Personal Description:
As an individual with an analytical, accurate and logical approach I balanced with a sound ability to communicate effectively and convincingly with people. I listen to patiently and objectively and I am able to comprehend and deal with issues thoroughly and fairly.

I enjoy to meet and greeting people and share my ideas and knowledge to others. I am member of a local youth club where many young people gather and I work and play with them and share my knowledge and ideas with them. Some of them are school leaver and some of them still go to school and colleges. Sometime they ask me questions and sometimes they seek help and support from me while I meet with them. If they have any problem or issues regarding education or career, I help them best of my ability. This helps me to build me a good relation with people from different background and culture.

During my time as a student, I have had a variety of part-time and vacation jobs, all of which have required me to work as part of a team and to deal directly with the public. I found my work on the Customer Service Desk at Tesco's and ICTS particularly valuable in teaching me the important of ascertaining peoples' needs and providing clear and accurate information in response to those needs.

I am IT literate as I have good computer skills and am proficient in Ms-Word, Ms-Excel, PowerPoint, and Ms -Access, Internet and Email packages and Accounting Software Sage Line 50 and Sage lane Payroll

Being able to speak four different languages (English, Hindi, Urdu and Bengali) eases communication, which for me plays a very important role in everyday life. I feel that my communication skills helped me to deal with a range of different people in a positive manner.

I am a keen sportsman, especially enjoying playing tennis, football and bowling. This has allowed me to develop my organisational skills in managing and working as part of a team.

I am part of ACCA qualified and looking forward to be fully qualified. By studying ACCA and by completed master degree with teaching experience is giving me enough knowledge and idea to teach any level and any relevant subjects.

I am a tutor for the tutoring agency Blue Tutors and I have more than 800 hours experience tutoring privately. I am an 18 year old student from Birmingham and I am currently studying Rehabilitation Engineering at Coventry University.

Teaching Experience:

I have more than 800 hours experience tutoring, mainly 11+ and Maths and Science at GCSE. I have a good knowledge of exam technique (time management, checking of answers etc.) which helps me to improve the way the candidate tackles the exam as well as the different questions.

Tutoring Approach:

From experience I have realised that the only way to grasp some topics is by going over them many times. I am very patient and try to put complicated topics into the simplest form possible, by putting them into contexts anyone can understand.

Personal Description:
I am an Economics graduate from Liverpool University and currently teach in a good secondary school as well as running my own business. Prior to teaching I worked in business for 10 years. I live in Bristol, am married with 3 young children and I am passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching Economics and Business Studies in state schools for 8 years. I have taught both A Level and GCSE students. My students have consistently over-performed - for example over 75% of Economics students have achieved A*-B in every year I have taught. In the recent June 2013 A2 exams, 91% Year 13 Economics students achieved A*-B. As well as teaching larger groups of students, I have also helped many on a one-to-one basis, providing significant added-value and a marked improvement in their performance. All students I tutored in 2013 improved at least one grade since I started working with them, with several improving by 3 or more grades. For example, one recent A2 Economics student went from a grade D overall in January to achieving a final grade B by June, whilst another A2 student went from a grade B to a grade A and achieved 100% on an AS resit paper. I am an experienced Economics examiner and am familiar with all the major exam boards. I can supply references on request and I have a current CRB.

Tutoring Approach:

I will always begin by discussing my tutee's individual requirements and areas of the syllabus they would like to focus on. Once these have been established, I usually start with a return to basics, teaching economic or business theory that may not have been fully understood by the student. Once they are comfortable with the concepts, I will look to build in higher order analytical and evaluation skills as well as providing real world examples. I will use a variety of teaching methods to stretch students, backed up with exam technique by practising past papers. I am happy to teach face to face for local students, however I often teach online via Skype, using a whiteboard facility, which my students can also access. This makes the sessions as interactive as meeting face to face and it also means I can tutor students who don't live in Bristol. I always encourage students to provide feedback so that they receive maximum benefit from their teaching.

Below are some testimonials from current and recent students:

"Ian is an incredible tutor, who can prepare you not only for the Economics lessons, but also for the A Level exam. Before came to him, I struggled to understand Economics and was predicted a C. However, Ian helped me to understand all the economic concepts and theories, using up to date examples and YouTube videos and I achieved a grade A at AS level. Half of the lessons I had were via Skype since I was abroad that time. That's why I would especially recommend Ian for those students, who don't have the opportunity to come to his home. On the whole Ian is a brilliant Economics teacher, who will definitely help you to succeed in the subject" Miss B - Bristol and Russia

"Ian is a friendly and helpful tutor. He is punctual for his lessons and flexible with his timings. My son retook his EC2 paper in January 2013 and secured 100% after getting tutored from Ian. This is an improvement from a grade B prior to Ian's tutoring. Ian helped my son tremendously in his exam technique and boosted my son's confidence in the subject and the ways to approach his exams. My son was able to achieve 100% only because of Ian's teaching and from his dedicated effort. I would easily recommend Ian to anyone needing a tutor." Mrs D - Swansea

"Ian started tutoring me in late September and since then my Economics results have improved and I achieved an A grade in my final A2 exams. I have found Ian a very helpful tutor who is more than willing to go through my questions. We go through essays and past paper questions which aid my understanding and confidence in Economics topics. Ian taught me online and I found that Skype was highly convenient in allowing me to not have to travel to Ian" Mr B - Chepstow

"I contacted Ian since I felt that I needed help in understanding the context and concepts involved. Ian style of working was particularly effective. He helped me to improve my understanding of the subject matter by logical explanation and by building from basic principles to a more sophisticated awareness of the subject. Ian was always very patient and sympathetic to my learning needs. He was well prepared for our sessions, and always set me work to do independently as well. As a result of Ian's support I feel that my capability in Economics increased significantly. When I started working with Ian I was achieving at around a grade C. As a result of Ian's support I achieved an overall grade B at AS, the actual grades for the 2 papers were an A and a B. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Ian and would happily recommend Ian as a tutor for Economics. I will be continuing to have him as a tutor through my A2 course" Miss B - Redland, Bristol

"Ian has tutored my son in Economics on a one to one basis in preparation for the recent AS exams. My son was struggling with the subject at the beginning of the year, gaining an E grade in his Mock exam in January. With Ian's help his confidence improved and he was delighted to attain a B grade this summer. Ian's approach was personalised and intensive and my son's needs were concentrated on fully. He was always punctual and reliable and struck up a good relationship with our family. My son is now looking forward to completing his A2 Economics course and we will continue to use Ian's services throughout this year. I would gladly recommend him" Mrs W - Redland, Bristol

Personal Description:
I am a 23 year old undergraduate student at the University of Bath and studying for a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Science. I am available for tutoring on all weekday evenings and all day weekends during academic term time.

I plan to become a teacher in Mathematics and Computing after I graduate, as I love teaching and wish to give back to my community as much as possible throughout my lifetime. I feel that a good education is the second most important thing a child can have after a loving family.

My relatively young age means I tend to bond well with teenage tutees, I often share several common interests and in my opinion, this initial connection is important for breaking the ice, which leads to a successful tutor and tutee relationship.

Teaching Experience:

For four years I used Applied Behaviour Analysis to teach an autistic child correct speech, spelling, numeracy and other early developmental skills. I recorded academic and behavioural improvements. I have also done voluntary GCSE tutoring with family friends.

Tutoring Approach:

I approach tutoring in a logical and systematic way. It is important to set milestones and track progress. In this way we can directly see evidence of an increase in understanding and ability. Each session I read through a textbook subject area with the tutee, and then work through a set of questions. The first few we will do together, and after that I will give guidance where it is needed. Finally I can set further questions to be done outside of tuition time, which I can mark to help track progress and identify weak points that need further addressing.

Personal Description:
My name is Andy. I finished my A-Levels in 2011 and am preparing to study German and Russian at The University of Cambridge starting in October. I excelled at languages in school, receiving an A* in German A2 and an A in French AS. Between school and university I studied at the Goethe Institute in Berlin, lived and worked in Germany for over half a year, and am now starting to learn Russian and pusuing my other interests such as computer programming. I have also travelled extensively in France and Germany.

Teaching Experience:

I have no formal teaching experience (yet!) but learning three foreign languages myself and having studied German in a class actually taught in German, I am very familiar with the aspects of language that students have difficulty with. I am always thinking of better ways to explain things than the way they were explained to me, because every student learns in their own way; this makes me well placed to teach languages, German in particular due to my recent experiences in my gap year.

Tutoring Approach:

Having only recently completed my German GCSE myself (in 2009), I am familiar with the way it is taught in school. I also had lessons from a private tutor myself in German for a year or so during secondary school, so I know the sorts of things that will complement and expand on the material taught in class.

Personal Description:
I am a fully qualified language teacher with a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages (Italian and French), a university degree in French and English and AS and A2 (grade A) in Spanish. I am an Italian native speaker but also fluent in Spanish and French with seven years' teaching experience in both secondary, Sixth Form and primary education. My students have achieved excellent results.

My aim has always been to inspire, motivate and support my students to work to the best of their abilities, to gain the linguistic skills they need and to achieve the best grades they can and whenever possible to exceed them. In addition to this, the cultural element of teaching languages to my students has always been a key element of the courses I have taught.

During my teaching career in state schools, probably one of the most rewarding aspects, apart from the actual exam results, has been to receive students' positive feedback, sometimes from the ones who were initially the least motivated but who in the end became interested and sometimes even passionate about learning a foreign language.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught Italian to students of all levels (primary, secondary, GCSEs, A Levels and IB) for 6 years, French and Spanish to primary and secondary school students and Spanish to GCSE students. I have taught Edexcel Italian to both GCSE and A Levels.

Before working as a teacher in Secondary, Sixth Form and Primary education, I tutored students of different levels and backgrounds including business tutees. Recently, I also tutored a student preparing for the IB Ab Initio Italian exam.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is patient, helpful, flexible and friendly but professional. My aim is for my students to feel confident and comfortable when learning a foreign language. I always tailor my lessons according to my tutees' needs and interests. I will establish the areas on which you wish to focus, then prepare thorough resources. I will also support with tasks which are set by your school.

For more than one person and for a set of lessons booked and paid for in advance I can offer reduced rates.

Teaching Experience:

I started out by taking part in a 2 year mentoring program in my school where I was assigned to special needs students to guide them through their studies during class as well as homework. I have also done private tutorial sessions with GCSE and A Level students in which many of them have achieved higher grades than aimed for.
In addition, I have achieved Level 2 in the 'Community Sports Leadership Award' and I am currently studying the 'Introduction to Secondary Teaching' module as part of my university course.

Tutoring Approach:

I tailor-make the tutorial sessions to the individual's requirements and I focus on them practicing exam technique, whilst also allowing them to think for themselves to gain a better understanding of the topic. I prepare for each session with work for the tutee to progress ahead with and often set a few exercises to practice on their own for the next session. If they require any help with issues that they come across in-between sessions, I am always happy to address them over the phone and in the next scheduled meeting.
As a fellow student, I understand the satisfaction gained from successfully grasping a certain topic and achieving the targeted grade. I take great pleasure in teaching a motivated learner.
