Personal Description:
I'm an Optometry graduate from University of Manchester. As a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese, I was educated in English at school in Malaysia and I learnt my mother tongue since when I was little. In addition, I have acquired Malay language as my third language throughout my academic life. In my past A Levels examination, I gained A* in Mathematics, and A in both Biology and Chemistry. I believe my academic achievement makes me a good fit in tutoring the subjects above.

Teaching Experience:

Tutored in Chemistry and Biology A Level in the past three years. Actively involved in peer to peer tutoring programme in A Levels as a Chemistry tutor in college for 1 year.

Tutoring Approach:

I'm willing to go through past exam papers and exercises as for Maths, Chemistry and Biology with students should they don't understand them and wouldn't mind to go extra mile to prepare notes and useful study skills for the students. I reckon that tutoring in a friendly manner would enhance learning process instead of forcing the student to do as said. Also, I believe that learning to speak Mandarin Chinese is easier when a student works with a native speaker as this allows the student to learn the correct pronunciation quickly. This would also be a good starting point if you want to learn basic Chinese language.

Personal Description:
I am a professional and dedicated native English teacher with years of experience behind me.

Teaching Experience:

I have gained TEFL experience within varied teaching roles, both abroad and in the UK. In my previous roles I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults in companies, schools, and summer camps. I have taught General English, Business English, and exam classes to groups and one-to-one students in school and business environments. I also have experience of teaching students with dyslexia. This variety has enabled me to continually assess my style of teaching and keep me on my toes!

Working in such roles has given me crucial insight into the needs of the student. I am extremely patient and understand the frustration that can arise when learning, whether it is a new language or subject. I realise that people acquire knowledge through varied means so I am keen to adjust my teaching style to benefit my students.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe a mature, responsible, and eclectic teaching approach, as well as a good sense of humour, is crucial for a successful learning environment.

I offer a custom-made service, whether you need to improve your general English skills, your writing, or simply build your confidence. I also have years of experience in teaching Business English and Exam English (IELTS/FCE/CAE). Whatever you need help with, I am happy to focus my lessons on what you require.

I offer Skype lessons and professional proofreading for people who may not be able to meet face-to-face.

I am available to tutor at your home, workplace, or in a quiet cafe in Cambridge. I can also tutor in Central London.

Personal Description:
I have a very high level of mathematical understanding and very good explanation of the subject area. I am intuitive, passionate about the topics I study and aspire to become an investment banker in the near future. I have had internships at global banking corporations which has pushed me harder to succeed in life.

Teaching Experience:

I have had relative experience teaching students mostly at GCSE level preparing them for exams a few months prior. Currently I have a small group of students whom are getting ready for their assessments, therefore, I teach in groups. Also I have taught individual students in the past from primary through to the end of GCSEs. In the experience I have had teaching, my students have received minimum A grade in the past

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is all about positive reinforcement. I use mini games and different techniques to enhance and enjoy learning. I believe this helps students reach a higher level of knowledge and success. I am efficienct and practical in explaining problems and solutions due to time restrictions. Using a diverse range of structure and use of resources, the student will achieve a better grade than when they first started.

After teaching a certain topic I also provide a piece of homework to reinforce knowledge. There is continuous on going assessment so that I am aware which topics need more practice.

Personal Description:
Hi I'm Tom. I am 25 years of age and am a graduate from the University of Cambridge with a 2:1 degree in Natural Sciences in which I specialised in Chemistry and Mathematics.
Much like the 'supervision' style teaching of the University of Cambridge, I love to share my passion for problem solving with others on a one-to-one basis.
Outside of academia, my interests include Table Tennis and the Rubik's Cube.

Teaching Experience:

I have 3 years experience tutoring Mathematics and Chemistry at both GCSE and A-Level with students of all abilities.

Tutoring Approach:

I understand that there is no one-size-fits-all method of teaching, and that often there are many correct explanations and solutions to problems.
Each person is different, so if one approach fails we will try again from a different angle to ensure a clear and lasting understanding.
I will aim to work towards the syllabus but am also willing to deviate slightly if the tutee would benefit from a wider understanding of the subject.
I am patient and strive to instil real enthusiasm and confidence in the subject for each student.

Personal Description:
I was born in the Dominican Republic and my family moved to the USA as a young teen where I finished my High School and university education.
I have lived in many different places like Florida, Jamaica, Curacao, Suriname and now London.
I absolutely love to teach languages. It brings me great satisfaction to help my students learn to communicate in the language of their choice.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught EFL and Spanish for 12 years 1:1 and in groups at a corporate level. I have also taught High School Spanish and French in USA. I have tutored students in Spanish, English and French at all levels, for A levels, GCSE, business or pleasure with great success.

Tutoring Approach:

A teacher should be able to make his lessons dynamic and interactive, always engaging the student and learning about their learning style. In a group setting it is important to differentiate and in 1:1 lessons it is vital to tailor the lessons according to the needs of the student.

Personal Description:
I have recently graduated from Oxford University with a First Class Honours degree in MMath. Currently preparing for full time employment starting from September 2017, I am spending the year focusing on consolidating my skill sets as well as performing regularly with my musical ensembles.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored privately for 6 years now, teaching all levels between Secondary and University standard. I specialise in maths, but am happy to tutor in any of the subjects I have studied to the appropriate level. In spite of having personally achieved the highest possible grades in every public exam I have taken, my proudest achievement to date is passing on this record to every one of my tutees, up to and including a 7 at Higher Level IB Maths.

Tutoring Approach:

I feel it is important to find the way in which the tutee prefers to learn. From my own experience of schools, class teaching can be homogenised and lack the personal touch that is often required to catalyse the best results. My previous tutees have seen me as rigorous but sympathetic; not afraid to share a joke or two.

I am happy to work with you over Skype and email if distance means we are unable to meet face-to-face very often.

Tutoring Approach:

STANDING OUT FROM THE CROWD

What really sets me apart from other tutors is the underlying principle that the students I teach should only ever learn in a realistic, professional and contemporary context. My track record of excellence in learning and development has helped me to establish worldwide connections within the education market.

We focus exclusively on practice-based training and given students access to a virtual learning environment as soon as they accept a place with us. Students will also benefit from our pioneering and award winning programmes of study, which allow them to gain valuable work experience by helping real clients from the local community. Study with me and you`ll benefit from a proven and successful teaching methodology, delivered professionally with a focus on the knowledge and practical skills needed to be successful. These skills include problem solving, oral and written communication, team work and ethical conduct.
Students can expect a combination of workshops, case studies and one to one tuition. Because I work closely with employers I make sure that it`s all presented in a commercial context where you are taught to deliver client - focused advice. You`ll be given the opportunity to practice these skills in real-life scenarios and you`ll receive regular constructive feedback.
I can provide one-to-one ongoing support as well as advice on starting working life, regardless of discipline. I operate an open door policy so you can talk to me whenever you need to.
