Although your lessons will be hard work they will be rewarding: the aim is to help you enjoy learning.

Personal Description:
* REGULAR UPDATES ON PROGRESS FOR PARENTS * LESSON PLANS PROVIDED *

I am a fun, bubbly and friendly individual. I thoroughly enjoy the science subjects and ultimately try to bring that enjoyment and fun element into my sessions. I feel that students need to enjoy what they are learning, in order to achieve their full potential.

I offer an initial FREE consultation with the student to introduce myself and to have a chat with the student and/or the family to identify which areas they are struggling with and what they would like to cover. This initial free meeting also gives you an opportunity to decide if I will be the right tutor for you.

Teaching Experience:

I am now working as a full time tutor and cover both Biology and Chemistry for AQA, OCR and Edexcel. I try to work very closely to the syllabus provided by the exam board.

I have several years experience at one of the top grammar schools in the midlands teaching students up to A-level where the lowest target grade was a B. I have a 2.1 degree from the University of Nottingham in Pharmacy.

I can supply references from previous tutees on request.

Tutoring Approach:

I think that it is important to employ a structured but enjoyable approach for the student. I love chemistry as a subject myself, and feel that in some schools teachers can make the subject more confusing and difficult than it needs to be.

I prefer to teach by stripping the subject down to its simplest form. It is important that students understand the fundamentals first and then build on these, so that they are not just memorising but understanding the concepts and principles as well. I feel that this process is essential if a student wishes to get good grades, particularly at A-Level.

I like to make teaching specific to the student, and to make it interactive. I make individual lesson plans for all of my tutees and I supply them to both the students and their parents. I can also email monthly reports to parents if they wish.

Why do i have to pay to get access to your details?

From Uktutors website: 'We only ask for a 4.99-19.99 (dependent on tutor) introduction fee once you have discussed your requirements with your tutors via the member's area. Some agencies charge up to 10 for every hour a private tutor teaches however we understand that many tutees are happy to manage their relationship with a private tutor themselves and this allows us to keep the costs to you down and provide a cheaper service'

I look forward to hearing from you and helping you to achieve your full potential in your exams!

Personal Description:
I am an MA Digital Media Arts student at the University of Brighton. I have four years experience as a full time teacher of ICT at secondary level and above. I have four years experience as a part time teacher of Photography at GCSE level. I have several years of private tutoring experience in ICT, Business Studies and Sciences, Photoshop and Photography. In most cases I have lifted the grades of the student by at least one grade after private tuition. I have over 30 years of professional IT experience.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught ICT full time for 4 years as well as some part time tutoring. My last A level student who I tutored achieved an A grade and when I started he was around a C grade. I have training in the Edexcel GCSE 2010 ICT Curriculum and also in the OCR Applied ICT A level curriculum.

Previously I have taught GCSE Photography and I was a professional tennis coach part time for 9 years.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is to find the areas that the student is having trouble with and zone in on those first, we can clear up a lot in a very short space of time and I always use plenty of examples and so on to help them understand and apply the data. I never move on unless I am sure they have achieved an adequate understanding. I move at the pace of the student but I also have a great belief that everyone can learn, and I aim to bring out their own inner belief and excellence.

Personal Description:
Currently I am working as Research Scholar at The University of Manchester and doing PhD in Aerospace Engineering.I have completed Master's degree in Thermal Power Engineering and B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore Pakistan.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught as Lecturer at under-grad level in the department of mechanical engineering, UET Lahore for almost three years. In January 2007, I joined the department, as Lab Engineer and then promoted to the position of Lecturer after completing Master's degree in 2009. The university and the department claim top position in national ranking and also enjoy the honour of being the biggest and oldest ones in the country. My career of about two years here was full of struggle and effort for excellence in teaching and research.
In addition to that I have have given tuitions as Home Tutor to GCSE and O/A level individuals and small groups.

Tutoring Approach:

I always have the highest expectations of pupils and always have had, even when it was fashionable for learning to be more "child centred"; this is an approach I have found to pay rich dividends in terms of a pupil's academic and personal development. I have always managed to maintain friendly and relaxed environment tailored exactly to what the students requires. Above all I can offer general education and career advice when it matters the most and have observed that my students usually make fast progress towards their goals and good outputs.

Personal Description:
My Name is Maddy, I am 19 years old and have recently taken A levels in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Biology at Bedales School. I have a place to study medicine at Cambridge in October 2014. I am able to tutor Chemistry and Biology to A level and Maths and Physics to GCSE level. I am also able to help students applying to study medicine with interview preparation, and preparation for the UKCAT and BMAT exams. I am also able to help with Oxbridge interview preparation for students applying to study medicine, medical sciences, natural sciences, biology or other similar courses.

Teaching Experience:

I have been working as a full time tutor giving one to one tuition in biology, chemistry, physics and maths. At school I spent a lot of time helping other students who were struggling with their studies. Other students at school often asked me for help with their academic work because i am good at explaining complicated concepts in a way thats easier to understand. I am always very patient and have very good problem solving skills. I spent an hour a week for 6 months volunteering at a local primary school teaching the children to read and use computers. I have now been working as a full time tutor for sever months.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very good at explaining difficult concepts in a way that is simpler and easier to understand. I am also calm and patient with students who find it hard to understand a subject. I usually work through topics areas or questions that the student is finding particularly difficult or we can go through past papers or work on exam technique. I think that all students learn in different ways and so I try to tailor the sessions to the individual student.

Personal Description:
I am a tri-lingual (fluent in German and Spanish) King's College London PhD neuroscientist student with a desire to pass on my knowledge to others. I have previously tutored in person and received great feedback with students receiving mostly A*'s and A's. I believe that interacting and stimulation is the key to excellent tutoring. I welcome inquiries from anyone who would like extra, on-going tuition, help with general revision or assignments, or preparation for exams.

Teaching Experience:

I have over 10 years tutoring experience with only positive feedback. All my students have gained B and above and mostly A and A*

Tutoring Approach:

No doubt the most rewarding aspect is that when you start tutoring a person, who start out struggling, gradually develop an interest and understanding. It's truly inspiring to see how they can engage with a subject when a slightly different perspective is offered. I am quite an interactive tutor and put a lot into pre planning all my lessons and so far I have had massive success with my students. Just recently a girl who was predicted B's and C's, which is by no means bad, achieved 3 A*'s in all the subjects I tutored her in. I will be tutoring her for A levels as well and will hopefully try and help her achieve her dream of getting into medical school and becoming a doctor.

I am very enthusiastic and believe exam practice is extremely important because even if you have the knowledge without the actual exam practice often it is hard to achieve that A or A*.

Personal Description:
I am a professional yet friendly individual who has a great zeal for education. I have obtained a PGCE in Secondary Science (Physics) and a B.Sc in Physics with Astrophysics (2.1). I have been tutoring for over 3 years. I enjoy learning as much as I like to share it.

Teaching Experience:

Over the past few years, I have worked in a variety of schools ranging from outstanding to special needs. I am working as a full time private tutor of Science and Maths and have taught students of different levels and different subjects including literacy and maths at key stage 2. I have also had some experience teaching for 11+ exam. I teach different exam boards at GCSEs and A level Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Tutoring Approach:

The first (trial) lesson usually involves getting to know the student, his/her academic requirements, etc. Depending on the individual, I like to give them an assessment, which helps me judge what level the student is at. If the student is happy to proceed (98% success rate), we commence the lessons accordingly. My lessons generally include note making, teaching using notes/ powerpoint presentations, etc and students attempt questions based on the topic(s) covered. I like to give regular homework unless asked and mini-mocks/SATs/ tests are given as well to monitor their progress regularly. For young students, I like to keep in touch with the parents regarding their progress reports. I tailor my lessons to the needs of my students so that they make the most of their learning experience.
