Tutoring Approach:

Therefore I do lots of practice questions and exam focused topics. I have study resources from where I choose material according to students' learning requirements. Main objective is to enable students to apply the theoretical concepts learnt from their academic studies to practical business environment. Normally I start from very basic easy examples and then gradually go towards complex exam questions, so that students get the confidence that they will pass the exams. I also provide online tuition, using shared documents and skype or phones. I send my own study material to students via e mail, communicate with them on skype or phone, they send me their questions or past papers, i solve them and send them scanned solutions, then explain on skype. I always teach my students in a very friendly environment. I tell my students take exams like a tournament and think they are the players, and I m their coach, together we have to make a strategy, a plan to win the game (exam :). I keep motivating my students by telling them you can do it . Champion Attitude : Lets Do IT.

Personal Description:
Hello,

I am a Biomedical Sciences graduate and am currently studying at Imperial College London for my Masters in Reproductive and Developmental Biology with the hopes of starting my PhD next year.

I live in Hertfordshire but commute, by driving, daily to Hammersmith Hospital to study.

I am the oldest of 3, with my youngest sibling being 11 years.

I am very approachable, enthusiastic with a love for my subject. Ideally I would suit a child in their GCSE's or A Levels who needs support with information which is out of grasp for parents.

Teaching Experience:

Tutoring children locally; family and friends.

This summer I worked at a residential for children aged 13 - 17 years.

And, I have run a group on Fridays for children on/off for 5 years.

Tutoring Approach:

I honestly believe the best way to get across to children is by using analogies and diagrams. With my sister I try always to relate the subject we are going over to something she would understand, whether that may be her favourite band, or clothing, or a sport.

I teach biology and so much of biology is new information, unlike english and maths you aren't building on knowledge so it must be kept interesting.

I also believe that practice papers are the best way to learn. I don't believe that practice makes perfect, I believe perfect practice makes perfection and if you know how to answer a question, how to pick apart the question and know what the examiner is looking for then you are half way there.

Personal Description:
I am a fun-loving, chatty and bubbly person and committed to the success and achievement of my students. I try to incorporate humour into my lessons as much as possible as students are more likely to remember what they have learnt that way. I am out-going and always look forward to meeting new people. I am a native english speaker and CELTA qualified. I teach all areas of EFL but definitely prefer to teach conversational and business english.

Teaching Experience:

I qualified in September 2013 and have been teaching ever since then. I have got 7 hours class teaching experience but the rest and the majority of my experience lies with teaching adults in a 1:1 setting.

Tutoring Approach:

I tend to take a fairly laid back approach to teaching (depending on the student's requirements). I take a very pro-active approach and try and make the lessons as fun as possible, thus the student gains more from them and is more likely to remember what they have learnt. I encourage students to use what they have learnt outside of lessons, thus increasing their practice time and therefore improving their english immensely. I can set homework if I feel it is necessary but the responsibility to complete that work lies within the student. I motivate my students to go above and beyond the standard requirements. If the student is committed then this is always reciprocated.

Personal Description:
I am an experienced sociology tutor and proofreader having taught in the sociology department at the University of Warwick for four years and also for a short while in the School of Languages and Social Sciences at the University of Aston. (I can also tutor at this level in modern history, politics and international relations). I have BA in sociology and politics from Oxford Brookes University and an MSc in social science research methods from Sussex. I have also recently and successfully completed my doctorate at the University of Warwick. In addition to my university work, I have tutored for a private agency (where I held an advanced CRB certificate) at A-level in sociology, politics and modern history. I have a good record of helping A-level students to achieve the grades they require for a place in higher education and I have continued this success whilst tutoring independently in the north east where I have now lived for for the last year.

At A-level I am happy to help with essay writing and subject research and prep for exams. Please contact me early in your studies though (early in the academic year, as early intervention has greater rewards...).For undergraduates, I can offer advice on essay and dissertation construction and also on writing style and format. Additionally, I can help to formulate ideas for research projects and can proof read long or short drafts.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored at A-level and taught at undergraduate level for 7 years.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is simple: I help to give students the skills and knowledge they require to achieve their goals in education.

Personal Description:
Semi-retired, experienced teacher who enjoys developing students as independent thinkers. Passionate about supporting people in reaching their goals. Patient and supportive. Current Enhanced DBS Certificate.

Teaching Experience:

I have over 15 years experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths and Science in secondary schools; returning to teaching after working in industry where I extended my experience and skills in developing people to attain their personal and professional goals. Passionate about developing students to reach their maximum potential - I have experience in teaching, mentoring and supporting students across all abilities. Previous experience tutoring students in maths at both primary and secondary level.

Tutoring Approach:

Whether pre-GSCE and wanting to increase skills and confidence in maths, or working towards a GCSE and wanting to secure a higher grade - my approach is to understand the student as a learner to identify potential barriers to their understanding, and then building skills through practice to embed learning. I focus this within the context of what the student wants to achieve - the reason why they have sought-out help from a maths tutor.

Personal Description:
I have just recently finished my A-Levels and I am looking to help support others in the studies, especially GCSE and A-level. I completed AS Maths, Further maths, Chemistry and Physics and continued on to complete Maths, Chemistry and Physics. I am a mother so tutoring at my address is preferable but I am able to travel locally.

Teaching Experience:

I have no solid teaching experience. However, I did do a mentoring group with a year 6 pupil with their transition into high school as well as tutor some AS level students in maths, chemistry and physics whilst studying for my own A levels.

Tutoring Approach:

I would approach tutoring by asking firstly what subject, exam board and level the student needs tutoring in. I would then ask as to what topic in the subject they find easiest and which they find hardest. I would then start with the easier topics to get a basis of their understanding as well as boost their confidence. After that I would slowly progress into the harder topics as well as doing past exam papers, some together going through questions in details and some timed and in exam conditions so they can get the exam experience.
