Personal Description:
I am an ambitious and truly committed individual looking for the opportunity to utilize and develop skills obtain during my academic success within the teaching career.I enjoy teaching chemistry and science to others. I have done Master's in chemistry, gold medalist (university record breaker) and currently pursuing PhD.

Teaching Experience:

I am having more than 10 years experience in teaching Chemistry(biochemistry, organic, physical, inorganic, environmental, industrial, instrumental and engineering chemistry) general science to degree students in university. I am more emphasized on the numerical problems related to chemistry (basic as well as advanced) and making my students to become more aware of the organic reaction mechanisms and helping them to understand the basic concepts clearly. I am based in north London at the moment. As a lecturer in engineering chemistry, I taught as well as conducted experiments & tutorials related to applications of chemistry in engineering & technology, consisting of 50-60 students , facilitating their learning of the practical skills fundamental to applied chemistry, in a safe environment. Helped to reproduce experiments and taught associated theoretical concepts of the applied chemistry to engineering students, topics of which include spectroscopy, fuels, lubricants, electrochemistry, chemical bonding, chemical equilibrium, phase equilibrium, polymers, chemical kinetics, basic organic chemistry, stereochemistry etc, Helped in conducting advanced practical labs which included the volumetric titrations i.e. redox complexometric, iodometric, iodimetric, preparation of polymers like Bakelite and urea-formaldehyde resin, determination of surface tension, viscosity by various viscometers, verification of Beer Lambert's law etc.

Tutoring Approach:

I want to assist students with their educational growth and development. I believe that the education is the most valuable tool in a person's life and I don't want to miss any opportunity to help the students along this path. I am also motivated to teach as I enjoy the honesty and genuineness that children posses and I love to be around them; the children are a huge motivator in my desire to become an educator. An additional idea which motivates me is that I believe in knowledge grows with teaching.I use my technical skills in order to give best lessons to my students as it can be seen from their previous results. I am very patient and don't my teaching the students from scratch or basics.I am highly positive and optimistic and give my 100% attention to poor students.

Personal Description:
I have been tutoring students for the last 7 years and have broad experience in tutoring at the GCSE and A levels in Biology and Life Science. I have a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol, and a Masters in Biological Sciences from the University of Leicester. I have been in academia for the last 10 years and am passionate about the subjects I teach.

I adopt an interactive approach with the tutee, providing interesting examples to break the monotony and to help the tutee remember the subject better. My teaching style is methodical, and the progress of my students is of paramount importance. I take into account the individual needs of the tutee so that I can help the tutee achieve a good grade. I can provide online tutoring as well as travel to the tutee's home.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently tutoring A level and GCSE students in Biology and my experience in tutoring dates back to more than 7 years. I have also tutored undergraduate students at Bristol and Reading University. In addition to online tutoring, I am also able to tutor offline and cater to tailor-made courses as well as to individual requirements of the student.

Tutoring Approach:

My aim is to try and imbibe in my student a liking of the subject as well as help him/her achieve a high grade. My approach is very interactive and I like to break the factual monotony of the subjects by providing interesting examples which will help to draw the tutee's attention as well help her to remember. I try to interact with the tutee on a one to one basis and identify the weak and strong areas. I then focus on these areas and work accordingly bearing in mind the tutees requirements. I am a committed individual and do my best to keep the interests of the tutee on the forefront.

Personal Description:
I have a degree in Pharmacology and a qualified teacher of Science from KS1 to KS5. I am also an examiner; I mark GCSE papers. I am a very hard working individual who is easily motivated and always ready to adapt and learn new skills. Having had various opportunities to carry out a variety of laboratory assessments as key components of my course, I am able to work as an individual or as part of a team. As a part of my degree I developed essential and transferable scientific skills. My project title was 'Synthesis and Biochemical Evaluation of Heat Shock Protein Hsp90 inhibitors on MCF-7 breast cancer cells'. Studies on how drugs are discovered, developed and used to treat disease gave me an understanding of how the human body functions and how drugs can be used to affect these functions. I have experience teaching from KS1 to KS5 and open university students. I enjoy travelling; visited New York, New Jersey, Netherlands, Scotland, Switzerland, Austria, Spain and Nigeria. I get pleasure from working out at the gym regularly and I love swimming. I also enjoy studying christian books and other inspirational books.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently at an inner city school in Portsmouth. It has 900 students on roll. I have over 6 years of experience working with people with challenging behaviour, dyslexia and autism. Currently I am teaching Key stage 3 and 4. Teaching pure Biology lessons to separate Science; Physics, Chemistry and Biology to core and Additional Science students. For key stage 3 I have followed the QCA guidelines and for key stage 4 the WJEC examination board. I have written schemes of work for year 11 students to cover additional Sciences and rewrote schemes of work to meet the recent curriculum changes key stage 3 and 4. I was also involved in producing resources to be shared in the department about hydrocarbons, polymers, smart materials, ammonia fertilizers and many other kS3 topics.

Prior to this experience my first teaching placement during my PGCE year was at a mixed comprehensive with approximately 900 students on role. I taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics at key stage 3 and team taught for key stage 4. This prepared me well for my second placement where I taught all three Sciences across both key stages. My second placement was also at a mixed comprehensive school with approximately 600 students on roll. I also was involved in Individual Student Assessments (ISA). Additionally as a trainee teacher I regularly was involved in school base activities to encourage students. I was a Student Ambassador for Portsmouth University. It gave me a lot of personal satisfaction and developed my communication skills. I also attended the University of East London gifted and talented day in 2008; which was attended by a number of schools from the borough of Redbridge. It was an inspiring day of learning and fun and I have taken elements from that day into my classroom practice today.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is to first of all find out my students weaknesses and turn it into their strengths; I feel that the study of Neuropharmacology as part of my undergraduate degree in Pharmacology was very relevant to teaching. I have a secured subject knowledge with all three Sciences. I also like to bring the best of people, by being patient and understanding. I have the ability to cope and work under pressure, understanding of the challenges that need overcoming to learn, ability to take ownership of material and adapt it to suit the learning styles and approach of individual.

Personal Description:
I am currently a PhD student at UCL royal free campus. I am delighted to be in the same department with the researchers who developed the first synthetic trachea and nose. The PhD degree I am doing now is bone tissue engineering, engineering the 'plug' of the knee. I also gained a Merit in my MSc in the same department on Nanomedicine. My MSc involves knowledge in physics, engineering, material sciences and biotechnology.

I did my BSc in Biological Sciences at the University of Warwick with a '1st' in my final year research project on ' Early osteoblast with osteoclastic properties' . This project involved a lot of image analysis using confocal microscope images with image J software. I also have many experiences in doing cell culture and molecular analysis. (e.g. PCR).

During my MSc study I had a great amount experience on doing experiments, cell culture and cell assays. I will be publishing a research paper this year on the science behind the implant failure.
During my undergraduate study, I did one Undergraduate research scholarship project (URSS) on western honey bee decline. I am a keen individual and would like to help students to learn more knowledge in Sciences.

I am currently a postgraduate teaching assistant and a honorary worker at the royal free hospital. I am also doing a part time job in a A-level/GCSE college at Surrey. As a result, I am very experienced in terms of teaching and encouraging students to achieve their full potential.

Teaching Experience:

I have various of teaching experiences ranging from individual to small firms. I also have many experience in helping children with learning difficulties, I am very patient and have a great attention to detail. I used to help juniors during my A-levels in Bath and have experiences on teaching English in China. I would like to communicate with more people and share my experiences.

Personal Description:
As a scientist I have had extensive experience of teaching in an academic and lab environment, alongside interactive science at festivals and museums. I have always enjoyed teaching and I am passionate about igniting curiosity about science in those whom I teach. I have worked on a professional and voluntary basis with children from primary school age all the way up to Masters degree level.

Science can be a daunting subject and I appreciate the need to build confidence by tailoring explanations to different levels of understanding, and different types of personality.

My own scientific knowledge comes from understanding a topic rather than parrot-fashion memorising, I believe this is the best long-term learning method and therefore I will use this approach where possible with my students by building up from the basics.

I am very supportive of questions as working in the scientific field has taught me that there are no stupid questions and I think that learning is more efficient when a student enjoys what they are being taught. I also like to incorporate every day examples as I believe this can make science topics come alive and become relevant to an individual.

Teaching Experience:

- Private Tuition (2013): Last summer I tutored two year 10 students in GCSE level chemistry, both of which had a notable increase in their grades. One student after only 1 month of tuition made the remarkable achievement of an increase in grades from 34% to 64%.
- Work Experience Weeks (2005-current): I have supervised 16 A-level/undergraduate students for a work experience week. This involves tours of the labs, explanation of the science behind certain experiments and how drug development works (with written materials), as well as supervision of experiments.
- MSc Workshop (2011-2014): I created materials and helped run a workshop in Protein Modelling for the UCL MSc Drug Design course.
- Cancer Research UK (2011): Made a video and helped the Science Communication team create an interactive game to help the public understand how drugs bind into proteins.
- Volunteer Usher at Cheltenham Science Festival (2008-current): In groups I have helped supervised school classes doing experiments such as making a hot air balloon from tissue paper, drawing organs on a t-shirt (primary school), extracting DNA from a strawberry, making paper model DNA and using chemistry modelling equipment (secondary school)
- Cardiff Science Week (2004-2007): Supervised students with various science exhibits such as fishing for insects from a pond (primary school) and making a cell from a balloon and popping it to look at the inside of the cell (secondary school).
- Science Writing (2008-current): Writing articles at Cheltenham Science Festival, for London Science Museum and the Royal Society (for non-scientists and Children) has greatly improved by ability to write materials for tutoring. I have a portfolio if you are interested in this work.

Tutoring Approach:

As well as the approach I discussed above I also provide and create my own teaching materials with visual and interactive aids. I prefer to familiarise myself with the school syllabus so I can tailor my tutoring to the pupil's needs.

For any older pupils I can also offer advice on careers as well as help with CVs/applications to university.

I can also on request do small fun "kitchen" experiments to inspire interest and excitement in science.

Personal Description:
I am a Spanish postgraduate student doing a MSc in Paleobiology at the University of Bristol, where I currently live. I mainly have anl academic background in Biology (BSc in Biology + MSci in Evolutionary Biology) and I am now expanding my studies in the field. Hopefully I will starting my PhD studies the next Autumn Term.

Teaching Experience:

I have more than 5 years of experience as a private tutor both for Spanish and English students of all ages (from 7 to 30). However, most of them of them were in their teens and first years of University. I have managed also in a satisfactory way tutoring with students with special learning needs.

Tutoring Approach:

I strongly believe in a relaxed and pleasant teaching environment as the process of learning is controlled in an essential proportion by motivation and emotional mood. Additionally, I am really keen in Science, and in particular actually passionate about Biology. Therefore, as I have also good communicative skills, I feel I can transmit this passion to my students.

Lately, I have become really keen on languages as I am basically living a daily cultural interchange in UK. As a native speaker of Spanish, I could teach the language in a thorough way and virtually managed any level the student may have.
