Tutoring Approach:

I think for teaching one has to come to the level of the student and also one must be aware of the requirement of the specific paper with reference to exam I mean exam approach teaching is the best of all. I believe in quality of the lecture not the length of it.

Firstly, the students needs have to be understood and then the tutoring phase will carefully outlined and tutees will be taught according to their needs. Questions will be encouraged throughout the session as these are important for higher understanding.

Personal Description:
I am a fun loving person who has always enjoyed mathematics. I am very approachable and love it when people ask me difficult questions! I know how hard it can be studying for A level, Higher and Advanced higher exams so I would be overjoyed to help someone willing to put in a little extra effort for their exams. I have been through the process myself and luckily I had good teachers who knew the importance of making classes fun and interesting. I hope I can fill someone else with the same enthusiasm that I have.

Teaching Experience:

Tutored many younger pupils on a regular basis whilst in school.

Tutoring Approach:

I hope to make mathematics fun and interesting as well as squeezing in all of the important information. I will never assume that someone has certain knowledge and make sure the most basic steps are fully understood before moving on. Having been a student myself so recently I know exactly what is required to do well in a GCSE or A level exam. The key to this is knowing which areas of the subject to put in the most effort. I can help a tutee to understand what the most important things to remember are and make sure they have a solid knowledge of these.

Personal Description:
Hi everyone. I am 32 years old and currently a final year student of the Open University where I am reading for a BA Honours in French and Spanish and English from the Open University. I was born in South America and grew up in the Bahamas. I am fluent in both Latin American Spanish and Spanish from Spain.

I have been learning Spanish since I was 11 years old. At 11, during my first ever spanish class, I fell so deeply in love with the language that I vowed to be as fluent as I can one day. I continued learning spanish and in 1998 at the age of 17, I wrote my Caribbean Exams (CXC) and was awarded a distinction in Spanish. I also picked up the award for the top Spanish student in Guyana for the year 1998.I come from a family of teachers. My parents are both teachers and so are most of my aunts, uncles and cousins.

I live in Northwood with my family. I have a passion for languages and I am a very patient and interested in developing my students' learning capacities and encouraging their appetite for languages . I am available to teach small children, kids up to the age of 14, students preparing for GCSE and A levels and adults who want to learn this beautiful language. However,my main focus is students preparing for GCSE and A levels . I focus a lot on developing pronunciation and fluidity and also in perfecting the four main components of language learning which is reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Teaching Experience:

When I lived in South America, I taught Spanish at two private schools for over 4 years. I specialized in teaching elementary spanish to kids aged 5 to 12. I also taught intermediate spanish to kids aged 13 to 16 who were preparing for their Caribbean exams and to adults who had a genuine interest in languages . I absolutely loved teaching spanish since its a language I love. I enjoy imparting the knowledge I have to other students.

At the moment, my full time job involves translating a very large range of Spanish business documents and also providing interpreting services on behalf of my employer.

I tutor in London mostly on weekends . However, I can also arrange afternoon tutoring on weekdays .

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is two fold. For the young kids, I use alot of repetive exercises, aimed at sharpening their memory. I also like to engage the young kids in playing games , using flashcards and a wide range of colourful and interesting tools. Learning a language can be daunting for little kids and since their attention span is so short, I feel that it is very important to make the language fun for them so that they will actually look forward to learning the language instead of seeing it as a boring task. I use lots of pictures and incorporate drawing and painting activites in their Spanish learning. I also show them videos and songs. I take my ipad to classes and use it a lot to support my teaching.

For older kids, I first would teach a core lesson, then give simple exercises to reinforce what has just been taught. I allow the kids to try and grasp what I have taught and give them plenty of chances to ask questions . I think it is implortant for every child to fully understand each core lesson before moving forward to other lessons. I like to give bits of homework and also encourage my students to tell me if they think they need any extra exercises which I am quite happy to mark to ensure that they understand what is taught to them. I also use audio visuals and artwork in their learning. I also encourage students to make their own colourful flashcard sets or reference,

For GCSE and A level students I focus a lot on working through exam guides, perfecting pronunciations and developing listening and writing skills. I have a multitude of past papers I also work through with students and mark them and give feedback

Personal Description:
I'm and experienced tutor and teacher. Not just in the academic sense but in the practical sense too. I've worked in business, including six years as European Sales and Marketing Director of Pentax in Brussels and ten years as President of a French IT company. Real practical experience and real experience too in Politics - I was, for example, a candidate at the last General Election! So I can interest and enthuse my students in History, Politics and Business.
I have two sons, one of whom has just completed his GCSE's and moved on to the IB and the other is studying Film at Falmouth University, so I'm very aware of the tough choices and hard work facing students today and I'm there to provide both a strong level of academic support as well as listening and advising them.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring one-to-one for a number of years now for CET and Randstad, both in students homes and in secondary schools. I have also taught History and Politics at Abbey College in Cambridge for two and a half years. Each summer sees me teaching the Oxford Royale Academy 'Business & Enterprise' Course and indeed, I am also responsible for writing and updating the courses myself. I have considerable experience and knowledge of advising students and parents on their way through the UCAS process.

Tutoring Approach:

I seek to establish and identify the individual needs and characteristics of each student. I have a strong belief in the importance of inspiration in tutoring and feel that the role of the tutor is as much about building confidence as it is about reinforcing knowledge.
I tailor work to each student and have a full and comprehensive database of materials and information in all my subjects built up over a number of years and covering all exam boards.

Personal Description:
I am a fourth year university student at Imperial College London, I study Civil Engineering.
My A-Level results for Maths and Further Maths are A*s, and A for both Physics and Chemistry
when i was year 12 and 13, i took part in Maths Challenge, and represented the school for National Team Maths Challenge, and archived 8th place in the final. Also, i have silver Certificate for year 13 Physics Olympiad which is meant to be the top 300 in UK.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently tutoring a student for GCSE maths, boosting him from Grade B level to Grade A*
I have tutored another 3 students before as well, 2 for GCSE Level, 1 for A-Level
I have covered Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology
During my time at sixth form, i worked in sessions with primary students to teach them fundamental maths. Also I worked in Maths Master Class which helps students with Maths as well.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to discuss with student, make sure they understand the theory rather than just memorize it, because if you have a clear understanding of the fundamental, you will be able to think more than you have been taught and able to answer more challenging questions
When they got stuck on some points, i prefer to explain it to them by making examples rather than just reading from book.
I can find out the weakness of the student, and focus on that point to teach him.

Recently I worked with East Surrey College on a contract basis teaching Financial Statements, Personal Tax, and Financial Performance (AAT Level 4).

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is to groom my students in a flexible manner towards passing their exams and ensuring that my lectures are carried out in a friendly and conductive environment that involves every student. I believed that teaching is a social institution as much as it is a profession, hence partnering with my students by becoming one of them provides me that yardstick to which a good relationship between us is established.

The emotional and social (pastoral) platform I created enable free communication between us and giving me that opportunity to gain their trust and their cooperation. The ramification of this is their countenance when they work in the morning and their readiness to discuss issues or their concerns with me.

My approach to teaching is methodical, resulting from the principle of hard working and professional discipline; my scheme of work and lesson plans are well prepared ahead of the start the course and handed over to my students at the very first day of every semester. Also the weekly lesson plans are given to my students one week in advance of the lectures. I always seek to start every topic within a syllabus with a tutorial question that provides student with that rudiment or fundamental principles in which that topic is enshrined.

I like the idea of interactive class, as a result I used questions as a means of communicating my lectures with my students and ensuring every student within the class is involved. I moved from one table to the other and where necessary I dealt with student on a one to one basis if I felt a particular student seemed to be lacking behind. Passing any paper within any accountancy professions require a lot of reading and treating many past questions by students.
