Personal Description:
I am studying in Cass business school as an undergraduate student.
I have been in the UK for 2 years and I speak good English.
As a girl, I am very patient, careful and detailed.
I like to communicate with people, so I am sensible about people's feelings. It means that I can easily understand the mood or thoughts that people will have when they lose confidence because of difficulties in study.
Mandarin is my mother language. My accent is considered standard and beautiful.
I am very good at maths since I was young. It is because I like maths and I have a good sense of logical thinking, which I will bring into the teaching process. For the module Math or Quantitative Methods, I got 100 percent and 94 percent in the autumn and spring term test and 98 percent in the final exam in ICC Foundation Course in SOAS 2008-09. This year in university I got 97.5 in the autumn term test and 76 in the spring term. These grades are well presenting my good knowledge of Maths.

Teaching Experience:

I am not a professional tutor and I do not have professional experience.
However I have mandarin-tutoring experience because I have tutored two persons in the past two years.

Tutoring Approach:

These experience was from tutorials for two tutees that I taught.
The first one has learned several basic knowledge of mandarin. In the tutorial, I basically help to correct her pronunciation and grammar errors in her short writings. Besides, I explained word by word and taught her certain combined Chinese phrases. The second tutee had not learned any Chinese before, so I gave tutorial from the very beginning of Chinese. It is the pronunciation system. I listed all vowels and consonants and all the combinations and made her read one by one, in order to strength her memory of all the pronunciation.
I used various ways and methods to strengthen their memory of words and pronunciation efficiently and attractively.

Personal Description:
I have just finished my first year at university after taking a two year spell out of education which included me working at Merrill Lynch Investment Bank (Junior Risk Manager), the City of London Corporation (Admin. assistant), the Co-operative Labour Party (Junior Policy advisor) and at the London Nautical School. It has been an enjoyable time in which I have gained many life skills that have enabled me to grow in maturity leaving me well placed to go on to succeed at university.

I study Politics and History. This is because I am interested in being a policy adviser after university, and I feel History as well as Politics is an important base for any policy adviser.

Two of my many pastimes are debating and sport. I am currently a debate tutor to several students, and I enter competitions regularly myself. Currently, I am in the worlds top one hundred in terms of debate rankings.

I am currently Vice Chair of a new young persons political think tank called New Turn. You can see evidence of my writing ability on its website, newturn.org.uk/articles/2010/05/post-democracy-revisited.

Teaching Experience:

For the first six months of 2009 I worked with children as a Teaching Assistant at the London Nautical school. This has enabled me to shadow different teachers, so as to gain experience on various teaching styles.

My time as a Teaching Assistant has enabled me to understand which methods are best used to make communication with young people easiest in difficult as well as calm situations.

I am also a one on one debate tutor to several City of London Girls School students.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to set homework to the students I tutor so we have something to briefly go over at the beginning of every lesson that allows me to judge their progress. I then like to break the lesson down into groupings so the student has a target of what they should have learnt by the end of the lesson. To refresh their memory in between our next session I set homework on the topics learnt in the lesson.

I am a very calm and patient person, having learnt to always keep my cool from the many difficult situations I have found myself in in the past two years. Making sure I get my points across in a clear and concise manner is something I am able to do well due to my skills as a debater.

Personal Description:
I am currently studying at Oxford University for a Master's degree in Physics. Having studied Physics, Maths, Chemistry and Further Maths to A level at King Edward VI Handsworth School, I acheived A grades in all subjects- all marks were above 90%. At GCSE, I obtained 11 A* grades and 2 A grades. I am a full member of Mensa. Other interests include singing, playing piano and swimming.

Teaching Experience:

Weekly tuition within the company "My Child's Education" since September 2008.
Experience tutoring mathematics to students aged 14-19.
One year spent tutoring English, Chemistry and Biology up to GCSE level.
Very willing to tutor similar subjects or English up to GCSE level, or Maths up to A-level.
Other relevant experience includes working with handicapped toddlers on a voluntary basis, and running various after school and lunchtime clubs for the lower school.

Tutoring Approach:

My main aim is to inspire students to be as enthusiastic about their studies as I am. Developing a real and lasting flair for more difficult subjects is a passion of mine. Having just left school myself, I feel I can relate to the students, perhaps better than a typical tutor. I believe that to succeed, a student needs to practice as many questions as possible and be familiar with exam papers. I use a range of resources, depending on the student's individual learning style and needs.

Personal Description:
I am an Electronics and Communication Engineering graduate.
Although I haven't any teaching experience,I know what it takes to make children understand a subject and I am rigid in my ways and make sure that when I do something,I do it to the end, same goes for my tutoring style. I would give extra time, without charge if i feel the need and make sure the pupil exits from my home with a clear understanding of the subject.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught my younger siblings from time to time, but apart from that,no proper teaching experience.
But I know that I can excel at tutoring when the chance comes.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very systematic and would deal with the students and their problems with patience and relevance, making sure that the student is very about his/her subject.
