Personal Description:
I am an MBBS doctor and have worked at St Georges Medical University of London. I am a trained PBL / CBL tutor and conducted tutorials at this university. I have completed my Diploma in Proofreading from NCC college of learning and work as a proofreader aswell.

I am interested in teaching profession. I have almost seven year experience of private and online tuitions of Biology, Combined Science to the students of GCSE and GCE and Anatomy to the students of MBBS.

I am very passionate about teaching. My teaching techniques differ with students. I know how to help weak students by giving small assessments. However, I don't believe in passive Learning, I want my students to be Active learner. So, my lesson is not based on just explaining topics but, I make sure that students understand that and do some work their-self.

I do different kind of topic based activities which enhance student's confidence and they can write their answers in more depth. Moreover, revision sessions are the prime importance of my lesson. I do believe, if students act according to my suggestions, the way I guide them, they will get high scores.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught Biology to GCSE and College level students in groups and individuals. From 1997-continue. I am aware of all exam board (AQA, OCR & EDEXCEL)

I do Problem and Case base learning at St Georges University of London (First, Second & T year)

I have taught Biology to AS/A2 level student in May-June 2009 - continue

I have taught Pediatrics, Obstetrics to a student of imperial college through face to face in 2009- continue.

I have good experience of teaching and supervising OSCE and have taught this to student of st Georges University of London in Feb-June 2009.

I have taught Pathology to a student of US Via correspondence in 2009.

I have interest & experience of teaching in the following areas;
GCSE, AS / A2 (GCE) levels, Physical Education (Academic side) & IB:
Biology
Combined Science
Applied Science

MBBS, Nursing, and Physiotherapy Degree Levels:
Medicine
Gynecology /Obstetrics
Pediatrics
Anatomy
Pathology
Physiology
Microbiology
Pharmacology
Forensics

Tutoring Approach:

As a tutor I elicit response that demonstrates understanding. During teaching I create the space for students to learn. For Instance, the art of my teaching is to ask students to demonstrate what they already know about the topic because it helps students in building their understanding based on their knowledge.

I can teach either face to face or through correspondence and I give students time to learn at their own pace. I always ensure that students have displayed their understandings to me. I am approachable and friendly so students can pay attention and feel they can ask question.

In addition, I also provide small assessments to assess the outcome of my teaching and student's understanding and their performance

I help my students in several forms. The most common of which are:
Preparing Notes and Handouts
Preparing Model Answers
Marking Work
Providing Mcqs for degree students
Helping in course work

Personal Description:
I am a 29 year old male working towards a Ph.D. in Mechanical engineering. I am lively and friendly and I enjoy learning as well as teaching.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently tutoring a range of students including National 5, Intermediate 2, Higher, Advanced Higher Physics & Mathematics and University level mathematics. This provides me a broad perspective on the school curriculum and allows me to relate between the different levels and help students fill in any gaps in their knowledge base as well as progress into more advanced topics as their skills develop.

Additionally I have been a Mathematics tutor at the University of Glasgow for three years while doing my Ph.D. During this time I have taught a large number of students with varying levels of ability and helped them get to the standard required for their university career. I have also worked as a private tutor at University level, teaching thermodynamics and fluid/thermal courses.

I have further experience teaching computer programming to second year students and I have worked in Spain teaching English to young children. I like to tailor my teaching approach to the pupils learning style and I am extremely patient and understanding.

Tutoring Approach:

I understand that many students learn in different ways and I try to adapt my style of teaching to the students needs. I am patient and I recognise that mathematics can be a difficult concept to grasp and is something which takes practice. I am friendly and approachable and I try to developed a relaxed and comfortable learning environment. Lastly I really enjoy mathematics and teaching and I think this transfer to the students!

Personal Description:
Hello! My name is Rhea and I love to teach. I am most excited about Art as this is my passion (I am currently working as a Graphic Designer). I also really enjoy learning about science (in particular neuroscience and psychology). I find astrology fascinating and so am both creative and a bit nerdy.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked in both primary and secondary schools as a teaching assistant. This was primarily in art in the secondary school, teaching children how to draw and use various materials to create great artwork. In primary school, I have helped teach literacy, numeracy, phonics, reading, science and art. During these experiences I have found ways of explaining new information to children so they can apply it without supervision. I also have worked in various school holiday clubs, so I relate very well to children.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is individualistic - each person has their own learning style and it is important to understand which way a student learns best. Some people are kinaesthetic learners, others are verbal and some have an amazing ability to memorize information. I am personally a hands on learner, but I am able to adapt to various techniques for students. I am friendly and personable and think it is important to develop a good relationship with tutees.

Personal Description:
Hi, I am Eve. I have been tutoring for 5 years in English, Drama, History and Film.

After graduating with a First-Class Honours BA from the University of Bristol, I went on to cofound a non-profit organisation. I then completed an MA at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, receiving a Distinction.

Whether you or your child need help with an essay, an exam or an audition, I am happy to help. I offer both academic knowledge and practical expertise.

Teaching Experience:

I have:

- Over 1000 hours of tutoring experience.
- Helped students to lift their grades by up to 4 levels.
- Worked with those of all nationalities aged 2-65

Recommendation:
'Eve tutored my son in GCSE Drama, English, History and Spanish. He found her teaching to be very clear and he required a great understanding of all the subjects taught, which was reflected in his very improved grades. Eve has a natural enthusiasm for teaching and an excellent ability to communicate with people. I would give her my highest recommendation as a tutor. Eve was very keen to get the best out of her student and her encouragement yielded great results!'

Tutoring Approach:

My goal each session is to help the student appreciate the role of art and culture in the curriculum (and the world more widely) be it by reading aloud with a small child or assisting an adult learner in analysing a film. By helping the student to discover his or her innate creativity, the student begins to enjoy the subject and move towards academic success. Together, we:

- Identify grammatical errors or creative blocks.

- Deepen knowledge.

- Learn tried-and-tested study skills.

- Set achievable goals for steady improvement.

Personal Description:
I currently share my time between working in a high school in Southport, teaching PE, and studying part-time for an MSc in Sports Science. I've been accepted on a PGCE to become a fully qualified PE teacher which will begin in September. I was lucky enough to get my current role teaching PE after a few years of experience teaching PE in everything from primary schools to a school in New Zealand. PE is one of the few teacher training subjects not funded by grants so I'm looking for work as a tutor so I can fund myself through my studies.

My particular area of expertise is the physiology of sport, I've always been fascinated with anatomy and the way the body works. I've gained a lot of experience working in schools and tutoring in recent years and, as such, feel confident in tutoring all areas of PE at GCSE and A level. Given my current academic success at postgraduate level I also feel confident tutoring at undergraduate level, particularly in physiology.

Teaching Experience:

I currently work as a PE teacher in a high school. I also have experience teaching in different tiers of the educational system. This ranges from coaching and PPA cover in primary schools to placements in SEN schools. I also have experience of providing sports science support to professional, semi-professional and university athletes.

I have also gained a lot of one to one tutoring experience within schools and homes helping tutees. This includes those taking GCSEs and A levels for the first time, those re-sitting exams and undergraduates needed help before exam season.

Tutoring Approach:

I don't think you can describe my approach in one specific way. I think, like all teaching, tutors should adapt the way they teach dependant on the individuals learning style and needs. The only word I could use is flexible.

Personal Description:
I'm 17 years old and am a current student of the Sixth Form at St Bartholomew's School. The four subjects I'm currently taking are Maths, German, History and Politics. In my AS levels I received an A in all three subjects I took, including in Maths. I am a big sports fan and am known to often watch football games at Hungerford Town and Reading. I can also be found at most Wales international home matches. I have experience in volunteering as a befriender for the Alzheimer's Society.

Teaching Experience:

I have a Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership, a course which I undertook alongside GCSEs, where I coached children in Years 3-6 to play sports. At school, I was a year long mentor for new Year 7s as a Year 9.

Tutoring Approach:

Patience is key. Children and young teenagers, who may find maths difficult, can easily become frustrated. It's up to a tutor to let the child overcome their frustration by enabling them to solve complex problems and to make maths interesting. It's often challenging for children to use up their spare time for extra tutoring, so tutoring must be enjoyable and enlightening in equal measure.

Teaching Experience:

I have hundreds of hours of experience with tuition, I work at Explore Learning tutoring English and maths! As an English and maths tutor for children aged between 4 and 15 years old, I know tutoring inside out. My main responsibilities include tutoring the national curriculum in English and maths and identifying areas that children find tricky by using my excellent listening and communication skills. By building rapport and supporting a positive working environment I always aim to help children achieve the very best they can.

Tutoring Approach:

I always create an enthusiasm for learning. This is a key part of my tutoring method. In this way, the tutee will get the best out of the sessions as well as create a pro-active, have-a-go attitude to learning! It's fun!
