Personal Description:
Hello. My Name is: SALMAN. I am a hard working person and I like teaching students.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked as a Post Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Southampton. My duties were to help the Foundation year students with the Laboratory experiments and Problem sheets.

I can also write PROJECTS, LAB REPORTS, ASSIGNMENTS and PRESENTATIONS for students

Tutoring Approach:

I have been teaching students as a private tutor as well as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Southampton, therefore I have a very good knowledge of the problems that students face in the different subjects that they study. Due to my experience I know what type of questions are asked in the exams and therefore while teaching my students, I emphasize particularly on the areas which can enable them to pass their exams easily. Personal Description:
I am currently a third year medical student from the University of Newcastle but I have also graduated in Human Sciences from the University of Durham back in 2007. During the holidays I live in London. I have a wealth of experience working with children and teenagers from being a Christmas grotto host at Harrods to volunteering at Great Ormond Street Hospital for over a year.

My work ethic when I was younger was not as disciplined as it is now and I am aware of the difficulties that students can face when it comes to learning new concepts and hope to help tutees overcome these barriers.

Having applied to grammar school, university and medical school I am aware of all the application processes and interviewing processes.

I am outgoing and to keep active I play hockey for my local club and my university college.

Teaching Experience:

I have helped younger family members to grasp ideas and offer new ways of learning if they were struggling. I have had job roles in the past training new employees up and feel this is a mode of teaching.

I would like to extend my higher knowledge to helping students achieve top grades in their GCSE's and A-levels

Within my current course we have peer to peer teaching which has proved to be a very effective learning tool.

Tutoring Approach:

Different individuals have different learning styles, I for one am more visual. I would try to get an understanding of how the tutee learns best, and encourage them to engage in activities that would help them. For instance, if they are visual learners then get them to draw things out.

Encouragement and patience is of great importance and listening to the needs of the individual.

My role as a tutor would be to guide and encourage the tutee to reach their educational and professional goals.

I have a first class degree in mathematics. I am learning Russian. I am interested in astronomy.

Teaching Experience:

I have helped many students achieve much better results than they initially expected. Many people find that they can understand what they at first found difficult in a well managed one to one setting. I give the lessons at my home. I have been tutoring since 1987. I have a first class honours degree in mathematics. I work as a mathematics tutor in a state school, teaching A level maths to sixth-formers and able pupils in lower years. I have also helped students prepare for STEP. I get about half my students on recommendation

Tutoring Approach:

I do in the lesson what the student asks me to do, but I am prepared to structure a course for somebody not in school,

Personal Description:
Hello! My name is Rhea and I love to teach. I am most excited about Art as this is my passion (I am currently working as a Graphic Designer). I also really enjoy learning about science (in particular neuroscience and psychology). I find astrology fascinating and so am both creative and a bit nerdy.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked in both primary and secondary schools as a teaching assistant. This was primarily in art in the secondary school, teaching children how to draw and use various materials to create great artwork. In primary school, I have helped teach literacy, numeracy, phonics, reading, science and art. During these experiences I have found ways of explaining new information to children so they can apply it without supervision. I also have worked in various school holiday clubs, so I relate very well to children.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is individualistic - each person has their own learning style and it is important to understand which way a student learns best. Some people are kinaesthetic learners, others are verbal and some have an amazing ability to memorize information. I am personally a hands on learner, but I am able to adapt to various techniques for students. I am friendly and personable and think it is important to develop a good relationship with tutees.

Personal Description:
I have recently completed a PhD in Applied Maths, and wish to use some of my experience of the subject to help other students reach their potential.

Teaching Experience:

I have several years of experience of tutoring undergraduate students in maths at the University of Sheffield. These were mostly Fundamental and 1st year maths courses, at a similar standard to A-level.

Tutoring Approach:

I can provide one-to-one or small group tuition in a relaxed, friendly environment tailored to the student's needs. My approach is mainly to establish areas of weakness in the student's understanding, and try to help them overcome these by explaining the basic principles and working through example questions with them.

Personal Description:
I am a professional tutor specialising in Philosophy & Religious Studies A levels. I have undergraduate and masters degrees in Philosophy.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored As and A2 students in AQA, EDEXCEL, OCR and WJEC exam boards.

I have tutored both Philosophy & Religious studies A Level for 4 years.

Tutoring Approach:

I achieve a good balance between bringing out the fun and interesting side of the curriculum while also keeping focused on the precise requirements for achieving high grades in exams.

I am very good at explaining exactly how to write an essay which picks up as many marks as possible. A level essay writing is a skill in itself which can be broken down into succinct elements.

Too often, teachers merely teach the content of the curriculum without showing students exactly how to work that content into a successful essay. I find the best way to inspire confidence is to first teach something and then explain exactly how a student might then write about it in an essay. By the time I finish teaching a topic, my students have a clear idea of how to write an essay on it.

I have a keen interest in the political and cultural issues that surrounded religion & philosophy in the world today. I find that drawing out the connections between academic ideas and the real world is invaluable for inspiring engagement and interest.

Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic, supportive and adaptable tutor with more than 5 years teaching experience.

After graduating with a Masters Degree in Drama and Theatre Studies I moved to South Korea to teach. I take great joy in teaching and have a great interest in many subjects and being able to instil a joy of learning in those I teach.

I understand the power of one to one tutoring in helping students succeed; whether in a subject they excel at or in areas they would like to improve. I am happy to tutor school-age pupils to help with their classroom work, as well as helping with exam preparation for GCSE's

Teaching Experience:

I have five years teaching experience; three and a half years teaching experience in South Korea and 18 months tutoring in the UK. In Korea I specialised in English, maths and science to students aged 5-16. I have taught in classrooms with 30+ students as well as in smaller groups and one to one tutoring. Since returning to the UK I have been tutoring one on one with a number of clients since September 2014 focussing on the core subjects of English, Maths and Science. I have both classroom and tutoring experience with students from primary to GCSE level and can tailor approaches and focus to match students' needs. I have experience working with students of varying levels and have consistently been able to help them to achieve their goals, with a strong set of results in the 2015 GCSE exams period.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe it's important to teach in an engaging and interesting way, getting to know my students so I am able to tailor lessons to suit them. I try to make the material I teach relevant to the student and approach the subject in a way that makes it accessible and relatable to them, and the things they enjoy. I think it is important to work through subject areas students are having difficulty with and then build on this to engage them fully in the subject, enabling students to understand the key concepts as well as the more universal approaches to learning.

I believe it is important to instil an interest in learning and try to approach the material I teach from a variety of different ways to ensure comprehension. Having access to a tutor should enable the student to improve their confidence and realise their own potential.
