Personal Description:
I am an MBBS doctor and working at St Georges Medical University of London. I am a trained PBL / CBL tutor and conduct tutorials at this university. I have completed my Diploma in Proofreading from NCC college of learning and work as a proofreader aswell.

I am interested in teaching profession. I have almost seven year experience of private and online tuitions of Biology, Combined Science to the students of GCSE and GCE and Anatomy to the students of MBBS.

I am very passionate about teaching. My teaching techniques differ with students. I know how to help weak students by giving small assessments. However, I don't believe in passive Learning, I want my students to be Active learner. So, my lesson is not based on just explaining topics but, I make sure that students understand that and do some work their-self.

I do different kind of topic based activities which enhance student's confidence and they can write their answers in more depth. Moreover, revision sessions are the prime importance of my lesson. I do believe, if students act according to my suggestions, the way I guide them, they will get high scores.

Teaching Experience:

I teach Anatomy to MBBS and Biomedical Science students at St. George's University of London since 2008.

I have taught Biology to GCSE and College level students in groups and individuals. From 1997-continue. I am aware of all exam board (AQA, OCR & EDEXCEL)

I do Problem and Case base learning at St Georges University of London (First, Second & T year)

I have taught Biology to AS/A2 level student in May-June 2009 - continue

I have taught Pediatrics, Obstetrics to a student of imperial college through face to face in 2009- continue.

I have good experience of teaching and supervising OSCE and have taught this to student of st Georges University of London in Feb-June 2009.

I have taught Pathology to a student of US Via correspondence in 2009.

I have interest & experience of teaching in the following areas;
GCSE, AS / A2 (GCE) levels, Physical Education (Academic side) & IB:
Biology
Combined Science
Applied Science

MBBS, Nursing, and Physiotherapy Degree Levels:
Medicine
Gynecology /Obstetrics
Pediatrics
Anatomy
Pathology
Physiology
Microbiology
Pharmacology
Forensics

Tutoring Approach:

As a tutor I elicit response that demonstrates understanding. During teaching I create the space for students to learn. For Instance, the art of my teaching is to ask students to demonstrate what they already know about the topic because it helps students in building their understanding based on their knowledge.

I can teach either face to face or through correspondence and I give students time to learn at their own pace. I always ensure that students have displayed their understandings to me. I am approachable and friendly so students can pay attention and feel they can ask question.

In addition, I also provide small assessments to assess the outcome of my teaching and student's understanding and their performance

I help my students in several forms. The most common of which are:
Preparing Notes and Handouts
Preparing Model Answers
Marking Work
Providing Mcqs for degree students
Helping in course work

I am a fully qualified experienced Spanish native teacher. I consider myself patient, honest, friendly, creative ,loving and responsible at work. I enjoy teaching Spanish and English language and at the same time my students enjoy learning the language.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching languages as a private tutor at home and at schools for 12 years so i have experience in the role.
Currently,i am living in UK and i work as a private language teacher-translator at home and at private homes.

Tutoring Approach:

My method is easy, direct, creative and fast. I focus on conversation and grammar-( how to create sentences to be able to speak and write faster and correctly -oral, listening, comprehension and repetition).

Every language is logic and as babies, the mechanism is to repeat sentences to understand them and memorize them . We can start speaking quick and without mistakes, once we understand the structure of the sentence: -verb tenses, how to create sentences, vocabulary, in writing and speaking , oral, listening and repetition-, in a funny way so the students ,enjoy learning the language and at the same time they learn it faster.

Try a free lesson and see how i work.

Personal Description:
I am currently an actor at the Central School of Speech and Drama, having already studied Modern Languages (French and Spanish) at the University of Durham which included time living and studying in Vigo (Spain) and Clermont-Ferrand (France).

Teaching Experience:

Following completion of my CELTA qualification in Spain in 2007 (which involved teaching adult learners of English), I have variety of experience in teaching from helping fellow students at University, teaching English in a French Lyce and at summer school in the UK.

Tutoring Approach:

The important part of tutoring is creating a more individual approach to learning and the subject or subjects. I feel it is important to discover what about the subject interests the tutee or how we can hook the topic to the individual so that you feel the desire to learn more about the subject of your own accord. It is important that learning is fun and not a chore and so, as well as thoroughly working towards any coming assessments, I like to work around the subject to find what it is about the subject is important to you so that the learning becomes grounded in the individual which gives a deeper knowledge and understanding of the subject.

Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic, friendly and responsible individual who is able to extremely effectively with both children, young people and adults.I possess the ability to handle challenging and diverse situations with patience and sensitivity, whilst maintaining a fun atmosphere. I am also highly organised and have excellent time-keeping skills. My voluntary experiences in challenging primary and secondary schools, which include both work in the classroom and participating as an after-school club leader, have cemented the passion and dedication I have for watching people blossom and succeed through learning.

My strengths lie in teaching English, both the language and literature aspects of the subject, and this is reflected in my choice of degree.

Teaching Experience:

During my time at Cardiff University, I volunteered extensively at local schools, and gained a Millennium Volunteers qualification in recognition of my sustained commitment to the community.Below is a list of volunteer work I undertook:

December 2009-March 2010
Pyramid Club Leader, Bryn Hafod Primary School, Cardiff

Responsibilities: Planning and executing activities such as sports, games and arts and crafts with a group of roughly ten Year Three students in order to boost their self-confidence over a period of ten weeks. Interacting with children who have problems with their self-esteem, and improving their social skills and relationships with peers.

October 2009-May 2010
Llanederyn Phonics Programme Volunteer, Llanedeyrn High School, Cardiff

Responsibilities: Undertaking a weekly Phonological Awareness Programme with a small group of Year Seven students in order to improve their spelling skills. Many of the multicultural students had English as an additional language, and thus needed the extra support in order to improve across the curriculum.

September 2010-June 2011
Llanrumney High Read Readers Project Coordinator and Volunteer, Cardiff

Responsibilities: Coordinating twenty volunteers, organising their yearly volunteering timetable, dealing with any queries or problems the volunteers may have in liaison with teachers at the school. I also volunteered on the project, which involved reading with a group of Year Seven students once a week in order to improve their reading, spelling and comprehension skills.

Tutoring Approach:

I am flexible and willing to travel, as well as tutor at my own home.

Personal Description:
My name is Ahmed and I enjoy teaching. This is why I've chosen this profession which allows me to deal with people from different background, understand their needs and take a challenge of helping them. The most important thing for me is seeing my student's satisfaction and I feel honoured when my students leave the session with some sort of learning.
I'm patient (as this is one of the important tools in order to be a successful teacher), friendly, and make sure to keep a rapport among my students. I feel it is important as a teacher to make your student believe that you are his mentor as a tutor/teacher and you are there to help him/her to get the best out of his/her personality.
I'm pleased to mention that I've been chosen as one of the best teachers in my school during the 2011-12 academic year, which is definitely an achievement for me as a teacher.

Teaching Experience:

I've been teaching for 7 years. I completed degree from City University London in 2006 as a Software Engineer and then went on doing a few teacher training courses such as CELTA from International House London (direct partners of Cambridge University) and TESOL from ITTT. I've experience of teaching KS3, KS4, KS5, university, and mature students. Currently I'm working for one of the renowned high school in Ealing.
I've been teaching English, ICT and Urdu. I also worked in Hong Kong for a few years as a teacher and that surely helped me to understand the needs of a student from different perspective.
I am doing my PGCE from University of London (Institute of Education)

Tutoring Approach:

I used different approaches for different subjects. For English I tend to use task based approach - CELTA strategy. I believe this can be implemented in different subjects as well such as Urdu and ICT/Computing. For ICT/Computing, which is more of a computing now really - I engaged students to make them understand computational thinking, and make them understand the computer logic. Moreover, I've been teaching ICT/IT/Computing to KS3, KS4 (GCSE), KS5, and university students.

Personal Description:
I'm a second year law student at Oxford Brookes University. When I'm not married to the library or volunteering with Citizen's Advice, I like spend my time with my housemates and best friends, a few drinks and a decent movie.
I'm dedicated to my studies and training to be a lawyer, so helping people out by sharing my knowledge is going to form a large part of what I do for a living, which is why I want to do exactly that by tutoring alongside my studies.

Teaching Experience:

I don't have any formal teaching experience. However, my friends and family are always coming to me with questions about the law and politics, and they seem satisfied with the answers. I also spend a fair amount of time helping other students on the course, by explaining concepts that they don't understand, or giving them tips on where and how to find out for themselves.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is flexible. I understand that some people are better at learning raw facts, while others are better at understanding abstract concepts; some people are better at understanding something that's been explained verbally, while others gain a stronger understanding through visual aids.
The approach I take is to attempt to understand the strengths of the person in front of me, and then explain the concepts in a way that plays to those strengths. I am patient, open, and always focussed on assisting understanding, rather than lecturing.
Once I'm sure that a student understands the concepts, I will give then a chance to demonstrate that by means of some sort of exercise. This will enable me to identify any remaining gaps, and also reinforces a student's understanding.

I am available for face-to-face tuition everywhere within the Oxford Ring Road, and for tuition online. Email or call me for details!
It's essential for me to know ahead of time what topic the lesson will be on so I can prepare a lesson plan and exercises. Again, call or email for further details!

Personal Description:
Hello there, I'm Ali. I am an enthusiastic, interesting and interested graduate from the University of Bristol. I am passionate about the knowledge that I have and all that I learn; I hope to soon become a qualified teacher.

I have a degree in maths and physics (during which I spend a year studying physics in France) and a Masters in the history and philosophy of science, also from Bristol. I really know how to get people interested and thinking about these subjects.

Having lived in Luxembourg and France, I am fluent in French (in addition to English).

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored children from the ages of 11-16 with good results.

Tutoring Approach:

Tutoring is the perfect setting to get to know the student and understand the methods that work best for them. The subjects that I teach are often ones in which children struggle for a number of reasons. Due to the nature of science related subjects, if a student falls behind or fails to understand a key concept, it is often difficult to catch up again. Another issue may be that the student is not sufficiently interested in the subject; I am engaging and can inject fun and interesting examples into the equation.

Personal Description:
I am a Freelance Artist and Arts Tutor whose personal practice specialises in Fine Art Painting. I have a wide range of knowledge in arts and crafts skills and facilitate workshops to both children and adults across Aberdeen City. I am a friendly and personable individual and enjoy meeting and working with new people.

Teaching Experience:

For the last 3 years I have worked as a Freelance Arts Tutor for Aberdeen City Council delivering workshops and events in Community Centres and Schools across the city. The role requires working with a wide range of ages and abilities and I work with each individual to help them achieve their full potential.

I also often work for Grampian Hospitals Arts Trust delivering sessions to Orthopaedic, Neurological and Stroke Rehabilitation patients. I enjoy these sessions a lot, I meet so many different types of people and the work is very rewarding.

For the last year I have been the Artist in Residence for the Painting department at Gray's School of Art. In this role I acted as a mentor and technician for students studying on the course. In this position I advised students as to future career choices and helped tutors with the day to day running of the course and curriculum.

Tutoring Approach:

I have quite a laid back and informal approach to teaching. I believe that creativity thrives best with a certain balance between freedom and encouragement when necessary. Creativity thrives outside of a formal class room environment and I try to work on this basis. I always encourage group discussion and reviewing of work as I think it helps every individual to progress in a positive way. I work with each individual to encourage confidence and knowledge in their chosen subject.
