Personal Description:
I am a Master of Arts graduate of Choreography and a Bachelor of Arts graduate of French language and literature. My mother tongue is greek but I am also a native speaker in english because I was born in Australia. I live in London and don't mind travelling within London. I am friendly, communicative and very outgoing so feel free to contact me for any tuitions :)

Teaching Experience:

Teaching is one of my favourite activities because it is a way to share my knowledge with young people and also with adults. I have been teaching various subjects since 2006 which include dance, french language, greek language and english language. I always have my classes organised to achieve the goals that my students have in a specific amount of time, not time-wasters please:) I am currently a Visiting Lecturer in Universities.

Tutoring Approach:

Tutoring for me must have a methodology and a structure. It always depends on the needs of the student, the goals and the time available. As long as you know your aim, we can work around it together.

Personal Description:
I left Hampton School in 2009 with 9 A*s and A's at GCSE and 4 A's at A-Level (this was before the A* grade was introduced). While a pupil there I combined my studies with the Philosophy Circle, made a short film raising awareness of human rights abuses in Burma, and took medals at numerous rowing events, including National Schools Head and National Schools Regatta

I left St Hugh's College, Oxford, in 2016 after seven years reading Classics. I focused on literature - Homer, Virgil, Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides and Juvenal among the more prominent names - but took in history, philosophy, art and archaeology as well.

While the Latin and Greek languages, inculcated by my grandmother's reading me myths in the nursery, remain my first love, I am as passionate about English. I've always thrilled at a meet, original turn of phrase; I've read for pleasure as far back as I can remember; and I learn a new poem by heart each Sunday. It is this enjoyment and relish of learning that informs my teaching and which I aim to pass on to my pupils.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching since before I can recall. My family could tell you that I'm never happier than when imparting some new fact to them. Formally, I began in the Sixth Form, assisting my teachers with their 11-13 year-old classes. There I learned quick, efficient and discreet one-to-one tuition.

Since September 2012 I have been tutoring GCSE students in Latin, Greek, English Literature and English as a foreign language. My tutees have included pupils who had fallen behind, pupils who transferred late into unfamiliar subjects, and (in my proudest example) a new arrival from Shanghai who could only slightly speak English. He passed his Englsh GCSEs nine months later.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to teach you the Oxford way: begin with a read aloud of a text, or ask for a brief summary of the topic studied for homework, and then discussion. My aim is to impart not only factual knowledge (the what) as understanding (the why). But if your son or daughter understands the blunt fact of Shakespeare's iambic pentameter or Virgil's dactylic hexameter, then specific examples of its effective use will come to them and *remain with them* all the easier. I'm particularly good at teaching the 'prescriptive' stuff, like metre and grammar, rigorously without being boring. Many years a student myself, I value patience, kindness and humour in my teachers, and I set these at the core of my teaching.

Personal Description:
I am a passionate teacher born and raised in Spain. I think everyone should be able to develop his/her skills, and this is why I decided to be a teacher. I have been teaching since I started my degree, as I find it really rewarding.

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified teacher and Spanish native speaker. I love to teach since I started my degree, and I have been doing that since then. I have worked as a Spanish teacher at the University of Oviedo (Spain) and in a High School in Spain as well.

At the same time, I helped people who could not afford official classes to pass DELE exams with success.
For this reason, I adapt every lesson to the needs of my students.

No matter if you need Spanish for children, beginner, intermediate, advanced, day-to-day conversational Spanish, etc. I can help you.

Tutoring Approach:

I use a wide range of different materials to help my students to approach to Spanish, since there is not only one way to speak it. I also prepare complete courses depending on your needs, I work with small groups or one to one, and I provide all the materials with no extra cost.

Your level will be assessed free of charge on the first session, so we can start at the most suitable point.

Personal Description:
I am a very calm and patient person, which has further developed through my teaching experience. I have a good sense of humour and am passionate about education, traits I feel are vital in teaching in order to build a trusting relationship where education and tutoring is valued among pupils.

I am available after 4pm on weekdays and any time at weekends, however during school holidays I can be available any time on both week days and weekends.

Teaching Experience:

- Studied Primary Education and Teaching at university, which included a number of placements within different Primary schools, including a specialist behaviour school.

- Self-organised placement at a Primary and Secondary Pupil Referral Unit.

- Teaching Assistant at a school in Richmond within year 4 for six months as maternity cover.

- Currently working as a maths teacher within a secondary Pupil Referral Unit in Basingstoke since May 2016, after acting as a teaching assistant there from January 2016. I work with pupils who have emotional or behavioural difficulties, helping to improve their attitudes to education and working with the school to re-integrate them into mainstream schools.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very flexible in my approach to teaching and tutoring others, adapting according to the pupil I am with. I think it is important to build strong, positive relationships with those I teach, establishing mutual respect and trust so that pupils feel confident in asking questions and discussing concepts in order to create a deeper understanding of a topic. In building these relationships I feel that I can gain a greater understanding of pupils and how they work best, contributing to more successful learning.

Personal Description:
My name is Chiara, I am 24 and I am Italian. I graduated from my hometown university (Universitą degli Studi di Palermo) in Classics and I was awarded my Master of Arts in Classics at the University of London (intercollegiate UCL, KCL, RHUL). I live in Guildford but I am willing to travel to London (not too far from Waterloo or easily reachable from there).
My relationship with Latin&Greek is a long one: I have studied these languages (and the cultures they belong to) for more than 10 years. My BA dissertation was in fact the first Italian edition of a group of philosophical Greek letters.
I have studied as well my mother language, Italian, at undergraduate level (literature and linguistics) and I am qualified, for the Italian system, to teach it.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored high school pupils and adults for three years while I was completing my BA. I am experienced in teaching Classical languages using the "grammatical method" as well as the "natural method". I have taught mostly languages and Classical literature, but I tutored as well a few adults willing to learn Italian as a second language.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a patient but firm tutor. I believe that most of the pupils are naturally curious and that their curiosity must be stimulated with a learning experience based on their own interests and in their own time. Even though grammar is not that fun, it is possible to explain it in a compelling way, that makes it not only more interesting but also easier to memorise.
I usually prepare before every lesson different exercises for all of my tutees, in order to challenge all their abilities in a certain subject before e.g. an exam.
