I bought these for French, German and Spanish (they're identically set out) when I was in year 9, and I have to say that they have been absolutely invaluable in learning the grammar of those languages. If you know all of the vocabulary presented in these books (in small, manageable sections) then you will be well equipped for the Higher reading and listening papers but especially for the role plays and the conversation. If you want vocabulary to learn, as well as more exam questions, then go for the

I am a trainee ML teacher and this is an excellent book for working on subject knowledge and seeing exactly what it is the exam boards want the pupils to know.

This book has really helped me in my study of french and makes revision much easier. Grammar points are explained simply, and this is what lets you make up your own sentences and get the top marks. the revision questions at the end of each section reinforce what you have learned and let you know what you need to go back over. all this at a reasonable price, definately worth the money.

Although this book was helpful in the learning and understanding of many phrases, I felt that to really help one revise GCSE it needed to give the student more space to make up their own sentances and to show how things were constructed more, rather that just dishing out phrases without the key points explained.
