I have mentored year 4 students in maths before as part of a scheme within school, as well as year 7 students. I feel that my unique selling point is that as a student myself, I can relate to the struggles that other students encounter when subjects are taught and delivered to them. I'm a 19-year-old tutor in Sheffield/London, who has been tutoring GCSE for over a year now during my gap year! I genuinely believe there is no better way to teach than to be relatable and reassuring. I tend to start my tutoring with warm-up questions relating to the previous session as a mini tester for memory. To keep track of content during the session I tend to switch between teaching and worksheets, making sure the student doesn't feel like they're at boring old school again haha. Towards the end, I'll do a brief summary and tester questions on what we've learnt to do.

It also depends on where we are at during the school term where typically towards the end I will focus on past papers more and constantly redirect the students to more resources to help them.

I'm a Medical Student at Anglia Ruskin University, I've worked hard to get to the stage I am.
During GCSEs my strongest subjects were Maths and Science. During A levels my strongest my subjects were Maths and Chemistry. I believe I've always found those subjects interesting and simple to understand because of my approach to learning the more complex topics. And this is something I'd like to share as I understand how confusing and difficult it can for students to wrap their head around a subject when there are many other subjects to study for. I am an aspiring Medic currently studying at Imperial College London, I have lived in London my entire life and love all parts of it. I am a judoka training many times a week looking to develop my skill and passion for the sport. I am passionate about learning as a whole and enjoy the endeavour.
