Personal Description:
Native Spanish speaker. A self-motivated and hard working Spanish Teacher with experience designing lessons according to student's needs/requirements. I am able to identify learning difficulties and quickly adapt lessons to bring out the best for each one of the students. An effective communicator

Teaching Experience:

Company: PLAN INTERNATIONAL .Woking , Surrey
Freelance Spanish Teacher: Novice, beginners and intermediate Students
September 2006 - April 2007./ February 2008 - April 2008.

Chris Polatch Foreign Languages, Courses
Freelance Spanish Teacher: Novice, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced Students - January 2008 up to now.

Private Tuition: July 2006 up to now.

April 2005 - March 2006 Freelance Spanish Teacher for novice, beginners, intermediate and advanced students. Institution: ILISA. Panama City - Panama

Tutoring Approach:

The communicative approach centered in developing students' skills and abilities is my preferred tutoring approach, but it depends on the students needs. In the first lesson there is an assessment of competence and a learning style evaluation so I can easily tailor the Spanish course according to the needs of the student.
In all cases, Spanish classes include grammar, written exercises, talking and listening, and the writing practices are carried out through the homework (optional)
Also important the mutual evaluation at the end of each class so that both student and myself can correct/improve something that is not going well in order to fulfill mutual expectations, and have an interesting, funny and efficient Spanish lesson every class.

Personal Description:
It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.' ~ Albert Einstein

This quotation holds many truths: I am a strong believer in the necessity of positive educational experiences. As an enthusiastic , engaging and encouraging teacher I promise to provide this through my tutoring.

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified Teacher of English graded by Ofsted as 'Good' with 'Outstanding' features. I have tutored for many years. Furthermore , I offer many support sessions to the students at my academy. I have participated in numerous CPD (Continuing Professional Development) sessions which have focused on the new GCSE framework. My forte lies with teaching KS4 and KS5 students.

Tutoring Approach:

The primary aim of my tutoring is to raise students' attainment. I set high expectations of students' attitudes and achievement. This is aided through an ethos of achieving 'personal best' and a 'can do' attitude to work and learning.

The most important thing to note is that my approach to tutoring varies depending on the tutee's needs. A variety of learning techniques will be implemented with a focus on promoting literacy whilst addressing the key skills of reading, writing , speaking & listening.

My tutoring approach is always relaxed, yet focused. Homework will be set.

Hello. I am currently a second year student at Northampton University studying English with Fine Art: Painting and Drawing. I am friendly and approachable, hard-working and conscientious with outstanding organisational skills.

Teaching Experience:

Private Tutor - Self Employed
I have been self employed as a private tutor for three years. I have tutored a large number of pupils ranging from 11 to 17 years old and am proud to say that I improved each student's exam results by at least one grade. This job assists in developing my organisational skills as well as the ability to interact with others and explain ideas in a way in which they understand.

Teaching Assistant - Southend High School for Girls
I worked as a volunteer at a Grammar School for girls independently taking and assisting teachers with lessons in both English and Fine Art. My duties included constructing lesson plans, ensuring the pupils were well behaved and understood the work which was set for them, and preparing resources for lessons.

Teaching Assistant - Lancaster School
I worked as a volunteer at a Lancaster School assisting in teaching the children and providing a safe and fun environment for them to develop in. Lancaster School is a small Community Special School students aged 14-19 with a range of complex needs to include neurological impairments, complex physical and medical difficulties, severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).

Personal Description:
I am a postgraduate student, currently studying my 4th year of mathematics at the University of Birmingham, with a first class degree for my first 3 years. I obtained A*, A and A grades, in A level Mathematics, Further Maths and Physics respectively, at Gordano Sixth Form in Portishead. I like to spend my free time enjoying computer games, films, and philosophy with friends.

Teaching Experience:

Besides one to one tutor experience, I have taught a further maths class in both classroom and lecture styles at Gordano Sixth Form (under Mr T Heysham), teaching both compulsory and extra-curricular mathematics, and have provided teaching assistance on several occasions. I also continue to support and collaborate with my peer group at university to discuss and understand the more challenging concepts in mathematics. I find these experiences improve my ability to arrange and explain things logically, and to convey difficult ideas in a way that people find easy to understand.

Tutoring Approach:

I am very enthusiastic about mathematics, and I hold it to be one of the most valuable and rewarding subjects. As such, I find it very satisfying to enable others to embrace it. In terms of tutoring style, I draw inspiration from some of the brilliant teachers and lecturers from whom I have learnt over the last few years.

Personal Description:
My name is Selena ,24 years old,a native chinese speaker.I would describe myself as outgoing ,creative and cheeful.I have over 4 years teaching and tutoring experience in chinese language ,literature ,geography and history .Now I study in a college in Golders green, london .

Teaching Experience:

My major in university was Chinese language and literature and I got certification for being a secondary chinese teacher .I have taught students from 9 to 30 years old since in university (purposes for chinese testing and speaking ,writing ,reading ,depends on what u wanna learn). So I am sure I can deliver intricately well-planned lessons, midweek support, and devotion to ensuring the goals of the handful of students I teach are being met.

After my gradutation ,I got a full-time job in a public middle school for two years being a chinese teacher .My students loved my class because I always tried to organize creative and intereting class activities and tried to stimulate their potential.

The minimum lesson time I can do is 2 hours, I can only accept payment in cash and I intend on being available for the next 6 months.

I am available in evenings, weekends, and during the day, depending on which day of the week you wish to meet.Whilst I am not the cheapest tutor ( about 30 pound a hour) ,but I could ensure your extra money is well spent.I look forward to hearing from you!

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is very student-based.I strongly believe that students have the right to negociate their learning prefers and process which allow them to take ownership of their own learning strategies, and thus, monitor their own progress. My belief is that teachers should try to provide whatever resources and methods that aid the student in this process. Teachers can only steer the direction of learning, not choose it. I also believe that students and teachers should work together to establish their learning agenda, and cooperate to make the experience both meaningful and enjoyable.

Personal Description:
I am an 18 year old student currently in my Upper 6th year at St. Albans School. I have had a passion for Maths since a young age, and have enjoyed studying the subject and relating it to others all the way through my time at school. I achieved an A* at IGCSE, 97% at the Advanced OCR FSMQ, and am currently completing OCR A-levels in MEI Mathematics and MEI Further Mathematics, averaging 98% in all modules completed so far. Overall, I gained 10 A*s at GCSE, 5 As at AS-level (studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Spanish and French) and will be sitting my A2 examinations (Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Spanish) in the summer of 2014, for which I am predicted all A*s. Away from academic work at my school, I am Vice-Captain of 1st XV Rugby, Second-In-Command of the School CCF contingent and Deputy Head Boy. I have also completed my Silver DofE and am working towards the Gold Award, and have worked as a volunteer tennis coach at a local club, coaching children ages 5+.

Teaching Experience:

I have regularly helped less experienced members of my maths classes to understand certain aspect, and have also helped younger years on various homework assignments. I have done some sports coaching as well, coaching tennis to children from the age of 5 upwards for a summer at a local club.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to create a relaxed teaching atmosphere for students, where I will explain the method for solving a problem, take them through worked examples and then allow them to attempt problems alone, prompting and helping where needed. I feel that being younger than most tutors I have the advantage of being able to better understand the point of view the from which the student sees the problem, and so can teach effectively using this knowledge.
