.

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified teacher in Classics (PGCE, Cambridge). I taught Latin and Greek for two years at a private school in London to all years from Year 7 to 13.
I have 100+ hours of private tutoring experience, including 25+ hours over Skype, in Latin and Greek from Common Entrance to A level.
My other experience includes:
I am currently also tutoring Maths A level (Edexcel) and English as a foreign language to an Italian who needs to pass her IELTS.
I also have experience in 11+, common entrance and Oxbridge interviews.

Tutoring Approach:

My strengths lie in making my tutees relaxed and comfortable: my students work hard and learn not because they have to, but because they want to. I learn where my students need to improve and how my students learn best and adapt my sessions to their needs. Some students need to learn by rote, others need to put it into practice. However we do it, my students and I work together to reach our targets and achieve success with dynamic and enjoyable lessons.

Personal Description:
Hi there, I am 26 and love working with other people to help them achieve. I truly believe everyone has the ability to achieve their potential - and that's what I aim to do. Whatever goals you have, I would like to help you work towards them.

Teaching Experience:

I have been a primary school teacher for 5 years now. I studies English and Communication with English Literature at University. I have trained in special needs and taken the SENCo qualification.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in goal focused, positive and manageable learning. I am flexible to how you would like to learn. Whether that been focusing on the things you are not so confident with or expanding the things you are. I can guide you to some reading independently or work together on unpicking problems. There is no one size fits all - it always depends on the context.
