| About Aisha: I am 31 years old and a mother of two children. I have more than 8 years of teaching experience in London Primary Schools. I have taught both KS1 and KS2. |
Teaching Experience: I have taught in Primary Schools as a KS1 and 2 teacher. I have also had the opportunity of being a subject co-ordinator and a year leader. I have also had the experience of being a private tutor and I have also taught in a specialised Saturday School. Here I was also responsible for training students for the 11+ exams and the SATS. |
Tutoring Approach: When I start tutoring children, I offer them an initial assessment, which can be both written or oral. Only upon the findings of this assessment and after discussing with both the childrens parents and the children about their weaknesses I plan the next course of action. However all tuition schools run by different theories and I am willing to adapt my approach. |

Teaching Experience: I've been working as a fully qualified teacher in Belgium for the last three years. I've been teaching maths, science, physics, biology, geography and social studies to 12 - 16 year olds. In the school I was teaching there was an all inclusive approach to teaching (learning disabilities and social problems). |

| About Amy: I am a university student, currently studying Dentistry at King's College London. I am very friendly, well-organised, reliable and can easily get along with children, young adults and adults of all ages. I have excellent communication skills, constantly gaining experience from the nature of my university course and tutoring jobs. I was also Deputy Head Girl of my school, dealt with pupils from 4 to 18 years of age and was able to appreciate all pupil's differences. I have several private tuition jobs and have very good relationships with all my students. I have many hobbies, some of which includes playing piano and badminton. |
Teaching Experience: I am currently a private tutor and part-time piano teacher and help pupils from ages 5 to 18 progress with their learning and exam skills. I have done private tuition in biology, chemistry, maths, music and mandarin. As I did GCSEs and A Levels not very long ago, I am very familiar with the system and I am able to give lots of advice on studying skills and help them to not only gain marks in exams but also understand the concepts that were taught and increase their knowledge. I can vary my teaching styles and the materials I teach so that students can understand the materials taught at school clearer and at a deeper level. I am always able to help my students with any problems that may arise in the subjects. I have also had experience in teaching students with dyslexia and autism. |
Tutoring Approach: I have different approaches to tutoring different students as they all learn in a variety of ways. However, on the whole, I try to make learning fun and involve them as much as possible. For older students I treat them as young-adults and deliver the information in a way that is easy to understand and condense complicated material into ones that are simpler and quicker to learn from. I like using diagrams and scenarios and reinforce important knowledge whenever necessary. I believe that practice makes perfect so I always give students questions both during and after lessons. |
