Personal Description:
I have a degree in English Literature from the University of East Anglia where I also studied Creative Writing.

I am a freelance writer (mostly book reviews and articles on literature for the Guardian) and in 2013 I had my first book published by Transworld: Dedicated to... (a collection of found book-inscriptions which received some very nice national press).

I am currently writing my debut novel.

Teaching Experience:

I began tutoring in 2014. Subjects taught so far have included Shakespeare (Macbeth) and Browning's Porphyria's Lover. (References available on demand). I have a good knowledge of literature and am able to research topics thoroughly and quickly.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe literature is best taught with enthusiasm, thereby making it accessable and less intimidating. Once a basic understanding of the work has been achieved it is easier to explore the more complex themes such as character, imagery, dramatic arc, etc.

Personal Description:
My name is Marco, during the past twelve years, I have taught the Italian language in England and abroad.
My professional experience has regarded various subjects, among which:
- pedagogic investigation about the foreign language teaching;
- foreign language teaching coordination;
- writing of didactic syllabi and curricula;
- assessment principles and criteria;
- organization of workshops, conferences, public lectures and roundtables with teachers, heads of schools, deans of universities to enhance the presence of the Italian language teaching in Guatemala among schools and private and State funded Universities;
- implementations in the MFL Italian language syllabus in order to improve the didactic offer;
- organisation of training courses for the CELI exam of the Universitą per Stranieri di Perugia;
- training of English students to take the GCSE and A-Level in Italian;
- creation of strategic networks among various educational partners both locally and internationally for the provision of scholarships for students and teachers in need;

I am graduate in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University Ca' Foscari of Venice and I possess the ITALS Master's Degree in Teaching and promotion of the Italian language and culture to foreigners.

At December 2007 I graduated with success from the ITALS M. A. Degree in Teaching and Promotion of Italian Language and Culture of the University Ca' Foscari of Venice. The topic of my dissertation was linked to how organize an MFL interactive teaching unit in a class composed of students with different abilities.
At the end of May 2008 I published Mosaico Italia, a book on Italian Language and Culture that can be used with students with an Intermediate level of Italian (level B1 of the Common European Reference for Languages). This book aims to provide a didactic instrument to investigateItalian reality.

I added to my knowledge gained 'in the field' by taking the Master's Degree in Education at Birkbeck, University of London, graduating in November 2011 with Distinction. Success on this program entailed my being able to integrate effectively concrete work experience with theoretical knowledge in such a way that I deepened my analytical skills, overall.

Teaching Experience:

My professional experience has regarded various subjects, among which:
- pedagogic investigation about the foreign language teaching;
- foreign language teaching coordination;
- writing of didactic syllabi and curricula;
- assessment principles and criteria;
- implementations in the MFL Italian language syllabus in order to improve the didactic offer;
- organisation of training courses for the CELI exam of the Universitą per Stranieri di Perugia;
- training of English students to take the GCSE and A-Level in Italian;

Tutoring Approach:

think I am able to enhance the skills of low performing students by individualizing teaching methods and processes. My teaching style focuses very much on the outcomes my students wish to achieve by improving their Italian, be they grammatical, written or conversational. I am dedicated to helping my students learn and improve their Italian in an atmosphere that encourages interaction, listening, feedback and empathy. Above all, I like to make the process of learning Italian a fun experience that enriches my students' personal and professional lives through a sense of achievement.
The teaching techniques, which could be useful in a Foreign Language Tuition, are those in which communication between the tutor and the student is always is promoted. In this regard, mutual interaction and collaboration lead to a more natural learning of the language. This process follows a teaching method where the humanist-affective approach is used to practice the basic and integrated linguistic abilities while learning a foreign language.

Personal Description:
I am bilingual in French and English and I have always been interested in foreign language teaching. I am open-minded and can easily build a rapport with students of all ages and backgrounds. I am very sociable and interested in others' points of views. I like discussing about various subjects and opinions. I can be friendly as much as strict when the situation requires it.

I think the cultural aspect of a language is very important and I always make sure the learner understands the context well. Personal Description:
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher working in an Outstanding Primary school. I have gained a first class honours degree and PGCE from St. Mary's University in Twickenham.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently teaching in KS2 however, I have teaching experience of all ages from Reception to Year 6. I have been tutoring part time for 5 years and am very experienced in tailoring lessons to suit the needs of the tutee.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that it is important to tailor the sessions to suit the strengths of each tutee. Basing lessons around engaging and enjoyable topics will help to approach areas of Maths and English the tutee finds most difficult.
No two sessions are the same and I use a range of resources to get the best results and improvement over a period of sessions.

Tuition sessions should be fun and engaging to ensure that the tutee is fully engaged for the session - ultimately leading to progress and better understanding.

Personal Description:
A resident of Edinburgh for the past twelve years I enjoy meeting new people and learning new things myself. I am fairly well travelled, enjoy the arts and have a passion for working alongside others to help them achieve their goals.

I am a professional actor with degree level qualifications in both Philosophy (Dundee University) and Acting (Queen Margaret University College).

Teaching Experience:

I have worked with adults in improving spoken and written English for UK degree entry level. I have also worked with college and university students in the Middle East (UAE) to train science and drama education in both Arabic and English.

For several years I have visited schools in both the public and private sectors delivering reading, drama and science communication classes.

I have regularly taught 5-15 years drama in private classes and enjoy working with pre-drama school entrants of all ages in working on giving the best entrance audition possible.

Tutoring Approach:

I am confident at creating a structured approach that works with a pupil's own strengths and needs to provide a tailor-made package for learning.

Ideally I meet with each student to discuss their learning needs, current level and expected outcomes.

Although it is important to push the boundaries of learning, it should always be a workload that is both manageable and individually tailored.

People learn best when they are enjoying themselves, so I try my best to make learning fun and interactive.

Personal Description:
I am currently studying for my PGCE for teaching secondary English so as of this summer I will be a qualified teacher, on top of my degree. After achieving an AAB in my A levels in English Literature, Religious Studies and Music, I went to Lancaster University (a top ten university in U.K) where I studied BA(Hons) English Literature and Creative Writing. I am a highly professional, approachable and friendly tutor, with a large variety of experiences. I also have my Grade 8 in piano, Grade 6 in violin and Grade 5 music theory from LCM. I have a TEFL certificate, and experience teaching English to those who do not have it as a first language. I have excellent German, having lived and worked in Switzerland. I have also studied Religious Studies up to my first year of university, where I completed it as a minor subject. I am recently fully security checked, and have a full U.K Driving Licence and my own car. I am willing and able to drive to you.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked as an English and Drama teacher in two secondary schools in the local area this year during my training, planning and teaching creative and engaging lessons, as well as marking assessments and managing behaviour. I have been a working tutor since the summer of 2010, where I taught English as a second language to Spanish children in Barcelona. I continued to work there for two more summers with the same group. Since 2013, I have been working as an English Tutor in the local area here, teaching a range of age groups, and helping with a variety of areas, with immediate improvement and results. I also taught a choir of 11-14 year olds while I was studying my A Levels.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring has always been one of kindness, humour and encouragement. Children will not want to learn from someone who they fear but rather from someone they respect and like. This is what my aim is. I like to establish rapport with whoever I am tutoring, and have an open questioning policy where they are free to ask me anything about the subject that they are confused or alarmed about. In my class plans, there are a lot of useful games and activities to try and help the understanding of certain topics. As well as making classes fun, though, I aim to actively practice testing at the correct level in order to monitor issues and improvements. I also set a short homework on a different topic each week and provide progress reports at the end of each month.
