Consistency and fairness is extremely important in marking and I continued to batch mark through my school experience and this is an area I will continue to gain experience in.

My approach is individualised based on the pupils needs. Usually I begin with writing and a close reading activity to assess the student's level of understanding. From this point we work together to draw up a plan of action. Sometimes this plan is interrupted due to the demands of schoolwork however I continue to refer back to it and provide the pupil with resources that they can work on in their own time.
