| About Matthew: Matthew is a graduate of the University of Cambridge, where he read Law, and the Open University, where he read Mathematics and Physics. He is a governor of a school in York and has an Enhanced Disclosure Certificate obtained through City of York Council. He is a member of the Mathematical Association, the Royal Statistical Society, the Association of Teachers of Mathematics and the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics. He has had articles on mathematics education published in the Times Educational Supplement and the York Press. |
Teaching Experience: Matthew has been teaching for 14 years, at schools in both the UK and USA. He has been an examiner for Edexcel and is currently an examiner for AQA. |
Tutoring Approach: I work best with bright students who are not being stretched at school. I have taught most of the modules from each of the exam boards, including Further Maths. I am extremely experienced in exam preparation, having taught it for many years and being an examiner, so I work well with students who are focussed on achieving high grades in exams. |

| About Amos: My name is Amos and I am from Australia. I am an easy going bloke who gets on with everyone. My studies include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media and Cinema, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Media. Through my secondary studies, on top of media, of studied a lot in music. This included history. theory and performance in Violin. I also played the Saxophone. Teaching Experience: My experience in tutoring is limited, but through working in management positions professionally, I am constantly teaching and training new staff, which uses the same principals as tutoring. The only difference in being a tutoring is that it allows me to teach areas I am passionate about, which in turn benefits my students even more. |
