Personal Description:
I am originally from Ecuador, South America and have gained proficient languages skills in both Spanish and English. Although I have been living in the UK for a number of years, I have kept in touch with my roots and culture. I am currently entering my final year at Aston University reading Business Administration and Spanish. Having been back from holiday in Ecuador and Mexico, I can say I have sharpened up my spanish skills and am ready to embark on teaching and sharing knowledge with anyone willing to learn.

Teaching Experience:

Interpreter and Translator.
The translation of various kinds of documents has helped me develop professional translation skills. I was able to prove my capability of expressing ideas clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Very good interpersonal and communication skills gained by interpreting at official occasions and on sensitive topics (e.g. hospital visits, court, Citizens Advice Bureau).

Tutoring Approach:

Being a student myself I feel I can relate much more to people currently undergoing education too. I am a very approachable person which means I can teach anyone eager to learn. Learning is matched up the the needs of the student, with speaking and grammer forming a great part of the teaching. Listening and reading will be implemented accordingly in each lesson. 4 elements vital to learning a language.I believe that practice makes perfect and with constant support and guidance, I am sure anyone is able to take on board a new language, being beginner or advance level. I am a very creative and interactive person that will encourage students new techniques of learning.

I have PhD and Master Degrees in Mathematics.

Teaching Experience:

I have 6 years of experience teaching mathematics at University Level as well as tutoring at GCSE and University Levels. I have worked for one academic year at Dortmund University in Germany and taught at University Level.

During our lessons I am trying to communicate with pupil in order to be sure that they can properly understand that topic.

And finally I am always patient to the students because I think that patience is vital for successful teaching.

Personal Description:
I'm Seb and I'm currently in my third year at Oxford University studying economics and management. Although economics is my current area of study, my academic interests cover a range of subjects including maths, biology, english and spanish. In conjunction with the relevant academic experience I also have a lot of experience in junior sports coaching, which has enabled me to work with and learn how to motivate young people.

Teaching Experience:

The majority of my tutoring experience has been in economics and maths, covering a number of tutees of different ages and abilities, whether its young tutees struggling with maths or economics students trying to improve exam grades. My most recent economics tutee went from a U grade to a B in one module and got an A in his final module after just a few weeks of tutoring sessions. My academic interests are diverse and I am also able to tutor biology and english. No matter a tutee's ability or age, I am willing to help.
I have also worked with several students to prepare them for university application and interview process

Tutoring Approach:

As a young tutor, my knowledge of the school system and university application is both extensive and very up-to-date. The school environment is not always conducive to learning as individuals all learn in different ways; hence generic teaching can be detrimental to certain individuals. I aim to firstly establish the way in which my tutees like to be taught before going on to explore the key concepts. Having built a solid foundation, I listen to feedback from the tutee as to the particular areas they want to focus on and work extensively to build on both their understanding and technique for exams.

Personal Description:
I have lived and worked all over the UK, from Glasgow (where I am from) to Cambridge (where I studied) to London, where I worked in the City, and now in the North-East, where I trained to be a Maths teacher. I am dedicated to teaching Maths and I am passionate about helping young people to enjoy and achieve success in this extremely important subject.

Teaching Experience:

I have been successfully teaching Maths in secondary school for three years, and am in a leadership position in my Department with responsibility for Key Stage 3. I have experience of teaching to a range of maths schemes and exam boards and have taught GCSE Maths at both Foundation and Higher tiers. I have successfully taught a wide range of abilities from the very top set to the bottom set and have helped pupils of all abilities to achieve and often exceed their target grade and increase their confidence in their abilities in Maths. I have worked with all kinds of pupils from all kinds of backgrounds and I can recognise and adapt to any specific needs that a child may have to help them learn successfully.

Tutoring Approach:

I begin by assessing pupils' current understanding of Maths and then target those areas where there are gaps in understanding. I always leave optional work for the pupil to complete, which would be checked at the beginning of the next session. For GCSE pupils, I include previous exam questions in my sessions. I use a variety of resources, including booklets made up of previous exam questions on different topics which are very effective at boosting pupils' grades in GCSE exams. I have found that some of my other resources such as loop cards or tarsia jigsaw puzzles can help pupils who find Maths difficult or boring to enjoy it more and become more confident in their ability.

I can offer one off revision sessions or short revision courses (2 or 3 weeks) in the run up to exams. I can also offer sessions for more than one pupil if they would prefer to receive tuition with a friend. I can usually tailor the tuition to suit most needs.

Personal Description:
I am an 18 year old student in Banbury currently in my summer holiday before going to university in October. I have always loved Maths and Physics and I have a reputation around my school for helping schoolmates with Maths problems. I am very flexible and I can provide my own transport. I am an A* student and really enjoy Maths and Physics, and I hope my passion is passed on to whomever I teach. I recently finished my A-level Maths and Physics and received A* grades and so the syllabus is very fresh in my mind. To add, I tutored my younger sister in GCSE Maths this year, and so I am also very familiar with GCSE Maths. I feel also that there is a small age gap between me and my students, which helps keep a relaxed and cool environment. I would love to have the opportunity to tutor whoever needs me.

Teaching Experience:

I constantly tutor my peers in A-level maths. During my A-levels I ran a Maths workshop for Year 9 students and I am very familiar with the content of Maths and Physics at GCSE and A-level. I recently tutored my sister as well as provided help with Maths to her friends. To add, I gave guitar classes for a year which helped me develop how to structure lessons and teach in a one on one situation.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is that I have to be as flexible as possible. I am very patient and adaptable, I believe the best way to teach is to find out the needs of the student first. I also like to be very relaxed when I teach, and I will happily go over any hazy bits as many times as is needed. I know that one on one tutoring can make a big difference because it clears up all the bits and pieces that aren't covered well in class and therefore provides a more solid understanding of concepts that take a while to get your head around.
