Personal Description:
I am a highly experienced tutor with a Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering and Ph.D in Engineering (Expertise: High-fidelity numerical simulations).
As an undergraduate student at University, I was ranked number 1 with a top average of 83.4%; I was honoured to be the Top Engineering Graduate of the Year.
At A-levels I have passed the exams (Examining board - Edexcel) with straight A grades, and my mathematics mark in particular was ranked among the top in the world.
To date, I've also authored multiple high-quality scientific journal publications.
I am extremely efficient, reliable and able to adapt to people of all backgrounds and cultures. I have excellent time keeping skills and look forward to planning ahead. I am currently tutoring a large number of A-level and University students on group and individual bases.

HELP WITH COURSEWORK / ASSIGNMENTS & PROJECTS ARE ALSO OFFERED AT UNDERGRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE LEVELS AND FOR INDUSTRY-RELATED WORKS.

Teaching Experience:

At present, I work as a Senior Teaching Associate in Mechatronics Engineering at a leading UK University. However, I have been working as a private/personal tutor for the past ten years, helping students at three main levels: A-levels, Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. I also offer part-time lectures on Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Aerodynamics, Solid Body Mechanics (Statics + Dynamics) and Mathematics at Universities.

I have also published some academic journal papers, for example:
(1) Upscaling and its application in numerical simulation of long-term CO2 storage (2012). Akber Hassan, W. A. & Jiang, X. Greenhouse Gases: Science and Technology. 2, 6, p. 408-418 11 p.
(2) Modelling and monitoring of geological carbon storage : a perspective on cross-validation (2013). Jiang, X, Akber Hassan, W. A. & Gluyas, J. Applied Energy, Vol. 112, p. 784-792.

The current charge of 70/hour is only applicable for students who approach me within a limited period of time. My tutoring charge generally varies from 100/hour to 200/hour. Yes, I am a relatively expensive tutor, but I have a proven track record of excellent outcomes, unmatched by any other tutor/teacher/lecturer. In fact, I have made students who were failing their degree studies become university toppers (references can be provided upon request).

Tutoring Approach:

I approach students in many ways, however, this depends on the student's character, his learning abilities and how well he knows the subject. I would always be very friendly with the tutee and get to know where he/she stands in the subject(s). There will a faster rate of teaching with regular homework given to students to ensure that they understand what they will be taught. As the exams approach it will be a matter of fast track revision, and working through past-papers in like marking schemes. I strongly believe that this would increase the student's ability and confidence, and thus leading to better performance in their examinations. In short, good results would be assured for students with genuine interest in their studies.

Personal Description:
Highly motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering Masters Graduate from one of the leading University in London, with a good knowledge of different aspects of the Engineering field. I have achieved a 1st Class in the MEng course and I have studied many modules relevant to high level Maths and Physics. Furthermore, during my course I have achieved a 1st class in all the Maths modules. Prior to my Degree, I completed A levels in Maths, Further maths, Physics and French.
I currently work at the Bank of England as a Project Engineer on weekdays and I generally tutor on Saturdays & Sundays. However, I can also tutor on weekdays evening to accommodate the need and requirement of my tutees if required.
Furthermore, I also teach French as I speak the language fluently and have a good knowledge of the language. I have also completed an A-Level in this subject.
I am a friendly and supportive person who gets excellent results by making lessons fun as well as informative. I am considered to be patient and adaptable and many of my students come to me by recommendation.

Teaching Experience:

Since completing my University masters Degree, I have been tutoring maths, further maths, physics and French on a regular basis. I have tutored and helped many students achieve their targeted grades, many of which coming from private and Grammar.

Tutoring Approach:

Each student is treated as an individual and I use different methods of teaching to accommodate the needs of different students. I find that using methods which will develop independent thinking helps students progress.
In the first session I usually prepare a small assessment in order to identify the student's areas of improvement and then address those in the following sessions. I can also help with any particular topics/areas students are struggling at school and help with homework. Approaching exam periods I will provide student with a number of past exam papers to practice and I will go through any question that is not fully understood. My aim is always to raise the achievements of my tutees beyond their own expectations with challenging and rewarding lessons.

Personal Description:
Hi

I have just finished a PhD in maths at Newcastle University so it goes without saying I'm enthusiastic about both maths and physics. On top of this I have a wide variety of interests, and this allows me to find ways of explaining things that the people I'm tutoring can relate to.

Teaching Experience:

While studying at Newcastle I've taken many tutorials for students taking courses in Maths. For the past 6 years I've also worked in a tutoring drop-in centre where any student at Newcastle University can come to ask maths questions. I've always enjoyed this work as over the course of a day I can be asked how to apply maths to many problems from mechanical engineering to fine arts!

I have also done a lot of private tuition of A-levels for all of the major examining boards. I have often got this work from referral of satisfied customers.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a relaxed and friendly tutoring style.

I usually find students learn best by working through questions or examples, but I am also happy provide teaching of entire subjects from scratch. So if you're having trouble understand the material needed to pass an exam/assignment or wanting to learn about a subject from start to finish I will be able to help.

Personal Description:
After completing a BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science degree at Sheffield Hallam University, I began a three year postgraduate research degree (PhD) with the Oncology Research Group at Nottingham Trent University. During this time, I was given the opportunity to lecture / demonstrate to undergraduate science students, which involved supervising practical laboratory sessions and assessment of written coursework. I found this experience immensely rewarding and as a result, decided to pursue a career in teaching.

I qualified as a teacher in June 2002 and I began teaching science at a local secondary school in September 2002 and I became Head of Department in March 2007.

Teaching Experience:

I have 13 years teaching experience and 10 years experience managing a successful science department. I am also an examiner (GCSE Science) for the AQA and OCR boards and I have been doing private home tuition since 2010. I believe that science education should be engaging, relevant to the student`s everyday lives and foster an appreciation of how science can benefit future generations.

Tutoring Approach:

As a tutor, I aim to build confidence in my students, as experience has taught me that this is often the barrier that is preventing them from progressing within the classroom. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique, so that students can apply their knowledge successfully in an exam to achieve their potential.

Personal Description:
I am currently doing a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Manchester. I also hold masters and bachelor level engineering degrees which gives me an in-depth knowledge of sciences and mathematics. Due to my qualifications I am also able to guide GCSE and A-Level students in their future university aspirations and endeavors.

Teaching Experience:

I have been preparing GCSE and A-Level students for their exams for the past 10 years. My subjects of expertise are Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I have been working with students having a range of abilities and have been successful in raising their potential beyond their expectations. I have also worked at a school as a mathematics teacher for GCSE students for a year.

Tutoring Approach:

I focus on presenting difficult concepts in a manner that makes it easy for the students to grasp and comprehend. Once the students have understood the underlying concepts it becomes straight forward for them to tackle difficult problems they may encounter in an exam. I also complement their understanding by challenging them with difficult problems and giving them insights about the best ways to tackle the questions in an exam setting.
