Personal Description:
I am a postgraduate from the University of Leeds with a degree in Translation Studies with French. I have a passion for speaking French and I enjoy helping others with theirs. Simple as that really.

Teaching Experience:

Despite my relatively young age I have lots of teaching experience. I have been an English language assistant in France on two occasions, most recent of which was last year. I have worked with people with both adults and children ranging from ages 7 to 40

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is fairly straight-forward, to keep it relaxed and as informal as possible. I believe the best results can be obtained when the student is relaxed and confident, especially with regards to trying to speak a foreign language, as sometimes in a school environment the student lacks the confidence to ask questions. Rest assured, under my tuition your competence in written and spoken French will improve greatly, and hopefully it will be fun!

Personal Description:
I am a Cambridge graduate with over 25 years experience of teaching IT/Computing at secondary level. I am now semi-retired (since 2009), but was secondary school Head of Department in Information Technology with a reputation for commitment and dedication which has seen several of my pupils achieve the very top results in the country. I am married and have three grown-up children.

Teaching Experience:

I have over 25 years experience teaching ICT/Computing very successfully at secondary level. I have had three pupils achieve "top five" status (ie top five individual pupils, not merely top 5%) in the country at GCSE level - two for ICT and one for BCS. A very large majority of my pupils at GCSE level - in ICT and Business Communication Systems - have achieved grade A or A* - this from pupils of mixed abilities. Similarly a very large majority of my pupils at A-level Computing have gained grade A or B. Of my A-level pupils who have gone on to study Computing and related subjects at university, many have gained first class honours and some have been awarded "best in year" and "best overall" prizes at UCL and Imperial College.

Tutoring Approach:

I have the ability to communicate effectively to pupils of all abilities. I make a point of ensuring that pupils always have the understanding they need, and will keep working at a problem, tackling it in different ways as necessary, until I know that they have grasped it. Having worked in the IT industry before coming to teaching I am a very capable programmer, and so am able to teach this skill from a background of experience which many teachers - at least when I first set out in teaching - did not have. I also have many years of experience of different exam systems, and have been responsible for choosing which examining board's specification to follow for GCSE and A-level, and for choosing teaching and computing resources for use in school. I have greatly enjoyed encouraging the less able pupils, as well as challenging the more able ones, to achieve more than they perhaps felt possible.

Personal Description:
My name is Filomena and I am a native Italian girl graduated in Comparative Languages and Cultures. I have attended a course to teach Italian to foreigners, I have a long experience in studying languages so I well know the difficulties that one can have in learning a foreign language!

I really like to travel and discover new cultures and traditions. I have been to England many times, for studying and working and the last time I have spent three months in Leeds for an internship at the "Temple Newsam". I have also been many times to China in the last years for studying and working.
I am very patient and relaxed person, openmind, hardworking, polite and ready to face new challanges. I like to build bridges between differend cultures, I can be your connection to Italy, my beautiful country! I know a lot about my culture, traditions, food, music, art... I do not want to be just a "Language teacher" but something more, give you the best approach to my country!

Teaching Experience:

At the moment I am teaching Italian in an immigration centre in Italy for the basic level. I have already taught Italian when I was in China and I prepared a class of chinese students to the CILS exam for the level A1. I also do tandem with some university erasmus students and I am always ready to help all my foreign friends with Italian language!

Tutoring Approach:

I can be your on-line Italian Tutor for all levels. One-to-one lesson or other arrangements can be provided. Basically, I try to understand first which use of the language you want to have and then start to arrange a way of teaching (for example: if you need the language just for travelling in Italy or if you need to learn Italian in an Accademic way, or just to keep your knowledge of Italian).

I can give you a lot of online resorces to improve your language skills or we can follow your books! I can also provide you lessons on everything concerning Italy and Italian culture.

Personal Description:
Hi all (and apologies for awful hair in profile picture). I am currently a Oxford University reading mathematics (after studying at Dr Challoners), meaning that I am only available for tutoring outside of term times (although keep in mind Oxford vacations are very long! Feel free to contact me through the site and I can give you more specific information for when I am available). After trying to teach my family bits of maths for a while they have eventually tired of it so hopefully I might have more joy sharing my enthusiasm with a willing student!

Teaching Experience:

Aside from helping my younger sibling and kids I babysit with their homework, I also volunteered in a school run scheme where older students tutor struggling KS3 students once a week, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I also have some experience tutoring other students through this site.

Tutoring Approach:

When studying maths, I have often found that a sound understanding of the basic underlying principles to be key, so this is what I would hope to instill in a any students. I would also focus on developing passion and enthusiasm for the subject as this is also incredibly useful, as it encourages students to spend more time to engage with material, in a more rigorous fashion.

Personal Description:
I'm lucky, because through teaching, I get to live my passion. I love working with kids. I love inspiring learning. And I love the results .There's no better feeling than seeing one of your students finally "get it". Creative lesson plans and boundless energy are what I consider to be my hallmarks. I had the privilege of launching an entirely new curriculum at Shapala Primary School, bishop chancellor school. It was certainly a challenge, but with all new course materials, an all-school play and a trip to an English language theatre group, I knew the students were doing so much more than just going through the motions. i have been working as a tutor in uk for past 2years for maths, science for all levels .Personal tutors and Tutor fair agency.
I'm anxious to tell you more about my qualifications, why I'd like to be a part of tutoring at your class. I'll plan to follow up in a week's time. I am ready for immediate start can work flexible hours. In the meantime, feel free to contact me

Regards,
