Personal Description:
I am a British academic and tutor, with degrees from the universities of London, Jerusalem and Cambridge. Author of 'Israel and the Cold War: Diplomacy, Strategy, and the Policy of the Periphery at the United Nations' (I.B. Tauris, 2013), I write for several academic journals, and review for the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House. I was the first recipient of the Mikardo scholarship, awarded by the British Foreign Office, and, whilst at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, was awarded a Golda Meir Fellowship. Whilst at Cambridge, I won a Donner prize in Atlantic Studies.

Teaching Experience:

A former Teaching Fellow at King's College London, I have taught MA courses on the Arab-Israeli conflict, US and British Foreign Policy, War and Peace in the Middle East, and Inter-Faith Relations in the Mediterranean. A fluent Hebrew speaker, I was Peer Tutor in Hebrew at University College London, where I was awarded the departmental prize for excellence in the Hebrew language. I have tutored privately abroad, as well as in Britain, and have an immensely successful record with my tutees. Apart from one-to one and online tuition, I also offer intensive tuition during school and university holidays. I find that both tutees and parents find this particularly useful for preparation and/or consolidation of knowledge. For peace of mind, I have enhanced DBS/CRB clearance.

Tutoring Approach:

Relaxed, interactive, theme-based, and multi-disciplinary. Use of past papers, analysis, deconstruction of exam and essay questions, concepts, and requirements; development of essay, and exam structure. I pay particular attention to a student's self-confidence, and self-expression, which often serve as catalysts for enhanced self-belief and, hence, success.

Personal Description:
I am a 24-year-old, native speaker and fully-qualified teacher of French, based in Lancaster.
I completed my PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) in French with German in 2016, gaining Qualified Teacher Status, and I have experience of one-to-one tutoring in French and English as a foreign language, to children, students and adults.
I am a bilingual speaker of French and English and have lived, studied and worked in both England and France.

Teaching Experience:

- Currently tutoring and have previously tutored students of different ages and abilities in French and English as a foreign language
- Taught French at Key Stages 3 and 4 in two secondary schools over the course of last year
- Worked as an English Language Assistant in two colleges in France, teaching English to 15-21 year olds, in 2012-2013
- Did a one-week placement in a local sixth-form last year
- Worked as a supply teacher for various subjects in July last year

Tutoring Approach:

I tailor my tutoring to the needs and wishes of my students - whether you would prefer conversational practice with a native speaker, a more academic approach to prepare for exams, or learning French from scratch - it's up to you! I am friendly, patient and enthusiastic, and keen to help you develop your confidence and make progress.

In the first session I will gauge your level through conversation and some generic exercises, and discuss what you wish to focus on in upcoming lessons. From there, we will decide on topics and focus points together from one session to the next, with each session building on the previous one, so that you get exactly what you want out of the sessions and feel like you are making progress in the right areas, whether that be grammar points, speaking, or any other area.

Personal Description:
I am currently a Nursing student in my 2nd year of study. I finished my A Levels in 2013 and spent two years working in a supermarket and Science Lab.
I play team sports when I am also in charge of charity work and a qualified first aider.

Teaching Experience:

I previously tutored science up to GCSE level while studying for my A Level examinations. Then after finishing school tutored many other core subjects at varying standards.
When coming to university I continued tutoring maths and basic study skills

Tutoring Approach:

I believe tutoring should be individualised to the student and will take the time to adapt to their needs. I believe the best way to learn is to do and that everyone can learn when they feel confident.

Personal Description:
A dependable, passionate and well mannered Biomedical Science student with experience in tutoring. I am currently in my third year of studies, being trained in a pathological laboratory at the respectable Royal Marsden Hospital. In the future, I intend to undertake a PhD in my field and pursue a profession in lecturing.

Teaching Experience:

- Worked at Numberwork'n Words tuition centre as a maths and science tutor (taught pupils of all ages, from kindergarden to GCSE)
- Worked at Kumon tuition centre
- Previously tutored a student privately in GCSE mathematics

Tutoring Approach:

Personally I believe that every child is born with the ability to become a genius. There was a time when Albert Einstein had to learn how to count, when Shakespeare had to learn the alphabet, or when Darwin had to learn what biology even is. With the right attitude and guidance, there is absolutely no reason your child could not follow the footsteps of the most influential scholars.

The first meeting will be a discussion with the student/parents about the subject areas that need the most attention. Aside from adding to the pupil's knowledge, I will try my best to apply that information, and say why it needs to be learnt. My teaching method includes numerous questions and past papers, as this will be the most appropriate way to become comfortable with exams and get the most marks.

Personal Description:
I enjoy teaching maths and physics and I have had previous experience of teaching maths for a tutoring organisation. I am an 18 year old student in my final year of school (RGS Newcastle), currently studying towards 4 A levels in Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Economics. This combination of mathematical subjects has enabled me to develop a solid foundation of mathematics, as well as physics, which I am able to trickle down to the students I teach. However primarily I really enjoy tutoring as it provides me with an opportunity to interact and support young persons of varying ages, from primary all the way up to A level. It is fascinating to watch and support them as they develop and to push them to reach their true potential whilst refining my own skills.

Aside from teaching Mathematics and Physics, I would also be able to provide some advice about applying to universities for Economics/Maths-related courses as studying at the London School of Economics is my chosen career path for the future, and I went through the application process last year so it is very familiar. I would also be open to helping with personal statement writing and structure as part of the application process.

Please text me to get in touch.

Teaching Experience:

I have been a class assistant for Kumon Educational UK tutoring organisation for the past 2 years which has provided me with experience in teaching children of all ages, ranging from 6 to 17 years of age. Through this experience, I have taught children first-hand and this has strongly facilitated my role as a tutor.

I have completed a Sports Leadership qualification, in which I taught children basic sports skills and learnt how to communicate and cooperate with children of different ages.

I have had experience as a Lance Corporal for the NRGS Combined Cadet Force, in which I taught lessons to juniors in military craft as well as leading juniors in military exercises.

I am a 1st degree Blackbelt Instructor for the Newcastle Blackbelt Academy and through this role I have developed a high degree of focus and discipline. I have had experience in teaching junior students as well as leading classes of people of all belt degrees, adults and children.

Tutoring Approach:

Particularly in the case of tutoring children, I have had a lot of previous experience. I am able to cater to the needs of all kinds of children and have developed a knowledge of where children are likely to make errors and how to teach both simple and complex ideas in a palpable manner so that they are able to understand and progress with their learning. I look to target specific areas in which there are strengths and weaknesses and try to iron out any difficulties, one by one, before progressing onto the next idea.

Conceptually, I would like to create a strong foundation and try to perfect their knowledge of the basics before applying it to further concepts and doing it in this way allows future, more difficult problems to fall apart and be solved more easily.

I would like student to bring their own materials, books, textbooks etc relevant to their course or stage of learning and once the individual needs of the student, relative strengths and weaknesses, exam boards have been discussed, we can develop a plan. I am also able to offer additional material such as worksheets or practice questions if required.

Available on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday (Evenings).

I can also provide assistance with research methods, SPSS, or any other research related activities such as dissertations.

My main skill is my ability to communicate complex phenomenon in easy to understand ways. This has enabled me to receive high levels of student satisfaction in the courses I teach, and also nominations for university awards such as 'Inspiring and Engaging Teacher of the Year Award 2017'.

I have been teaching undergraduate psychology for a total of 5 years. This includes a wide range of subjects, including the core British Psychological Society (BPS) areas. I am therefore confident I can provide you with a high level of expertise regardless of the area of psychology in which you need support.

I have supervised undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level dissertations using both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
